Once upon a time, there was a teenage girl.

One day, she went shopping at the mall.

At the mall, she saw a sign outside a store that said "Buy one get one $1"

She excitedly ran inside and started looking for clothes. She quickly found a hat.

She looked around even more, but couldn't find anything else that interested her. Finally, she decided to go pay for her lone hat.

"I'd like to pay for this." The girl said. The man at the counter stared at her weirdly.

"You know you can get something else and only have to pay a dollar for it, right?" He asked.

"Yes, I know." She replied.

"Why don't you go look around some more?" He urged her.

"There's nothing else I want." She responded simply.

"But it's only a dollar!"

"Okay, what if I want to save a dollar?" The girl asked, growing frustrated.

"You're missing a big opportunity. The man started to yell.

"Okay." The teenager took a dollar out of her purse. "What if I don't want to spend this dollar?"

"It's just a dollar!"

"I hereby vow to never spend this dollar." She pulled a black sharpie out of her purse and began writing on it. "It is now under my protection." She held to dollar up to the man.

"You must spend the dollar!" The man yelled.

"I will not spend the dollar!" The girl yelled back, clutching the dollar even tighter.

"NOOOOOO!!!" The man yelled. "You Must Take Advantage Of The Discount Before People Learn To Save Money By Not Buying Things They Don't Necessarily Want!!!

"I WILL START A REVOLUTION!!!" The girl screamed.

And so she did.

And that's how this teenage girl learned that she can change the world just by taking a stand.
