Chapter Fifteen: I Meet Some Old Friends (Percy)

I trained. I was still good. Well of course I was- I had centuries to practice (against aria).

My friends kept giving me worried looks. I didn't take off the cloak because I didn't want to show them the scars.

When the conch shell blew for dinner, my sword was suddenly in my pocket. I walked to dinner with my friends.

We walked in silence, but every once in a while I would giggle for no apparent reason.

I skipped into the dining pavilion and immediately sat at an empty table. My friends all sat next to me.

When the food came, I sacrificed all of it. People looked at me weird when I walked away from the fire with an empty plate. I sat down and Leo stared at me.

"What, did you want it?" I asked him.

"Why would you get rid of all of your food?" He asked.

I shrugged. "I can't eat. Now, did you want it?"

Leo nodded slowly.

I clapped my hands and the plate refilled. I passed it to him.

"How did you do that? I don't see how that's water powers." He said.

I shuddered. "Water." They looked at me weird again. "Uh, I got some powers from Hestia."

"Oh," Leo said. "That makes more sense."

"Leo, that means that I can control fire too," I said. The look on his face threw me into a giggling fit.

I'm glad it wasn't a coughing fit. I don't feel like coughing up blood right now.

"Anyway," I said, "should I say hi to the campers?"

"Yeah," Nico said.

Everyone who was at dinner was staring at our table silently.

Hmm. I didn't even notice.

"Hi guys," I said, waving.

No one moved.

"I'm back," I said. "I'm glad I'm back. I hate it in Tartarus."

I walked away from dinner grumbling about how I don't like Tartarus at all and giggling every once and a while.

Everyone just started at me.

I found myself walking towards the beach.

As soon as I saw the water, I let loose a small scream and scrambled back the other way.

I passed Nico on my way, and I slammed the door to my cabin.

A few seconds later someone knocked on the door. I opened it and saw Nico.

"Can I come in?" He asked.

"Yes," I said, stepping out of the way.

He walked in. He sat on my bed, and I sat down next to him.

"Why'd you scream?" Nico asked.

"I went to the beach," I replied.

"Why'd that make you scream though?" He asked.

"Water," I said simply.

Nico saw that this wasn't going anywhere and changed the subject.

"What's the dam thing about?" He asked.

"The dam snack bar," I said.

"What about it though?" He asked.

"Zoë said 'dam' at Hoover Dam," I said.

"Okay," Nico said, relieved he got an actual answer for once.

"So," Nico said, "are you going insane or something? You never giggle, you only laugh."

I giggled.

"I'm insane alright," I managed through giggles. I giggled so hard that I fell off the bed. Then a coughing fit started.

I coughed up blood and it spattered against the ground. Nico saw it and gasped.

"What's going on?" He demanded.

"Oh." I coughed. "I'm just," I coughed again, "coughing up blood." I coughed. "Don't mind me."

He keeled next to me and tried his best to comfort me.

"Torture is awful," I muttered.

"Torture?" Nico asked.

"Yup," I said. "Only a few centuries of it."

Nico looked at my incredulously.

I giggled, and spattered some more blood.

Then, it stopped. I wiped off my mouth of blood. Then I pointed to the blood and said, "I should probably clean that."

"I'll do it," Nico said.

"Thanks," I said. I sat on the bed.

Nico came in with a wet cloth. The water dripped near my shoe and I brought me feet up on the bed and hissed like a cat. Nico looked at me, but then cleaned it up.

When the ground was dried off, Nico sat down next to me.

"How did they torture you?" He asked. "Who tortured you?"

"Kronos," I said casually. "And you know, torture. They also brought in monsters to help."

Nico looked at me.

"Lets go outside and climb the climbing wall or something," I said. "I haven't been here in forever."

Nico hesitantly nodded.

I ran out of the place.

I got to the climbing wall in a few seconds. Nico got there a few seconds later, panting like a dog.

"How do you run so fast?" He asked me.

"A few centuries of practice can do you some good," I replied. "You first!"

"Okay," he said.

"Will you help me if I'm in trouble?" He asked me.

"Of course," I replied.

He was almost crushed.

Then he mysteriously burst in to flames and appeared at the top.

He looked at me. "Thanks!" He called.

I quickly climbed up and sat at the top.

When we were done, we checked to see if anybody was waiting to climb up. Nobody (not Nobody, but nobody- ugh, you know what I mean) was, so we planned a game of truth or dare with all of our friends.

Then we talked to our friends and asked them if they wanted to play. They all said yes.

We were all gathered in Nico's cabin.

"Are you guys ready?" I asked.

"Yes," they all said.

"Okay," I said. "Then let the games begin!"

I started giggling like a madman at the thought of the line from the Hunger Games.
