It was in the summer that I met her. That girl who piqued my interest. Curious, I followed her. Call me a stalker, but I couldn't just let this go. Interesting girl she was, with her brown flowing hair and grey-green eyes, she had an air of innocence surrounding her.

I followed her all the way to, I don't even know where she brought me. I was too busy keeping her in my sights, not allowing her to even for a second disappear from my sights.

Abruptly, she halted. I did too but when I looked around I didn't see anything I could duck behind. With a start, I realised that she had done this on purpose, There was no way that anyone lived anywhere near this place.

She turned to me, her cat-like eyes narrowed. "What do you want? Why the heck are you following me?" she asked. Her voice had a musical tilt to it, as though when she talked, it was like she was singing. She was breathing in deeply, trying to calm herself and her eyes held a hint of fear in them.

I blinked and stepped forward. It was like speaking to an agitated cat, trying to calm the animal.

"Hey," I start, waving at her a little awkwardly "I'm Hailey, I was just..." I trail off, unsure as to how I should continue.

Her lips quirk up at the corners, "Interested? Trying to find out more? Well, you're a curious one aren't you?" she said.

I bit my lip before both of us burst out laughing.

She approached me. Even though we both had broken the ice, her eyes were wary. No doubt she had seen girls like me before. And not liked them. What with my blonde hair and blue eyes I was top candidate for Miss Bitchy Popular.

"I'm not popular, or bitchy for that matter. If that's what you're thinking." I said.

She grinned, and it transformed her whole face. The way her eyes crinkled at the corners and her nose scrunched up had me breath taken. She just look beautiful. She stopped in front of me.

"I like your eyes." She said.

In reply I said "And I yours."

From that moment on, we were inseparable.
