No one's POV

Scarredheart and Moon had gone done to the river to continue their training session.

"Since you're still uncomfortable with flying we're going to be working on that. Flying is a very important thing for shadow creatures. We use our feathers to make nests. We also groom each other's wings for comfort and to bond." Shadowedmoon began to explain.

"And we use them to escape a sticky situation or to fight. And they can show how we're feeling. You've already told me this." Scarredheart finished.

"I know. I was just refreshing your memory. And I've been babying you lately. So today," Shadowedmoon took to the sky. "You have to do the work for yourself." After finishing her statement she flew out of Scarredheart's sight.

Scarredheart immediately took to the sky after her. He could only make out a flick off her tail or her wing every now and than. A part of him was panicking​ from being right above the rushing river and not having Moon in his sight. He kept his cool though so he didn't fall.

He steaded himself on his wings and sped up. He saw a flock of birds, which he knew was something Moon had thrown in to throw him off. He weaved through the birds. After he passed the birds he saw Shadowedmoon start to come into his view. He used the last of his strength to finally catch up to her.

"What took you so long?" Moon joked.

"Whatever. Can we take a break. I feel like my wings are about to fall off." Scarredheart asked.

Shadowedmoon purred in agreement and they began to head back to the ground.

-20 Minutes later-

Scarredheart's POV

We landed on the river bank and sat down in the shade. The sun had finally risen and the day was heating up. Usually I wouldn't be too hot right now but because of my fur I was burning.

"What do you have planned next?" I asked Moon.

"Combat. In the air, on the ground, in the trees, and out in the open. Lastly will be hunting. After that we are just going to supervise the army and make sure everything is in order." Moon answered.

I laid against a tree with low hanging branches. I heard the birds chirping and didn't think much of it. Until the sound of barking and growling replaced the chirps. Moon noticed too and we both stood up and looked around.

The barks and growls were alarms. There's an intruder in the territory. As if on que two humans with blue and grey cloaks came rushing out of the forest. Each of them were carrying a bundle of clothes. I didn't know what they were until the scent hit me.

"Moon, they have pups!" I yelled and cornered one. Moon cornered the other one.

The humans pulled out swords from behind their backs. I hissed at the one I cornered and swung my claws at her. She swung the sword she was carrying and blocked my hit. Moon was having the same trouble with her human.

I lunged at her but missed on purpose. Since she was still holding a pup, she had the upper hand. She seemed to notice this and took the pup out of the bundle of clothes. With her sword facing me she stepped towards the river. I put all of my focus on the pup.

The human dangled the crying pup over the rushing river. I gave a warning growl but the human just held the pup out further across the river. I jumped to the left to distract her but suddenly jumped at the human.

She dropped the pup and I lunged for her. I fell into the river but luckily had kept the pup from falling in. I saw Moon had gotten the other pup away from the other human. I used one of my front paws to make sure the pup I had was latched onto my chest. I used my other three to grab onto the ground.

The human I was fighting had fled to a boat that was hidden in the bushes. She called to the male human and he rolled from under Moon when she raised up to crush him. The humans quickly pushed their boat into the water and got in the boat.

Moon pulled the pup and me onto the river bank. The pup she had saved was resting on her back.

"Do you think they were flowers?" I asked Moon.

"Probably. But why would the flowers kidnap pups?" She questioned.

I didn't respond. We both took the pups and headed back to camp.

Maybe I could convince Moon to take me on a trip to the flowers' territory tommorow.
