Chapter 1

After 21 years passed by since the curse of the Witch happened, the beast still not improved as the servants were still in hope that the curse would eventually be broken and they would become human once again.

The teapot, Mrs. Potts was in the kitchen doing her duties, as her youngest child, came up to her, "Mama, are you sure that someday we'll be human again?"

The teapot chuckled at the young teacup, as that knowing that he was indeed young when the curse happened, and having to adjust to the new lifestyle isn't going to be an easy task for anyone in the castle.

"Don't lose any hope, my dear child. It may be time for the young master will change for the better. Just have compete hope and faith."

The teacup sigh as that he knew that his mother was right, as he hoped towards a widow, gazing at the view of the outside world, the Kingdom of Thorns, where the village seems to be bussing with joy and just enjoying their lives.

In the outskirts of the kingdom, a girl was getting ready for her volunteer work in the village. She tied up her dark orange hair into a ponytail, as she gazes into her refection into a mirror. "Well, Sophie, today is going to be a busy day."

She slide down the stairway, as her father notices her, "Morning, Sophie. You really are early as usual."

Sophie said, "Of course I would! Why wouldn't i be? Besides, the village seems to be busy with the fall festival, and i want to help out as much i can."

She went out of the door, as she was carrying a small basket by her side, "What a beautiful day it is!"

"A little town, a little place i call home, it's a place i love. The people always full of wonder as the wake up to say,

"Morning!"

The girl smiled, "As always, the children running up towards the streets and playing, as the morning was always full of laughter and smiles, there is no way I would leave this town."

"Morning, miss Blake. You're quite ready to help out in the fall festival aren't you?" The Baker of the town asked, as he gave out a fresh bread out of the oven to her as her breakfast.

"Well, I want to help out. It's the least i could to. Besides, I feel quite at ease here." She replied to him as the baker sigh.

"Well, if you say so."

"Well, if it is Sophie Blake, the gentle kind girl who always there when you need help."

"I kind of worry for her. She needs a someone."

Sophie went towards a library where the bookkeeper notices her arrival, "Awe, Miss Blake, thank goodness you're here!"

He almost fell onto a stack of books, as that Sophie quickly ran over as she said, "Are you ok, sir? That seems a lot of books. Let me help you organize. "

As they were reorganize the books into their selves, the girl notices a book that she is very keen on.

The bookkeeper said, "If you want, you can have it. That book been on that shelf for years. Not every kid would want it. "

"Are you sure if i take it? Would it be so reckless?" She said in disbelief that he would give away a priceless book.

"I want to give it to you eventually, but i never intend to mostly because I was tending to my shop and you were always in volunteer activities."

She gracefully picks the book up and said, "Thank you. I promise to take care of it." They finished the organizing as Sophie waves back at the bookkeeper .

"Sophie Blake is a special girl, always care for others. Even though, she may not be much, but we want her happiness.

There would be someone out there for Sophie."

"Awe, this is amazing! This book is considered my favorite, because here is where the prince approaches her, but unable to know how to talk to her because he's nervous."

At that moment, a gunshot was heard, as it was appeared in front of Sophie. To her dismay, it was Thora Gaston.

Thora was the townspeople's hunts woman, and her father was the one who trained her to be like him.

"Morning, Thora. I see that you're making quite a number on yourself as always." Sophie said to her, as that she picks up the animal she just shot, "Yeah, still being a proper hunts woman, just like my own man.

Luckily that I have my life set in place. What about you, you really think being a lonely volunteer like you have anything special in your life?"

She knew that Thora was never a kind person, always wanted the whole village to adore the Gaston Household.

"Thora, you know much as I do, our village is very happy of what we do in life. Besides, you and your father are adored so much for our village."

Thora rolls her eyes as she takes Sophie's newly owned book, as she said, flipping the pages, "Honestly, what a waste. Sophie, you are too generous for my take. Books are not a lady would do. You should take another hobby."

The boys sigh as they were fanboying over the hunts woman. Sophie just sighs, "Thora, give it back to me. Books can be very knowledgeable, and just because of our families have different values, don't mean that we can work things out. Have a good day, Gaston."

As she leaves, Gaston whistles, "What a beauty. Headstrong and I know that she has potential. She is what we need to get our family's status in line."

"Sophie is a kind girl... But we want her to be happy!"

The kids on the streets ran past Sophie, as that she notices a blood on a kid's arm. It looked like a wolf mark.

She wanted to talk to the kid, but not sure if what she saw was a illusion or not. She pushes the front door, as her father was packing for a trip.

"Dad, where you going?" Sophie asked . The father replied, "Ah, just getting some more firewood for the festival, my dear. The town who has the firewood is over the woods. Phillip would help me out."

She was scared for her father's well-being, knowing how frail he was, and he was the only person she has ever known.

"Dad, are you sure you have the strength to go? I don't want to lose you." She said, as her father chuckled as he places his hand on her cheek, and reassures her, "Sophie Blake, you are so much like your mother.

You know what to do when the time comes. I'll be fine and be very careful through the woods."

He gathered his supplies he needed, as Sophie waves goodbye, "Good luck, Dad. I'll watch the house while you're away. Phillip, watch over him for me, ok?"

The horse nods and they went off on their way.
