"Tell me who's gon' save me from myself, When this life is all I know. Tell me who's gon' save me from this hell. Without you, I'm all alone. Who gon' pray for me? Take my pain for me? Save my soul for me?
'Cause I'm alone, you see. If I'm gon' die for you, If I'm gon' kill for you. Then I'll spill this blood for you..."

KAI COACHMAN
[May 15th, 2023]
I stand quickly from my crouched position but before I can move, Alec slips something in my pocket. I look at him as he stands up as well. I try to not look at his prize possession.
"Use what's in your pocket as a just in case," he tells me.
"You're not coming?" I ask with wide and scared eyes.
He shakes his head with a smile, "I am, just go on first."
I nod and quickly flee from behind the bushes and sprint as fast as I can towards my mom. Ailee and Lyn haven't see her yet so maybe I can take her away before they see her but luck isn't on my side as my mom calls out Lyns name. Instantly, their gaze snaps to her.
I'm close enough to wear they see me but I'm in a close proximity to my mom where I'm able to grasp her arm and pull her behind me. I know it's too late to run as Ailee has her gun out, pointed towards me while Lyn holds a gun similar to Ailee.
Elliot is frantic and he rushes to Ailee with watery eyes. I didn't know why he was with her but I'd ask that later.
"Ailee please don't. I told you that you can get counseling, you can get better. You don't have to do this, you—"
"Shut the hell up, faggot," Ailee snaps with irritation, "I already told you, I won't rest until I see the death of everyone in the Blue Moon Pack."
"Ailee—" Elliot grasps her elbow but Ailee shrugs him off harshly and he falls onto the floor with a thud and whimper.
"What a reunion this is," Ailee smiles.
"Your voice never ceases to annoy the shit out of me," I remark with annoyance despite her holding out a gun.
I feel my mom hit my back.
"L-Lyn, is that you?" My moms voice cracks as she pokes her head over my shoulder to look.
Lyn says nothing but smiles but it isn't a good smile. It's a corrupted smile that wishes you nothing but bad things. A smile that would make even Hitler cry.
"Oh? Who else would this be except Lyn?" Ailee smirks.
My mom tries to come from around me as tears fill her eyes but I hold my mother tightly behind me.
"She's lying, mom," I say firmly, "don't believe a word she says, all she does is lie."
"Then how is Lyn standing there?" My mothers voice trembles.
"Witch," I hear Elliot murmur.
Ailee scowls and kicks his side. He cries and I glare at Ailee with anger.
"Don't hurt him," I spit out.
Then I recall what he says and I feel like I'm being deceived. Witch? A witch? Witches don't exist, it just isn't possible but then again I didn't think werewolves existed but they do so a witch wouldn't be too unbelievable.
"So a witch brought Lyn back to life?" I ask with disbelief laced in my voice.
"I wasn't going to reveal anything but since this one—" Ailee glares down at Elliot and kicks him again to which I scowl at her, "said it, I might as well explain since you and everyone you're close to won't live much longer."
I wait for her to continue talking and she does.
"After my attempt to kill you failed, I went back to the scene where the last war was and searched for where Lyn was buried. I found her and put her body pieces in a trash bag," I scrunched up my nose in disgust as I heard my mom gasp behind me, "I took her to Oliver's cousin who is in fact a witch. She did her witch thing and that's how Lyn is here, though this is only temporary. She will be alive forever if she ends the life of a family member."
My heart stops.
"Is it really Lyn?" I hear my mom ask.
"It is truly Lyn," Ailee smirks.
She's lying, I can tell by the glint in her eyes. Looking at Lyn it's easy to think it's her but the air around her tells me otherwise. I couldn't believe any of this.
"Take my life!" My mom shouts as she tries to run past me but I frantically grasp her arm and pull her to me.
"Are you crazy?! Mom, that is not Lyn," I yell at her.
Ailee stands there with a wicked, satisfied smile.
"Look, Kai," my mom points at Lyn who stands there with that creepy ass smile, "that's my baby girl. She's breathing, she's alive, she's the same as I can remember her. I need to give up my life so she can live."
Tears stream down my mother's face but all I can hear is her crazy talk. I shake my head firmly as I hold onto her tightly.
"That is not Lyn mom, look at her. You know it's not Lyn, don't be fooled because of what's in your heart," I clench my teeth together.
My mom turns to look at Lyn and whispers, "that's my baby, I need to save her."
I ground my teeth together, feeling hopeless as my mom tries to walk towards her but I pull my mom back to me and force her to look at me.
"What about me then?" I ask her frantically, trying to change her mind, "you'll leave my life."
"I'd give my life up for the both of you, you're my babies," my mom sounded so broken and I could tell that looking at Lyn brought up memories of everything.
Memories of when we were together happily with our dad, memories of when we were being abused but my mom had no idea, memories of after the fact when the pieces of the leftover of our family were trying to be picked back up. It surfaced and I saw it in her eyes. She was desperate, trying to hold onto a string of hope that this was Lyn and the fact that this was not Lyn was something she blocked out without hesitation.
"If you're Lyn when's my birthday?!" I shout at Lyn who just stands there but her smile wavers, "If you're Lyn what's the name of our father? Who was your first grade crush? What rollercoaster did I ride on in second grade that made me puke my guts out? What...what broke us apart?"
Lyn didn't say anything but the smile was gone.
I was crying and I didn't even realize it until I felt my mom reaching up to wipe my tears.
"That's not Lyn," I whisper.
Ma has a tear rolling down her face as she sadly nods.
"That's not Lyn," her voice shakes.
What was Lyn began to turn into something else. It was no longer Lyn, it was Oliver, Ailee's mate that 'died.' This was turning into some Harry Potter voodoo shit that was difficult to fully comprehend.
Ailee stomps her foot in irritation as she scowls.
"For fucks sake," she hollers out.
That's when I began to understand what was going on.
"You lied. This was Oliver all along but he was under some witch shit type spell to look like Lyn. You wanted us to give our life to 'Lyn,' so she could live forever but Lyn was actually Oliver so this was all just some damn ruse to keep Oliver alive," I exposed what I calculated in my brain aloud.
"Congratulations, you can put two and two together," she says sarcastically, "doesn't matter, you'll still die and be used to keep my baby alive."
She aims the gun at me and I hold my mom behind me but my hand slips into my back pocket and I slowly pull out the item that Alec placed in it. Looking down at it, I see that it's some sort of needle that's filled with greenish liquid.
I'd need to get close enough to Ailee to inject this in her and I also need to get rid of Oliver who looks ready to fight as well. I also had to make sure my mom was safe which didn't leave me with a lot of options.
Before I can really come up with a plan and calculate what I'm going to do, I see Elliot kick Ailee's leg harshly and she falls down, dropping her gun in the process. Elliot quickly picks up the gun and throws it but is tackled by Oliver in the process so the gun goes spiraling in a direction not close by me. I try to run for it to catch it while holding onto my mother but it doesn't work out as I see the gun land in someone's hand.
Looking at the person, I see that it's Alec who doesn't waste any time in shooting Oliver directly in the heart. He falls, blood oozing and life leaving his eyes.
Ailee screams as anger erupts within her pain filled howl.
"You'll die for that!" She growls.
I see her nails extend into claws and her teeth sharpen and elongate. She charges wildly at Alec and he tries to shoot her but there is only a single bullet that's he's used already. She tackles him before he can shift and she raises her hands to slash at his throat but I thrust the needle into her neck and instantly inject the liquid into her.
Her body convulses a bit before her limbs begin to twitch until her body slackens and she falls off of him. She coughs, trying to breath but it doesn't look to be working and I see life leave her.
A bullet is shot through her heart and I look up to see who did it and I see that it's Elliot with tears streaming down his face.
I didn't know where he got the gun from but that was the least of my worries as I immediately hug the crying boy close to me on my left side. I hug my mom tightly on my right side and I allow the tears to fall because Ailee was dead.
The moment is cut short as I see Declan and Chris rushing over to us.
"Cub," Declan calls out with relief in his voice as he rushes over to me and pulls me into his arms.
He hugs me tightly, his aroma calming me despite there being blood on him. I shook as I cried in his arms because I felt safe and secure. I felt like everything would be alright as I was wrapped up in his arms.
"I went to the building but I didn't see you and got so damn afraid that something happened to you," he says and I hear his deep intake of my scent.
"Ailee's dead," is all I can say.
He releases me and looks down to see Ailee's lifeless body on the floor. I hear the growl building up in his throat and I knew nothing but anger arose as he looked down at the girl that brought so much anguish and grief into our lives.
"I want to check on my babies," I sniffle as I look up at Declan.
He nods and turns to look at Chris.
"Call warriors to come burn her," he instructs and he wraps his arms around my waist and begins to walk until he sees Alec.
"You accompanied Kai?" He asks him.
Alec nods, "I did."
"Thank you, If it weren't for you I don't know if Kai would still be alive," Declan thanks him.
"It's no problem, I was given the instruction to by General Warrior Edwin," Alec smiles.
Declan nods, "I'll have thank him then."
"I'll help Chris take care of Ailee," Alec says.
Declan only nods but says nothing more as he begins walking while holding me close. Elliot and my mom walk close to us. The walk to the building is silent but the silence is necessary as our minds are wrapping around recent events.
We make it into the building and I see pack members outside. Some are crying because of the loss of their significant other or their children. Some are hugging their loved one tightly as they fought and came back.
I rush past them, without interrupting their moment as I enter the building. As soon as my eyes land on Aiden, Hazel, Easton and Asher, tears fill my eyes and I run over to them. They see me and spring up from where they sat playing with Kaylee, Jaylin, Eros and Xander to rush into my arms.
Bent down, I wrap my arms around all of them and take in a whiff of their smell. My heart was beating fast as I became emotional because I loved them each so much. I feel large arms envelope around me and the kids as well and turning my head slightly, my eyes shine and light up as I see Declan.
His lips meet mine and I kiss him back before pulling away and holding our kids close to us tightly. Our kids squirm as it's become uncomfortable for them and so we reluctantly release them and I see Aiden, Asher and Hazel rush off back to the other kids while Easton shyly hangs back.
Before I can try to encourage him to go back and socialize, Aiden turns around and rushes back over. He holds onto Easton's hand and smiles at him, tugging his small arm to come. Easton shakes his head with a small pout but Aiden doesn't take no for an answer and tugs Easton along.
Laying my head down onto Declan's shoulder, I sigh.
This isn't what I expected today to be but I'm happy I'm with Declan and I'm happy everyone I love is okay.
An end to a major conflict. The story comes to an end from here guys.
~xoxo, Babybird.
