Jesse was the first through the portal. The new world was red, dark, and had lava everywhere. Then Petra came through. She seemed to be surprisingly happy to be in the Nether. Then Olivia went through. She looked scared, and started heading back to the portal, but Lukas came through, and he stopped her. Lastly, Axel came through the portal. He didn't really care what was happening, he just wanted to get to the temple to get loot.
Lukas walked up to Jesse. "Are you sure you wanna do this? We can always go back." Jesse nodded.
"My arm isn't that bad, anymore. I think I can handle myself." She started walking forward, and looked over the edge. The sea of lava looked smaller, last time. Jesse got up.
"So, what do we do? The lava goes on for, like, forever." Axel said.
Jesse thought for a minute. "Let's build a barge! Olivia, got anything we can use?"
Olivia took out a few redstone blocks, and some wood stairs. "This is all I have, with me. It's not enough."
Jesse started thinking, again. "How about a bridge?"
"Um, OK." Petra said.
"Let's just hope it's not illegal." Axel joked.
The bridge was built with cobblestone, sandstone, wood, and dirt. It was two blocks above the next island, but it worked.
Jesse was last to step off the bridge. Lukas picked her up and put her on the ground. "Everyone OK?" She asked.
"Yeah, we're OK." Olivia said. Everyone else was quiet. They were staring at the temple in the distance.
"That's where we're heading." Jesse said. The group started for the large, stone building. It was in the wall, but part of it was on the outside. They were almost at the stone temple. Jesse started getting tired. She sat on a ledge.
"Jesse, you OK?" Lukas asked.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just need to catch my breath." Jesse said. Lukas sat down, with her. They stayed there for a minute, before Jesse stood up. The group was far ahead of them.
"C'mon, we gotta catch up." Jesse said. Lukas got up.
"Alright." They started walking.
"Jesse! Lukas! Where are you!" It was Petra.
"We're over here!" Lukas yelled.
The two caught up. "Jesse, you doing OK?" Petra asked.
"I'm fine, just a little tired." Jesse said. The group made their way to the temple. It got a lot bigger as they got closer. They walked. Jesse traced the designs on the walls with her fingers. "It's so beautiful..." She said.
"Yup..." Petra said. The group started walking down a hallway until it split in two paths.
"Jesse, can we talk, for a minute?" Lukas asked.
"Sure. Uh, let's split up." She told the rest of the group. Olivia, Petra and Axel went left, while Lukas and Jesse went right.
"Are you doing OK, Jesse?" Lukas asked.
"Yeah, why?"
"'Cus, when you cut your arm, you lost a lot of blood. And I'm worried that now it's starting to take effect, on you.
"But, that was last week."
"I know, but now you're turning pale, and you've been getting tired really easily."
Jesse started to get scared. "So, what's gonna happen to me?"
"I have no idea, but I can't say anything good."
Fear struck her body. "Lukas, could I be next?"
"What?"
"Could I be the next, to- die?"
Lukas stepped in front of her, and put his hands on her shoulders. "Jesse. Never think that. You're strong. You will get through this." He hugged her. "I promise..."
