Chapter 55
The Bet
Clarke picked Janet up and sat her on the dresser. Pushing her legs apart, she grabbed her hips pressing against her firmly.
"Fuck I want you so bad." She said and tried to kiss Janet neck but was shoved away. Clark gazed her for a moment confused. The look in Janet's eyes helped to give her very quick understanding of what was going on. She grabbed Janet off the dresser, turned her around and bent her over it. "Bend your ass over." She said firmly, ripping her panties and throwing them to the floor. Taking a hand full of Janet's hair, she pulled her head back seeing her face in the dresser mirror.
Janet looked at her intensely. "Take it baby." She said. Clarke watched her face as she pushed into her deep. Janet braved herself, one hand against the mirror, the other between her legs rubbing her throbbing clit. She moaned loudly, face down against the dresser. The drawers rattled as things began to fall over and roll onto the floor. "Damn Baby yes!" Janet threw hips back, grabbing the dresser with both hands as Clarke held her hips tight and fucked her faster. "I wanna see you." Janet said.
Clarke turned her around sitting her back onto the dresser. Janet grabbed her by the strap and pulled her closer as she spread legs wide rubbing the head against her hot opening. She took Clarke by the hips forcing it in deep as she moaned loudly. Clarke captured her lips, kissing her furiously, while plunging into her over and over. Janet wrapped her legs around her waist, wanting more of her. She grabbed Clarke's dreads pulling her head to one side as she sucked and kissed at her neck. "Oh make me baby... yes!" She moaned louder feeling her walls clench the strap tightly. "Fuck me Clarke!" She yelled as her body began to tremble. Clarke fuck merciless as Janet's orgasm over took her. She pushed off the dresser causing Clarke to lose her balance, sending them falling back to the floor. They both laughed uncontrollably laying side by side.
Clarke glanced over at her. "I love you babe." She said. Janet smiled.
"I love you too Clarke."
They stood up. "Let's get cleaned up. Want to shower with me?" Janet asked.
Janet started the shower allowing Clarke to go in ahead of her. It was nearly sunrise and they both needed some sleep. As Janet held her head under the running water, Clarke played in her hair. "Baby?" She finally said after a long period of silence.
"Mmhmm?" Janet said turning around, pushing her hair back and wiping the water from her face.
"I want to talk to Wissam." Janet glanced at her for a moment. She was so relived to hear Clarke say that. "I just feel really bad and I feel like I didn't make a very good impression with him last night."
"You didn't. He was so angry with me and you both." Janet paused for a second, choosing her next words carefully. "He threaten to file for full custody of Eissa because of it."
"Are you serious?" Clarke said angrily.
"Clarke getting mad about it won't fix anything. It'll only make it worse. You have to understand as Eissa's father where he is coming from." She said. "You came home drugged. You're still rolling." Janet said as Clarke's attention quickly diverted the water jets that she was starting to play in. She glanced back at Janet.
"Sorry it just feels good. I will fix this. After our shower, I'll try to sleep this off and then I will email and ask if we can do lunch or dinner."
"I should come with you." Janet said.
"No babe. I need to do this. This is my fault. I need to own up to it and fix my mistake. He is a good guy. The fact that he came to watch Eissa while you came to rescue me shows his character. Let me do this." Clarke said.
Janet smiled and pulled Clarke close. "I appreciate that baby. Thank you. You are amazing and I want him to know that he has nothing to worry about." She kissed her lips softly as Clarke pressed her against the shower wall. "Hold on cowgirl." Janet said. "We have to get some rest."
Clarke laughed. "But I didn't get a turn..." she said pouting.
"You're also in trouble. You're lucky if I let you ever get another taste of this again." Janet said grazing herself softly.
"You're such a tease I swear man." Clarke scoffed.
"Yup now help me wash my back so we can finally get to sleep." Janet said laughing.
They dried off and made their way to the bed. As they snuggled in, Eissa started to cry. Clarke looked over at the baby monitor and then the clock. It was 6am. Janet pretended to snore.
"Oh those are the games we're playing?" Clarke asked. She started to snore even louder. "Don't get up babe. I got it!" She said smacking Janet on the ass before walking out of the room.
"Love you!" Janet yelled.
Clarke enter Eissa's room. He was standing up in his bed crying. "Hey buddy. What's wrong?" She said picking him up. He had a full diaper and she laid him down on the changing table. "Can you hold this for me buddy?" She said handing him the new diaper. He chewed on it as she cleaned him up. Taking the diaper from him, she noticed he'd drenched the side of it. She laughed. "Well we cant use this one now." She grabbed another and secured it on him. "Okay, I gotcha little guy." She walked over and sat down in the rocking chair with him. He rubbed his eyes with one hand. holding her finger tight with the other. She rocked him until he'd fallen back to sleep.
Clarke made her way back into the bedroom. The sun was already up and the light on Janet sleeping face made her look like an angel. Clarke snuggle up close. "You are the most beautiful thing I've even seen in my entire life. I never want to let you go." She whispered and closed her eyes. Her heart had finally begun to settle down as she drifted off to sleep.
She opened her eyes to the faint music playing. She sat up grabbing her head. It was pounding. That had been the longest night and morning of her life. She was glad it was over. She grabbed her phone. It was completely dead. Plugging it in, she turned it on and had 5 missed calls from Alicia. She needed to call her back.
"It's about time. There is a meeting at my house tonight. Everyone is required to be there. Make sure you come."
"Fuck you Alicia... I quit." Clarke said and hung up the phone. She stood up feeling a bit dizzy and dehydrated. She slipped into a T-shirt and some shorts and followed the direction of the music. Gil and Janet were in the kitchen laughing and talking.
"Well well we'll..." Gil teased. "I thought you would never get up." He walked over and kissed her on the cheek. Her dreads were a mess all over her head. She smiled at him. "How you feeling big Daddy?" He asked.
"Thirsty." She responded. Gil laughed, knowing the feeling.
"Here..." Janet said handing her a Gatorade and a bottle of water. She kissed her. "Morning beautiful." Clarke looked around.
"Where is Eissa?" She asked. Gil was in back ground, he did his best runway walk as RuPaul's Cover Girl song started to play over the speakers. They both glanced at him and laughed.
"Wissam picked him up a few hours ago. His brother is in town and wanted to see him." Janet finally answered.
"Did you happen to mention that I wanted to speak with him?"
"No," Janet responded. "I figured I'd let you handle it." She said sitting two aspirin next the water she'd given her.
"Okay I'm going to email him now and see about an early dinner."
Wissam didn't take anytime at all to respond to Clarke's email. In fact he answered almost immediately. That made Clarke more nervous than anything. But she was ready. Janet walked her to the door.
"Just remember to be calm. He can get a little... how can I say... passionate when he talks. But I think you know from the hotel incident. Just please don't let him take you there, no matter what." Janet was clearly nervous and for good reason. She knew what was at stake here. She fidgeted with the buttons on Clarke's shirt.
"Baby I got this. I'm gonna remain chill even if he isn't. I promise it will be fine." Clarke said trying to ease her mind. Preston pulled up just as Janet opened the door. He got out of the car and stood patiently as Janet kissed Clarke goodbye. She smiled at him and waved.
"Hey Preston, thank you again."
"No problem Ms. Jackson. That's what I'm here for."
Clarke glanced back at her and blew a kiss. She mouthed the words, I love you. Janet smiled and put her hand to her heart.
They pulled up to the restaurant and to Clarke's surprise Wissam was waiting at an outside table and Eissa was with him. As usual Eissa noticed her first. He laughed, holding his arms out for her to pick him up. It made Wissam look up from his phone. He stood to greet her.
"Hey man, thanks for meeting with me." She said having a seat. Eissa was still trying to get her attention. She looked over at him and smiled. "May I?" She asked before picking him up.
"Sure, yeah that's fine." Wissam answered.
He laughed as she took him from the high chair. He looked at her so adoringly. It was hard not to notice.
"He loves you." Wissam said.
"Well we spend a lot of time together. He's my little buddy." She said tickling his nose with one of her dreads, causing him to burst into the sweet sound of baby laughter. Clarke laughed too.
"Is the incident from last night a normal occurrence?" He wasted no time getting to the point.
"No Wissam and I owe you an apology. I went to a work party. Gil and Janet tried to warn me about these Hollywood parties, they even gave me a list of rules to follow. I ended up drinking water that they'd mixed drugs with. I freaked out and things got really weird really fast."
The waitress approached them and took their order, putting the conversation on hold for a brief second. She smiled at Eissa. "Your son is beautiful." She said to Clarke.
Clarke smiled nervously and glanced at Wissam. "Thanks." She responded before the waitress walked away. She glanced quietly at Wissam for a moment. "Wissam I'm really sorry for the way I acted. You gotta know, that's not me. I love Janet and I love Eissa. I would never do anything to hurt either of them. I'm sorry I made you doubt that."
"Thank you for saying that. I see the way she looks at you Clarke. She never looked at me that way. And look at Eissa..." He said. Clarke glanced down at him and he was just starting up at her with a smile on his face. "He clearly adores you. I have to watch out for my son though and if you're going to be apart of his life, you have to care for him like he is your own. Can you do that? Can you promise me, my son's safety when he is in your care?"
Clarke nodded. "Yeah, I can. I love him and I love her. So much so that..." Clarke reached into her pocket and pulled out a small box. Wissam looked shocked. "I want to ask her to marry me and I want to know what you think about."
"Why would my opinion matter at this point?"
"Because you are Eissa's father and that would make me a permanent addition in his life." Clarke explained. "I'm going to ask her whether you agree with it or not... so I guess what I'm asking is are you okay with me being a co-parent in Eissa's life?"
Wissam nodded. She had gained his respect. He glanced at Eissa again, who laying against her chest. He was so content, like it was where was used to being. He held out his hand and Clarke took it. "You have my blessing and my forgiveness." Clarke smiled.
"I do have one more thing that I need to say." Clarke added. "Last night was my mistake and I felt like you took that out on J. The fact the you threatened with full custody of Eissa was completely unfair. She is a wonderful mother and you could learn a lot from her. You owe her an apology Wissam."
Wissam was quiet for a moment. Clarke thought she may have upset him, until he finally spoke. "You right. I was really upset and didn't think before I spoke. I will apologize to her."
Clarke smiled. "Thank you."
They enjoyed dinner. Clarke told Wissam all about the crazy night at Alicia's and how she was out of job now. He halfway joked about her working for him, but they both knew that probably wasn't the best idea. Wissam looked down at his phone.
"Damn it." He said.
"Everything thing okay?"
"I'm being called into an emergency meeting." He glanced at Eissa. "Do you think that he can ride home with you?"
"Of course, oh but I would need the car seat. There isn't one in Preston's car."
"You can the one in my car. I will just get it back tomorrow. Technically today was still Janet's time with him but my brother wanted to see him."
"Okay, that's cool. Preston is driving around now."
Clarke secured Eissa in his car seat. Wissam peeked his head in the car and gave Eissa a kiss on the forehead. He turned to face Clarke again.
"Can I give you a bit of advice if you don't mind?" He asked.
"Yeah sure."
"Ask her mother first. She says she doesn't care what they think, but she was disappointed that I didn't ask for her mother's permission first."
"I've never even met her mother. I mean she knows about me but I don't really know what she thinks of me."
"It doesn't matter. Just ask first." He said. Wissam held his hand out and Clarke shook it.
"Thanks man." Clarke smiled and got into the car.
