"Mom it wasn't me" Chisom said

"Mom it wasn't me either " Anne beseech

"If I get that thief who stole the money, I will hmmm..hmm beat the heck out of that person..you two, you better start telling me which of you that stole the money from my bag "  my stepmom said angrily.

"Ooh I forgot,it was Adama she was the one who took the money from your bag, I saw her this morning taking money from it" Chisom said.

"Hmm..this stupid girl will come and meet me today, I will beat the living hell out of her"said my stepmom.

~Adama's POV~

"Ohh...oohh, here comes the thief!!" my step said

Adama where is the money you took from my bag?, answer me..

"Mama, you asked me to remove some money from your bag to buy you airtime, and that was what I removed, " I said to her.

How much did I asked you to take from the bag? She asked me angrily.

"You asked me to remove 15 cedis, and I did just that" I answered her nervously.

"But how come 30cedis is out of the bag, look Adama you better start telling me the truth,"she said angrily.

Before I knew she started beating me.

I was crying profusely, telling her I didn't steal her money, she continued to beat me..
this time round my dad  wasn't present to rescue me from her, she beat me mercilessly till I got bruises all over my body..

After her beatings I went to sit at the compound, I was seated when my dad returned from his shop:

"Adama what happened to you, why all this bruises on your body? "My dad asked

"Dad, mama accused me of stealing her money, later this morning when you left for work, she asked me to remove 15cedis from her bag to buy her airtime, I did what she asked, I was just coming back from her errand when she started accusing me of stealing her money, that I removed times two of the amount she asked me to remove, I tried explaining to her but she didn't listen to me, she started beating me" I said while sobbing.

"And how much did she say was missing? " My dad asked

"15 cedis dad" I answered.

"Wait here I'm coming okay " he muttered.

Okay dad.

"You  stole the money right!?" Anne asked

What if I did and what would you do?!!" Chisom beseech.

"Look I will tell dad that you stole the money" Anne said.

"Look, take your share and keep your mouth shut!!" Said Chisom.

"And what is happening here?!" Dad barged in.

We got startled.

Chisom hid the money, but rather unfortunately  on our part my dad saw us hiding the money,

And what is it you are hiding!? ( Dad asked)

"Nothing dad "Chisom said nervously.

"Dad is Money, Chisom was the one that stole the money from mama" Anne said nervously.

Hand the money to me!!!

"Now Chisom, you see today I'm going to flock you, so that next time you wouldn't steal " Dad said angrily.

Daddy I'm sorry, I wouldn't steal again, but dad didn't listen to her and continued to flock her till she got bruises all over her body too.

Chisom ran to our mother to complain to her..

"See what you are doing is not fair at all, why would you beat her only because she took just money from my bag, she took it from my bag, was it your money she took and you gave her all this bruises" said my stepmom.

"Look I don't blame you at all" said Dad, and held my hand then we left their presence

"Mom just look at all these bruises on my body"  Chisom muttered.

Just shut up, next time you wouldn't steal again, useless girl, come on leave my presence.
