Restoring Shattered Memories...
Jesse woke up. The sun wasn't up yet. She could see it starting to rise, but it was still dark. Jesse got up from her bed. It was really hot in her room, for some reason. She walked out of the door.
Lukas wasn't in his bed. He said he would see her in the morning, and the sun was up, now. It's been a while since I've seen Rueben. Jesse thought. She walked out of the building. But outside, she wasn't alone. Lukas was sitting by another grave. He was saying things, that she couldn't hear. Jesse walked up to him.
"Oh, Jesse." Lukas said, wiping tears from his cheeks. She sat down with him.
"How've you been, holding up?" Jesse asked.
"It's been really hard. I still can't believe she's actually..." Lukas stopped. Jesse pulled him to an embrace.
"It'll be OK." Jesse said. But she knew things could only go downhill from there. Lukas started crying, quietly.
Jesse cried with him. "I promise.

The two made their way back to the building. Petra was standing, in her normal position on the wall. Arms crossed, and one leg propped up.
"Hey Petra." Jesse said. Petra looked up.
"Oh, hey guys." Petra wiped her eyes.
"Did I wake you?" Jesse asked.
"Yeah, but it's alright, I was gonna get up, anyway." Petra got off the wall, and stretched. "So, what's up?" Jesse didn't really need her for anything.
"Nothing much. Did Ivor tell you about anymore temples?" Jesse asked.
"I mean, you could go ask him, but I don't know if he'll say yes." Petra said.
"Alright, thanks." Jesse and Lukas walked downstairs to Ivor's room. He was making a potion.
"Hey, Ivor." Jesse said. He turned around.
"Ah, Jesse. I'm almost done with my potion of regeneration. For your wound." The smoke behind him fizzled out. "Ah! It's finished!" Ivor took the potion off the brewing stand and handed it to Lukas. "Put this on her arm, before she goes to sleep, tonight."
"Aw, Ivor, you didn't need to." Lukas said.
"Take it as a 'thank you.'" Ivor smiled. He- smiled? Jesse thought. Does he, care about me? Jesse smiled, back.
"Thanks, Ivor." Jesse looked at Lukas.
"Not a problem. You deserve it for going to all those temples, for me." There was a pause. "I was wondering if you could do me, just one more favor?"
"Sure, Ivor." Jesse said, holding Lukas's hand.
"I need more glass, can you go get some sand, for me?" Ivor asked.
"Sure!" Jesse and Lukas made their way outside, and gathered as much sand as they needed.
"I think that's everything." Lukas said. He sat down with her. He pulled Jesse in, closer, by the waist. Jesse leaned on him.
Lukas sighed. He loved her. He was the first girl he's ever gotten this close to. It made him feel weird, but he liked it. It felt good to have someone love him back. Jesse's hears was pounding, she was sweating, and was so nervous. But she loved it. She loved that feeling, it made her feel- normal...
