*5 years later*

"Mommy when is daddy coming home?" Jess's daughter Sophia asked.

"I don't know honey but you will get to see him soon don't worry." Jess said to her daughter who was looking through Drew's stuff.

"What happened?" Sophia asked.

"When me and daddy were filming a movie together with auntie Erin someone shot him and he had to go to the hospital." Jess said still has memories of that to this day. They still don't know who did it after five years of investigating but hopefully they find them soon.

There was a knock on the door breaking the conversation that the two were having and when Jess opened the door, she was met with Rudy and Erin. Sophia ran to the door knowing who it was.

"Uncle Rudy, Auntie Erin." Sophia yells running straight into their arms and the two embrace the little girl.

"Hey munchkin." Erin says

"Sup niblet" Rudy says ruffling Sophia's hair causing her to smack his hand away.

"Two things Uncle Rudy. One, stop calling me that, and two, don't touch my hair. Mommy worked hard on it this morning." Sophia said and went back over to Jess.

"Whatever." Rudy said coming inside and seeing everything scattered on the floor. The closer Erin and Rudy looked, they realized most of the stuff was Drew's and a few tapes of the whole cast that was playing on the TV.

"Wait, play this for Sophia. I think she would like it." Erin says, holding up a tape that said 'The Bet: Jess and Drew's love story'. They took out the old tape of everyone playing at the beach and screaming to the tape Erin was holding.

"When did we get this?" Jess asked

"Just watch it." Erin says smiling as the video starts.

"In the land of the dino's" Chase starts off and Madeline smacks him in the head and tells him to be serious.

"Okay. A while back we were filming a show called Outer Banks and you are probably wondering who this is since you might not have met all of us. I'm Chase aka the best person ever." Chase says.

"I'm Madeline."

"JD"

"I'm Austin"

"I'm Sean who you won't see a lot of"

"I'm Madison"

"I'm Carlacia who you see later "

"There are other people but these are the main people you will see" Chase continued.

"We wanted to make this for when these two love birds have a kid or two so you can see. But this is how Jessica Reed and Drew Starkey came to be." Sean said taking over.

"We have been recording most moments together when we don't film to make this possible, and are excited for you to see it. May we introduce to you the bet."

Jess pauses the video and turns to Erin and Rudy. "Did you guys make this?"

Rudy nods his head and Jess hugs him and goes back to playing the video.

*One month later*

Drew is finally out of the hospital and is all better. He will finally get to see his daughter for the first time and he couldn't be more excited to get home.

"Drive faster, I want to see them." Drew to Rudy who was picking him up from the hospital.

"Relax, they aren't going anywhere. Also Jess found something that she wants to show you." Rudy said, turning down the street to the house.

Once inside, the first thing he sees is Jess holding his daughter.

"Welcome home." Jess said, trying not to cry. As fast as he could, Drew walked over and embraced the two of them in a hug and kissed the both of them.

"I missed you." Drew said, not letting go. Once broken apart, Jess led Drew to the couch and showed the video Rudy and Erin showed her. When it was over, Rudy said he had one more surprise.

"I think Sophia should open it." Rudy said

"Can daddy help me?" Sophia said holding Drews hand, not planning on letting go any time soon.

Drew helps Sophia open the present and is met with a book. When Jess and Drew look at the book name they are met with the same one that was on the tape.

"Did you make it a book?" Jess asked

"Yup now you can relive every moment on a screen or reading." Rudy said as Jess thanked him.

"Well I have to go but I'll see ya soon. Bye niblet." Rudy says to them and then Sophia and ruffles her hair again.

"Bye Uncle Rudy." Sophia says.

Drew and Jess were reading Sophia a story until she fell asleep. Jess kissed the top of her head and she and Drew left the room.

"There was only one line left. What does it say?" Drew asked as Jess said

"And that ladies and gentlemen was The Bet."

this isn't the last time you will be seeing me as there is an epilogue and some bonus chapters but that's it for now.
