"Sometimes I just fucking hate her," May says, running a hand through her now brunette hair.

May immediately smiles back while Chris rolls his eyes and gives me a playful punch on my shoulder.

"We're basically family, it's our job to do shit like this," Chris says and I chuckle but he continues and says, "I would enjoy fifty dollars though."

I punch him in the chest roughly and he groans, clutching onto the spot as he narrows his eyes at me. May laughs loudly at Chris's misfortune, something Kai would do, and she begins to walk away with Chris in her arms. They were a cute couple, I had to admit.

When they leave and I'm finally assured that everyone is gone, I walk into the bathroom where my tux is laid out for me. This was the most cheesy thing I'd done, I'm pretty sure this would potentially beat the birthday surprise that I did for Kai a few years back but I was anticipating his response. Of course, his response could be bad but I chose to think optimistically because if I didn't I'd chicken out of doing this and fuck up everything.

Kai deserves the best so I'd give him the best.

I pulled off what I wearing except my briefs and I slipped on the tux. Looking at myself in the mirror, I slightly began to wish I took up Bryns offer for her to style my hair because my hair was the definition of messy.

I did what I could and worked with it as I ran my hands through my jet black hair and tousled it to the side until it looked good enough. My black hair really did one hell of a good job to brighten my blue eyes. I always thought blue eyes were so damn overrated but the way Kai looked into them like they were everything made me begin to value them.

When Kai entered my life, every single bit of my thoughts were surrounded and filled with him. He meant so much to me and it's still crazy that someone is capable of making me feel like this.

I get out of the bathroom and release a breath as I walk through the first floor until I get to the door that leads out to the backyard. Opening the door, my eyes catch the beautiful decorations that have been displayed.

The large rectangular pool was a shinning, eye catching blue with a variety of white and pink flowers swimming in it and occasionally bumping into each other. Candles that are lit line the pool and make a pathway that I follow that leads to the grassy area. The candles make a circle and I stand at the center, releasing a breath that I hadn't even realized that I was holding. Chained lights hang from a tree that was behind me.

What made a smile quirk onto my face were the three pictures of Kai and I that were in a grey picture frame nailed onto the tree in a diagonal lining. Kai and I were smiling in the first photo, in the second one it looked like it was taken off guard which it was because I don't remember taking the picture. Kai was pinching my cheeks harshly because I was making fun of him and I bared the pain as I grasped his wrist. Looking at it made me laugh lightly.

The last photo was taken, again, without our knowledge. We're sleeping in the hospital bed just after our babies were born. In our arms are our four kids who are sleep just like us. It was truly a wholesome picture and I think it was my favorite one.

I love Kai so fucking much.

I rub my hands together. The weather outside was nice, it wasn't too warm but it wasn't cold either. It was the perfect temperature to go out on a run in wolf form.

"I thought we were playing pin the tail on the donkey so why the fuck do I feel the breeze of outside," Kai says and I can't help but cover my mouth because if not, I would've laughed loudly.

"We're taking a small break," Finnick replies, "count back from ten then remove the blindfolded, okay?"

Kai nods and Finnick quickly scurries away while gently sliding the back door closed. I hear Kai counting down and as he does so, I watch him and take him in. He's in a casual t shirt that I thought was his but looking closer and noticing how it's too big on him, I realize it's my shirt and I smirk slightly. He always looks good in my stuff.

He wears grey shorts that come down above his knees and sandal type shoes grace his feet. He's completely underdressed compared to me but then again, he doesn't know what's about to happen.

"One," Kai says and I puff out a breath of air as his hand goes to the back of his head to untie the blindfold.

The fabric disappears from his eyes and he opens his eyes, showing the brown eyes that I fell madly in love with. His eyes depict shock as his head turns to look at everything and register what the actual fuck is going on.

Then his eyes find me and a smile blossoms onto his face, an expression that is highly contagious as I wear a smile that mirrors his. He quickly walks down the path lined with candles but he's too fast and he slips and falls into the pool.

I bust out laughing, leaning forward because I kept replaying it in my head over and over again and it was fucking funny every single time.

He swims above and gasps before running a hand down his face and glaring at me. I suck up my laughter and walk over to him with tears in the corner of my eyes from how funny it was.

"You're so damn clumsy," I tell him, bending down as he approaches the edge of the pool, where his hands grasp the edge.
