~4th Hour, Speech and Drama Class~

After eating lunch with one of my great friends, Rylie, I was in a great mood! I was even more excited to be rehearsing our play in Drama Class titled, "Wishful Thinking" I had gotten the part of Ann who played the girlfriend of Dan.

It was embarrassing at first because my friend Kyle was playing the role of Dan. Mostly we changed the script a little to make it look like Ann had a crush on Dan and that was more comfortable to act. 

Megan and I are now great friends at this point and I am starting to re-gain happiness because of her and Rylie. I sat in the house with Megan and my other friend Ellie, Ellie is an 8th grader but she is super nice!

 Mrs.Wang started to explain how the lights and effects worked but honestly, I am not even paying attention but then she said to take our spots in the set so I got up and sat in the back row of desks."From line 35!" She shouted.

Good, I had a whole page before I even spoke, then my eyes traveled to my friend...

Ever since I stopped liking Paisley, I have tried to restrict myself and not have crushes on any girls, especially my straight girls or my friends since I couldn't go through losing somebody I cared so much for again.

I was kind of questioning whether or not I liked Megan like that but I knew I didn't at least, I thought... "She's just your friend, you like her, but only as a friend" one half of me said, but the other half said, "You do like her but you are sort of forcing it into a crush" Then I was starting to debate with myself not even paying attention to the play I stood up since I thought it was my line.

"We should wish that our sub is somebody famous!!" I shouted.

"No... that wasn't the right spot Sky" everybody said. "Oh I'm s-sorry I kind of got lost in my thoughts and thought it was my part." Slowly I sunk into my seat, feeling bad about speaking out of the part.

~A week or so later~

Today was the day we performed our play. Honestly, I'm super nervous, not because I am afraid of messing up, I am nervous because everybody that is my friend/crush/enemy is in the first audience.

It would be so embarrassing if I mess up!! I started to shake a little and decided to get a drink of water.

"Alright Sky, snap out of it! You get yourself together, You are the mother-freaking bomb, you are the best!" I whispered to myself before walking off to the stage entrance.

I met Kyle, Megan, and Ellie by the entrance, they looked a little nervous but excited.  "Hey, Guys!!" I said with a little shakiness in my voice. "Hey, Sky!!!" Megan and Ellie responded but Kyle just went over and talked to the other students.

"So, uh-m you guys nervous?" "No not really" they responded. I caught Megan's glance and my cheeks started to heat up... "What?" I said. "Oh, nothing I just-"

Mrs. Wang interrupted and called all of us together for a picture and a pep talk. We then took a picture for the Northwest newspaper, maybe we would be in it if we were lucky, then we put our hands in the middle and did our shout. 

Our performances went better than expected, the crowd loved us!! At least we think they did, I know Mrs. Wang was proud of us and so were my friends. Megan and Ellie were out in the hallway gathering their binders for the last ten minutes of the 3rd hour.

That's when we got called back for the curtain call. Everybody hurried back to the stage, I had to hold Gavin's hand... Super awkward!!!

The curtains opened and we bowed while the audience clapped away. I've never felt more relieved in my life, we had finally pulled it off!!!

~Later that week at McDonald's with the class~

As a treat for our performance, we are going to McDonald's!! Honestly, I am excited to go, my parents gave me 20 dollars to spend! I waited in line for the kiosks with my other friend, Monica, we weren't best friends but we were friends and that was alright with me.

"So, what do you think you are going to order?" I asked I wanted to know what she was getting cause I am a curious human. "Oh, I don't know probably just some fries" she responded. "I think I'll finally try an Oreo McFlurry," I said while tapping on the image and also getting some fries.

"You know what? That actually sounds like a good idea" She said. 

After receiving my food I traveled with Monica over to the table where Ellie and Megan were sitting. I plopped down next to the brunette and Monica sat next to Ellie. 

We all ordered literally the same thing, well except Megan got extra whipped cream on her McFlurry. Pretty soon I was laughing hysterically at the selfies we were taking, surprisingly I got actually got a good picture.

In one of them, I had whipped cream on my nose. "Ok, ok, we're going to be serious now, deep breath!" I inhaled and exhaled with my eyes closed.

Then I opened my eyes and exchanged looks with Megan, suddenly, for now, reason at all, we all started laughing hysterically again.

"Hey, Ya wanna get out of here?" I said with hair in my face.

They all started laughing again. 

About 30 minutes later we are walking back, high off of sugar and exhausted from laughing so hard.

"Hey, guys... Since this will probably be the last time ALL of us are hanging out together I just wanted to say, thank you for being nice to me and being my friend! It's been a pleasure bonding and getting to know you guys!"
I explained softly.

"We all feel the same way" my friends answered back to me.
