Summary: A little girl wakes up in a small room to the voice of her mother. It's a special day and, one to be filled with fireworks. If Rebecca can follow Mother's directions, she'll get a most special surprise.

Review : Once I started reading, I couldn't put it down because I wanted to find the twist. I couldn't help but grin when I figured it out.

One recommendation is that it's a quick read. There isn't always time to get deeply into a longer book. This was just great for the time I had available.

Part of the attraction of this tale is that while the story is futuristic, it can easily be seen through the lens of the world we currently occupy. I don't want to give away the plot, but themes of blind faith and unquestioning obedience play an important role. As I thought about it in current terms, it sent a small chill down my spine.

Good stories incorporate the fantastic in a way that reflects reality. This story does that, masking a grim story under an innocent veil.
