Alexander laid in his chambers. Not having heard from Douglas when he said he would come was strange. He looked towards his orb again. There was no light coming from it. No Douglas. His heart felt slightly heavy.

"Alexander." He looked up and saw Terrence sitting in the window. His tail swaying softly, pity and sorrow in his eyes. "You know he doesn't want to come back. You know this means you're going to be crowned king."

"Terrence YOU may not want him to come back but I actually enjoy my brothers company. Even if not for the kingdom he is still my brother."

"Alexander why must you and Douglas always treat me so poorly?"

"Because Douglas trusts you and believes in you but I," He screamed the word I that sounded like the force of a thousand rocks slamming against a wall at once. "I brother know you in ways that he does not. I know you wish him dead, I know you wish him sorrow. Well I wish you to leave my space at once."

Terrence's eyes got dark and angry and he swam out.

Alexander returned to his bed and put his hands through his hair, sighing, remembering all the things that was said that night.

"Brother." The orb lit up. Alexander could see the whole sky behind Douglas's head. "Brother I fear I had a premonition. I went down to see you and father and Terrence. They tried to trap me."

Alexander's eyes widened. We can place him in a guarded room where he won't be allowed out. He heard in his head. "Trap? How trap? Father? Why?"

"They became angry because I did not want to return. I wanted to stay on the surface. Then in my premonition father stole my legs. Brother I can't return. Mary Ann can not know this about me."

Alexander felt his heart crack. "She doesn't know who you are."

Douglas shook his head. "Of course she doesn't. Why would I tell her."

Alexander felt anger. "Because that's why you left! You left to tell people we're here! To make sure we didn't have to fucking hide!" Alexander was screaming. He was angry.  He knocked the orb off of the stand and swam out.

Alexander was doing his normal nightly swim. It brought him peace, swimming around all alone in the castle at night. It was a moment where he could search is mind, his world, without having to worry about the interruptions of others. During this time he usually carried a book around with him. Somewhere he could put his thoughts.

"I don't care what you say! He is not a prince and he is NOT a king." Terrence screamed from down a hallway. Alexander stopped moving and listened to his brother speaking. "He is no king and if you do not obey my orders then when I am crowned I shall have your head."

Alexander felt fear run down his spine. He'd never heard his brother speak like that. He heard a man softly say, "Alright sire. What do you plan to do to him?"

"We can place him in a guarded room where he won't be allowed out. He can starve and cripple away until the end of his days."

Alexander felt he was going to be sick and he quickly swam away.

"Sire I don't understand why you would want to do that to your brother. What has Alexander done to encourage this behavior? He treats the people well and with respect."

Terrence just sighed. "Oh how I wish I could tell you but sadly I fear nobody would believe me. Unfortunately this is something that can only be discovered once too late. So please sir I wish only well for our people. Will you help make sure the monster not be released and help me trap Alexander?"

Hey guys! I'm so sorry about the short chapters but I've discovered that I in fact do not like writing at work so for now I will update twice a week for sure and if you want more updates please vote and comment. I was having severe writers block when I was doing it at work and I feel like now it's starting to come out a lot better.
