Fluff's POV

The moon was almost at its full height by the time we reached the meeting area. I wore my best sweater that was more like a vest. The shadow creatures had brought the soldiers that had stolen the egg. It was BlazingSun, Shadowedmoon, and Scarredheart.

Redfield had been quiet the whole way here. I didn't ask him what was up because I already had a pretty good idea. After the three criminals were sat on their knees, BlazingSun spoke up.

"You three have no remorse for what you have done today. You," she pointed to the female soldier. "Almost drowned a pup. You, "she pointed to the male soldier. "According to Shadowedmoon, you threw the pup. Causing her to have injuries that could have been fatale."

"And finally, you." She pointed to Wave. "You succeed in stealing my egg. My last child that was going to become alpha one day." She finished with a terrifying glare.

"For your crimes today you will pay a price. Step forward!" She roared.

The three got up and stepped closer to her. We all waited with anticipation. Finally, BlazingSun and Shadowedmoon opened their jaws. A blast of light shot out at the soldiers.

The soldiers screamed as their bodies were lit aflame. I almost threw up at the sight and smell so I looked at my feet. After what seemed like eternity, the screaming stopped.

I looked up and instead of seeing three charred bodies, I saw a chain with three links.

"This chain will forever hold these three together in the after life. Stuck together but alone and cold. They will not bother anyone else now." Scarredheart spoke for the first time since we've been here.

"We could've done much worse. We could of gave them no after life at all. But, this punishment, will give them alot of time to reflect. And once they've realized their crimes, they will still be forever trapped." BlazingSun spoke.

Redfield and I bowed our heads. Scarredheart and Shadowedmoon flew to the sky but BlazingSun stayed behind.

"Redfield. Don't ever let this happen again. As I said, we can do much worse. And not only to the ones who committed the crime." She growled before she also took to the sky with the rest of the shadow creatures.

After hanging the chain in a tree, Redfield and I started home. It was silent for a while until I finally spoke.

"So, you really agree with what those three did?" I asked him.

He sighed. "I don't know. I know that they were just stupid goons so they made stupid choices. But I thought that they had just a little bit more intelligence than that! And BlazingSun is right. They could do much worse. To all of us." He spoke softly.

"I've grown soft as I've grown old. Fluff, when you're the leader of our army, be a better leader than I am. Make sure that nothing like this ever happens again. The shadow creatures were very kind this time. Next time they won't hesitate to burn all of us to the ground. Make sure they never have that opportunity." Redfield told me in a serious tone.

I only nodded in response. I didn't like to think about what it would be like when I'm the leader without Redfield by my side. But that also raised another question.

"Hey Redfield. I've never seen a hut for the elders. Or retired leaders. So where do they go?" I asked him.

"They go to a secluded place. It's hidden away from the rest of the world and is a very peaceful place. I'll show you before I retire." He explained.

I nodded again as the camp started to come into view.

'Keeping control will be easy. But I have to learn more about those shadow creatures.'
