Why me ooh Lord , why do I have to go through So much suffering from my stepmom, just came back from the farm and she is accusing me of stealing meat from her soup..

Only if my mother was alive I wouldn't be going through all this suffering in my life.

Was just in my own thoughts when my dad tapped my shoulder..

My dear am so sorry you are going through all this okay.. just be a little patience everything would be alright.

"I nodded my head and he gave me a hug, Dad why does she hate me So much" I asked in between sobbing.

My daughter it's alright everything has an end okay, he said while still hugging me.

Wipe your tears and go to sleep, cry no more my daughter,

Okay Daddy, I wiped my tears then went inside my room to sleep, as I was about entering I overheard Chisom and Anne talking.

"Look Chisom what you did to sister Adama is not fair at all "said Anne

You are very stupid did you want me to be beaten by mama "Chisom muttered.

As i entered the room, they got startled and pretended they were sleeping.
I didn't utter a word to them, I just went straight to bed.

"Adama why is your stepmother always treating you badly "said my friend Anisa

Anisa I don't know, sometimes I just wish my mom was still alive for me to get the motherly love I deserve.

"As for me, my stepmom treats me so nicely, sometimes I just feel she is my real mother "Anisa muttered.

My friend you are lucky to have such a stepmom, such stepmom's are rare to find.

"Yess oo my friend "said Anisa

"I was actually sent on an errand " Anisa muttered.

Okay then see you later after I'm done with my farm work.

"Okay" I said to her.

We bid each other good bye.

After the farm work I went home to take my shower then eat and go visit my boyfriend Peter.

I went to the room and Chisom was in the room,
Chisom why did you lie to mama that I stole meat from her soup which you know that I didn't.?

"You deserve the beatings " Chisom said

"Look Chisom you better start respecting me because I'm your elder sister" I said.

Then left to take my shower.

After bathing and finished eating my food and was about to rest a little,
Anisa came to my place to inform me that our WASSCE results were out !!

" You're joking right" asked as I was puzzled.

" Adama, I'm being serious here" Anisa screamed in excitement.

"Really" I exclaimed as I wasn't really sure if it was true.

let's go and I will check mine.

Okay "I said as my lips curved into a wide smile.

We went and checked her results and it was very good.

We were very happy that she made it.

"University calling us I screamed" which made us both chuckled.

I guess I would tell my dad about it this evening so that Tommorrow we will go and I will check mine too.

Okay,(we laughed and hugged each other ).

My dad closed from his shop then came back home, my stepmom was with him when I interrupted their conversation.

"Good evening dad" I greeted.

"Evening my dear, how are you doing today" ?he asked.

I smiled and said I was fine

Dad, please our results are out and my friend Anisa checked this afternoon.

"So how was her results?, he asked
Dad it was very good "I said

"Wow that's very Good" he said as he continued
So how much will you be needing to check yours? He asked.

Dad it's 20cedis.

"Okay then come to my shop tomorrow for the money okay "he said

Ok Dad, thank you I said smiling broadly.

"And what about me, I just told you now that I need some money but you told me you don't have money to give me unless next week,and your daughter asked you and immediately you said she should come to your shop for the money tomorrow..ooh so that means your daughter is more important than me right?.. "she asked angryly

"Please Emilia, she needs the money urgently to check her results please " my dad said

"Hmm is okay, go ahead " she stared at me angrily".

I then left them to my room.

The following day i finished all my chores,then I went to my friend Anisa's place for her to accompany me to my dad's shop for me to go and check my results.

We went and my dad gave me the money,and wished me luck.

I was nervous when I was checking the results,then I prayed..

Oooh my goodness, this is awesome, I had straight A's

Wow, my friend and I were very happy that we both made it,
University loading, we gave each a very warm and long hug and smiling broadly, we were so excited...

Daddy I made it!!!
Wow my daughter I'm so proud of you, you made your father proud..
You know what just go home and rest, today we are going to celebrate you..

"Anisa, I want to go and show the results to Peter okay or would you like to come along"? I asked her.

"Noo, just go he is your boyfriend so just have fun "said Anisa teasingly.

Okay then see you later.

We bid eachother good bye,

Then I left to his place.
