Chapter 4: Yaoyorozu

Watching this game was absolute tomfoolery, though I couldn't help myself. I was genuinely curious as to who Bakugo liked. I did have to admit I would truly be flattered if it was me that he had taken a liking too, though I highly doubted it.

Bakugo didn't seem like the usual type of teenage boy. I couldn't just heft my breasts up in my shirt, and expect attention. He seemed more sophisticated, in his own weird way. This needed to be more of a courting situation.

I slid my tie into place over the collared shirt to my school uniform, and spritzed a bit more hairspray into my ponytail. I then opened my perfume cabinet, sifting through all of the scents. I settled for a subtle, yet absolute tried and true one today. It simply smelt of red roses. The flower of love and admiration. I spritzed some over my pulse points, which would ensure he got wafts of it through the day. I tidied up my papers into my book bag, and headed down to make my morning tea. I decided to make a pot of it this morning, waiting patiently for Bakugo to emerge.

As soon as he entered the kitchen, I looked up with a soft smile.

"Good morning, Bakugo. How did you sleep?" I asked, gesturing for him to join me for tea. He looked at me with his brow furrowed, but sat down across from me. I tipped the tea into his cup, careful to ensure it didn't splatter. A lady never allowed her tea to splatter in such a manner.

"Um, I guess I slept just fine." He mumbled, looking uncomfortable. He chugged the tea, rinsed his cup, and headed for the door.

"Dear, would you mind terribly if you could wait for me? I would like to discuss some topics that will be on the quiz today with you, if it wouldn't be a bother?" He froze, looking at me as though I had several heads. I was starting to get the feeling that I wasn't the one he had feelings for, but I hadn't been blasted to bits like poor Aoyama yet, so I had to press forward with my advances.

"What the fuck do you mean? You literally have a perfect score in the class. What could you possibly want my brain for?" He snapped. It wasn't vicious, but I could tell he was irritated. I gathered my bag, and headed towards him. I put my arm in the crook of his elbow, gently easing into the conversation about hostage situations and tactics that would be covered on our quiz. I turned his nose up at the contact, but didn't break the contact. He also didn't bend his elbow to properly escort me, letting his arm hang limp. I kept ahold of him until we made it to the class, where I took the seat to his left. He hadn't really said anything on the way to class, only humming in response to a few of my questions.

The rest of the day went similarly to this. He didn't particularly speak to me, but he wasn't aggressive towards me either. Even though I could tell I'm not the one he has feelings for, he wouldn't be a bad person to make friends with. I made a mental note to try to pursue a friendship with him once this bet was over.

That evening in the common area while we were eating dinner, I noticed he hadn't eaten yet. I made two plates of the dinner I made, walking over and offering it to him. He looked up at me with a questioning look, then accepted the plate.

"Thanks." He said, barely audible. I simply nodded, and sat across from him. Once our plates were clear, he did something that surprised me. He took my plate and his, rinsing them and cleaning up after the dinner I had made. I smiled softly. Whoever he did like was going to be very lucky to have this boy. He was obviously raised correctly, even though he liked to put on a front. I got up from the table.

"Goodnight, Bakugo. I'll see you tomorrow." I said, softly.

"Yeah. Night." Was the only response I received. I went up to my room. Tomorrow would be interesting. They had a group chat going, minus Bakugo. This was where they decided who would go next.

All she could think of before she fell asleep was:

Poor Kaminari.
