Helen stopped at her door. She gulped impatient to speak but too breathless to proceed.
"Agnes!"
Agnes rushed out to meet her. Without explanation she dragged her from her home.
"They said your husband and Samalea were seen in a tent together." Helen finally told her.
And there he was standing in the tinted tent with a naked dark haired beauty their view was eventually blocked by a servant who let down the tent door.

Agnes swallowed her hurt.
There had to be an explanation.

"Oh. I see."

Helen gawked at her.
"Oh? You see? Agnes! Your husband is with another woman. Let's burst in there and curse at him."

"No." She spun on her heels and fought tears down the hill.

Helen caught up with her blocking her path.
"Are you serious? He's with another woman."

More women surrounded them.
"We all knew he couldn't be satisfied with you. You saw it with your own eyes."
The dark haired woman soon joined them.
Agnes regarded her as she laughed.
"Lord Adris is too phenomenal a lover to remain shackled a scarred freak. He's resting in my tent."

She smiled at Samalea.
"Lady, the stars are still out. There's no sign of the sun. My husband did not fuck you. You're out too quickly for anything to have happened. I'm sure he rejected your shameless advances. That's why you're here with your words."

Agnes took Helen's hand.
"These women sent you to fester mistrust between me and my husband. Their desperation forces them to debase themselves to such pathetic antics. Adris would never hurt me nor I him. Remember that before you women pull this stunt again. Let's go Helen."

Helen returned to her husband and Agnes sat on her porch watching the stars hoping she'd been true in the defense of her lover. She looked inward and found no jealousy or hatred towards her husband. That was her love. But if it were true she would leave.

Then she heard his voice.
Her happiness destroyed the scenes from her mind.
He couldn't stay long but that night with him was all the reassurance she wanted. She didn't ask him about Samalea she'd trust him whole heartedly.
His love rivaled her in desperation.
They barely made it into the house before her tore away her panties and rammed inside her.
Feet anchored on his lower back, Agnes clung to him moaning in his mouth and swallowing his pleasures cries in return.
She clawed at his back as he set her on the table and spread her like a piece of bread.
Their mouth fused together once more. Scared that breaking the kiss for more than a second would mean the end of their coupling. As though after tonight they'd forget the others kiss.
He pulled her dress yo her hips and caressed her dark nipples with such loving hands.
"You're mine." He said between breaths their tongues swiveling in the ancient dance.
He'd been gone long enough that she'd missed having him stretch her out with his dick. Her inner muscles clenched around him and he broke from their kiss.
His face strained from the ecstasy her discovery brought him.
"Witch." He returned her smile.
His finger rubbed her clit as revenge. It's now thinking of ways to undo the other.
Agnes arched her back touching her breasts and fondling them as he would. And he watched with rapt attention, the rhythm he'd built falling off beat once or twice.
"Fuck, Agnes."
His thrust pushed her over the table so he change their location setting her on the sturdier bedside table. He trapped her hands above her head and drove into her with invigoration.

"You make me fucking insane."

"You do the same to me." She gasped in short breaths.
Oh gods she had underestimated how much she needed him. She didn't think she'd be able to let him go even after she screamed his name in the violent wake of her coming.
"Come back to me." She said to him when he left before the dawn broke.

Tomorrow would be their one year anniversary and in his letter Adris had promised to be there to celebrate with her.
Agnes had spared no expenses preparing her home and food for the celebration.
It was all completed.
The last remaining item she needed was her dress from her tailor.
The glow from the setting sun turned Agnes' world a rosy romantic and everything she saw was more beautiful in the orange and pink rays.

"You're just in time, Agnes." The tailor welcomed her with her parcel and her wine skin set on top.
"Happy anniversary, like I said your husband is a very lucky man. You'll look amazing in the dress." He said with his handsome smile.

"Thank you so much." Her face heated at the compliment.

"Are you sure I can't steal you away from him?" He teased.

"A rather tempting offer Georgios. But my heart belongs only to my husband." She bade him farewell.

At home she changed into her white and gold outfit a different style from the one she'd worn on her day as the bride.
The crown of flowers say on her head adding the nymph touch she was going for.
With a cup of wine she sat and waited.
The wine, a gift from the seller, was truly sweet as he'd marketed to her. Sweet and potent.
The room spun about her, her stomach turning within her.
She looked into her cup that was half full confused at how she was drunk.
Unless she'd miscounted with an her absent mind.

The door opened and she staggered to her feet.
But it wasn't Adris.
The stranger's face doubled and swirled. She couldn't recognize them even as they drew nearer.

"Who are you?" She said but her words slurred in a mumbled string of incoherence.
The man carried her to the bed and tore away her clothes she'd paid a shiny coin for.

"I'm hurt that you don't recognize me." The voice came in distorts.
The night air puckered her bare flesh as the dress was discarded away from her.
She laughed when she wanted to cry and her body burned with desire when she wanted to scream.
His fingers marked her body with his cumbersome groping.
Moisture slid into her ears and her heart ripped, the agony resounding like the echoes of bells in a hollow cave.
But she laughed.
He wasn't Adris.
