As soon as Sara walked into detention, Dallas looked up and said, "Hey, baby." Sara tried to back out of the room, but the teacher appeared behind her and raised an eyebrow at her. She smiled sheepishly and headed to the desk at the far end of the classroom, away from Dallas. He turned around and said, "Come on baby, don't be like that." The teacher raised her eyebrow and looked up from the book that she was reading, so Dallas stopped talking.

Time skip to 5 minutes before the end of detention

Sara felt a buzzing in her pocket. She looked at the teacher, but she was way too caught up in her story. Sara took out her phone very stealthily and looked at it. It was a text from Dallas. How the heck did he get her number!?

Dallas: Meet me outside after detention. I have a surprise for you. ;)

Sara felt sick, but she knew that she couldn't go to the doctor's office. She had to think of a way to get outside without Dallas seeing her. Then she had an idea. She took a screenshot and sent it to Mike. He replied back instantly.

Mike: That cad! There's a secret service exit right next to the girls' bathroom. Use that, and I'll wait for you at the end.

Sara smiled with relief. She replied back just as instantly.

Sara: Thank you so much Mike! You're my Savior! Btw, do you remember when I said that I had something to tell you at the end of school?

Mike: Yeah, why?

Sara: What I wanted to tell you is, I like you.

Mike: Like, love me like me, or just like me?

Sara: The love one

Mike: I love you too, Sara. One question though: How long have you liked me?

Sara: I'm not sure, I might've been in denial for a while.

Dallas: What are you guys talking about?

Dallas: Wait... Oh heck no!

Sara: What the heck! How did you get on here?

Dallas: I'm a highly trained hacker, what did you expect?

The teacher dismissed us at last. Sara knew that she had to get to Mike fast. So she ran like her life depended on it, which it kinda did in a metaphorical sense. She was almost out of the tunnel and could see Mike motioning for her to hurry, but at the last moment, Dallas grabbed Sara's backpack and tried to drag her back, but Sara was clever, and took off the backpack, causing Dallas to fall back, giving Sara time to escape. Mike and Sara ran all the way to Sara's house, and they didn't relax until the deadbolt was locked and all the curtains were closed.
