After a long day of training the four gems grew tired. They went home and went to bed.

The next day Spinels gem shard was glowing violently again on her nightstand. The irritated gem threw off her covers and let out a sigh as she picked up the shard. She tapped on it making the virtual screen pop up revealing her trainer. "Hello Spinel, Nice to see your up early." Spinel rolled her eyes and ran her fingers through her curly hair. "I'm up now, what's up?"

"Blue Diamond has assigned you Ruby, T, and Topaz to a mission in sector E-19. She needs you to find out if that planet is rich enough to grow other warriors there. Meet me by the home world warp in exactly 20 minutes." The virtual screen retreated back into the gem shard.

The red gem stood up on her feet letting her gem glow brightly, the light consumed her body leaving her in her training outfit. Spinel stretched once before walked toward her door. Her gem glowing which made the small dot on her door glow an open up.

The red gem stepped out her room letting her door close behind her. She began her journey toward the homworld warp where her friends and trainer stood. As she approached them she could see a long hair blue gem talking to Ruby. It must have been her girlfriend Sapphire. Sapphire was a qualified trainee for planet discovery and gem growth.

Spinel sat down next to the warp pad. She thought to herself about the mission that Blue Diamond assigned to them. Her train of thought got cut short by her trainers loud voice. She stood to her feet.

"Hello and Good morning everyone. Today is the day you five have been waiting for. Your very first mission that had been assigned to you by Blue Diamond herself. I will not be joining you on this mission, instead I will be guiding you. I expect great things from you five. I will see you in exactly one week and I will be checking on your progress, this will be a grade."

Everyone except Cirtine stepped on the warp pad. Spinel crossed her arms as the warp pad consumed the five trainees. The beam of light lead them to the distant plant. Ruby and Spinel stepped off the warp. Ruby placed on knee to the ground and placed her hand on it , she stroked the ground and knocked on it. She turned toward the other three gems that were still standing on the warp pad. "Ok, its safe. The ground isn't hallow." The other three gems stepped off the warp pad and onto the pavement. They began their journey into the forest. Spinel and Ruby in the front T and Sapphire in the middle and Topaz in the back.

Ruby wacked at the unusually giant leaves making them fall toward the ground. They soon found a suitable area to set up camp. Topaz's began to hum a song placing her hands in front of her , a little bright light came from her hands. Four yellow orbs floated over her hand, she swang her hand lightly across the ground placing her four orbs in sperate places. The orbs soon turned into medium sized doams.

The gems walked inside of the cemter doam. "Ok so this bubble here is the work space for Sapphire and T to take down information from this planet. The other three bubbles are for us to sleep in. These are protective bubbles, you can set up your tents now." Topaz stated.

The five gems began to set up a their separate tents. Everyone was partnered up except Spinel. She wanted to sleep by herself considering he best friends girlfriend was here and she already knew her Ruby was going to want to share a tent with her.

Spinel began to set up her tent, as she finished she could feel eyes burning onto her from behind her. She turned around and seen T staring at her. Spinel had a smug look on her face as she waved to the day dreaming purple gem.

T shook her head making herself snap out of her day dream. Her cheeks began to turn a really dark red color. Spinel walked over toward the shy gem and sat next to her. Before she could speak Topaz came out of her tent. "Alright everyone let's get moving."

T stood up and walked away from Spinel. Spinel followed behind the rest of the crew. They soon came to a cave. There were shards of different gems laying all around. The shards made the cave sparkle, everything looked nice but something wasn't right. The feeling Spinel felt was everything but good. Spinel grew very quiet as she scanned the cave. She picked up the gem shard that was lying on top of a rock. She examined it closely , these were not regular shattered gem pieces there were teeth marks on them. Almost like something was trying to eat these gems remains.

Just then a loud Roar came from the dark end of the cave. As the five gems looked down at the dark end of the cave they could see dark red eyes that was near the ceiling. The monster stepped out into the light letting out another loud roar, the five gems stood there for a second before running. The giant monster chased them out of the cave and through the forest.

Soon the gems were in a wide open space. They stopped running and turned toward the giant beat fiercely summoning their weapons. Spinel ran toward the beast and leap highly off the ground and punching it in the face. The rest of the gems followed through, Topaz tried attacking but the beasts Razer sharp claws slammed down on her, she tried wiggling free but it was helpless. She cried out in pain as the beast claws dug into her body. T ran under the beast and stuck her sword in the beast stomach, it didn't seem to faze the monsterous creature as it kept swinging its two arms at Ruby and Spinel.

Sapphire tried pulling the beasts Razer claws off of Topaz, as she pulled up Topaz let out a painful yell before proofing into her gem. Everyone stopped as they heard the terrible scream. The beast hit Spinel making her fly to the ground, she left a giant crack in it .

T was still struggling to stick her sword in the beasts stomach. Spinel got up off the ground and observed what was happening with her friends. She looked at T then up at the beast. She turned up her lip and climb out the crater. She leaped highly into the air and as she was falling back to the ground she put on foot out. She hit the beast on to T's sword. The creature cried loudly before poofing into its gem.

Spinel hit the ground face first ,she lifted her head up and groaned. Sapphire picked up Topaz's gem and put it in her pocket. Ruby landed on back, and T was laying on her back. Spinel stood up and walked over toward T with her hand out, T looked up at the red gem and took her hand. Spinel looked at T with a smile as she returned the gesture.

They soon got lost in each others gaze, when they realized it they both began blushing. Spinel turned her head quickly , letting go of the purple gems hand. She cleared her throat nervously,"Is everyone ok?".

Ruby groaned as Sapphire helped her stand up. Spinel looked down at the gem on the ground. She picked it up and examined it.

"What are you doing Spinel, Crush it." Ruby shouted. Spinel looked at Ruby then back at the shiny object in her hand. She quickly dropped it back on the ground and place her foot on it. She hesitated for a second before slowly crushing it with her boot.

The gems finally made their way back to their camp site. Sapphire walked into the work space and began sending data of the planet back to the homeworld head quarters. After finishing her work Sapphire walked back into her and Ruby's tent. She pulled out the yellow gem inside her pocket and sat it on her pillow. Ruby peeked in at girlfriend "Sapphire, how yah holding up?" Sapphire turned to face Ruby, walked toward her and sat down next to her. "I mean I know Topaz will be fine but shes my best friend, who knows how long she's going to take with her regeneration." Sapphire said while looking back at Topaz's gem. Ruby looked at the ground then back up at her partner placing a hand on her should. "She'll be back before you know it Sapphire, Let's just focus on the mission for now."

Ruby stood holding out her hand, sapphire took her hand and stood up giving her a hug.

Spinel was sitting in her tent laying down. All she could like of is how beautiful the purple gem was. Everything about her stood out, her eyes, her voice , her hair, just everything. Spinel wasn't really the type of gem to catch feelings for someone but for some reason she felt different about T.

Her thoughts got interrupted by a loud thud. Spinel quickly jumped to her feet, running out if her tent. She saw Ruby and Sapphire peek out of their tent and all three of them quickly made eye contact with each other.

T came flying out of the bush and hit a tree. As she stood up a monsterous creature charged at her, T put her sword up blocking the creatures Razer sharp teeth as it pinned her against the trunk of the tree she was knocked into.

Spinel quickly summoned her boxing gloves and jumpes in front of the spikey blue crystaled creature, and punched it in the face making it fly back but not far enough into the bushes.

The creature leaps back out lunging at Spinel instead of T. Spinel prepared herself for the raging creatures attack. As soon as the creature was in striking distance T stepped in front of Spinel quickly drawing her sword and stabbing the creature in the neck. The creature let out a loud and painful cry. Spinel looked at the short purple gem struggle to stab the creature. Spinel leaped into the creature's neck making the sword go all the way though its neck then proofing. Spinel hit the ground on her feet also letting her gloves disappear. She approached the the diamond shaped gem and picked it up bubbling it then turning toward T.

"You ok?" Spinel said walking toward her and helping her up. T nodded staring into Spinel's red blazing eyes. "Y-Yes I'm o-ok" She said standing to her feet. Ruby and Sapphire soon came running out with their weapons summoned. Spinel and T looked at Ruby and Sapphire. "Ohh I see what's going in here." Ruby said slyly.

Spinel shook her head and began walking back to the campsite followed by the rest. Spinel went back into her tent and lyed down.

"So you like her don't you?" Ruby said peeking her head slightly in the tent. Spinel continued to gaze up at the roof if the tent. "What makes you say that?"

"I seen the way you look at her Spine. I'm not slow. I know you like her Spinel."Ruby said waking over toward her and sitting down.

"Ruby. You know how I feel about relationships." Spinel said sitting up and glaring at her friend. "Maybe you could change it Spinel. Everyone is build for someone. Maybe you found her."Ruby said calmly.

Spinel shot up quickly and narrowed her eyebrows "No I didn't Ruby. I don't and will not EVER get in a fucking relationship. I tried love , its just not for me." She said putting her arms behind her head and laying back down with her eyes closed.

"Look Spinel just because so bitch broke your heart before doesn't mean you can't find somebody else to love. You need to let it go and move on." Ruby said narrowing her eyebrows.

"Look, Ruby damn it. I told you I'm not fucking interested in dating , why can't you understand that. Look just get out. I'm tired of explaining myself."

"Watch what the hell you say Spinel." Ruby said getting up and walking out. Spinel huffed.

Meanwhile with Sapphire and T. Sapphire sat down and crossed her legs letting out a sigh. T walked inside the tent blushing slightly. "Hey Sapphire can I talk to you for a sec."

"Uh. Sure, what's up?" Sapphire said putting her knees to her chest. T walked in a sat down in front of Sapphire playing with her fingers. "Do you think Spinel likes me?"

"Do you like her?"

"Well. I ....I just think she's cute" T said biting her bottom lip.

"Well tomorrow you should try talking to her . Try taking it slowly. Get to know her. Then maybe who can end up in a relationship. If you do it right , I know you will be together forever. Trust me."

T blushed a bit more and gave her friend a friendly hug. Just then Ruby walked in leaving burnt foot prints behind her. "Ruby , what's wrong?" Sapphire said. Ruby snarled "Spinel is So fucking stubborn. I was trying to be a good friend and give her advice but she just blew me away and got smart with me. All I did was try to help her ass out." Ruby said pacing back and forth. Sapphire turned back toward T. "I think I'll just call it a night. Goodnight Sapphire, Goodnight Ruby." She said rushing out the tent and heading toward hers. She stopped for a second and seen Spinel running into the bushes and disappearing into the darkness. "Hmm. Where is she going?" T thought squinting her eyes. She soon started to follow the red gem into the forest.
