"I love you." The words stormed in Jesse's mind. She crushed on him. But they only became friends almost more than two months ago. how could he just jump straight to 'I love you?'
"Jesse?" Someone's voice called into her room. She knew that voice anywhere, it was him. Lukas. "Are you OK?" He asked.
"I'm fine..." Jesse called back. She rubbed her eyes, and forgot she fell asleep on her chair. Her back was stiff, and her head was still spinning from all of the thoughts in her mind.
She stretched her body so she was comfortable, and eventually went down all 25 stairs, she counted every time she got home from an adventure, and saw Lukas and the the New Order talking.
"There she is." Axel announced.
"Hey, Jesse." Olivia said. Petra just smiled, and Lukas put his arm around Jesse's shoulder. She tried to hide a blush from her cheeks, but it didn't work. Her cheeks turned a light pink. Olivia noticed, and gave a face of jealousy. She liked Lukas, too, but she only liked him because of his looks. They never had the time to get to know each other.
"You just missed Ivor, Jesse." Petra said.
"Yeah, he told us about this cool temple, in the desert." Axel added.
" OK, great, tell me on the way, after I eat." Jesse said, leaving Lukas's arm back at his side. He started walking close behind Jesse. She prayed that nothing embarrassing would happen.
"Jesse? Can I talk to you?" Lukas asked. He started walking faster, to catch up.
"Sure, Lukas. What's up?"
"You've been acting differently since a few days ago. Something's wrong."
Oh, God, now what? Jesse thought to herself. She took a deep breath. "Um... How do I say this?" She brushed her fingers through her short black hair. "I-" Jesse paused. "I love you, too..."
