Saturday mornings were beginning to become one of Louis' favourite days. Sitting at the long dining table in the pack's cabin, while Dane, a 27 year old beta, and a chef by profession, cooks up a breakfast feast. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, omelettes, muffins and waffles all scattered the table accompanied by various spreads, sauces, condiments and fruits. It smelt and looked delicious, Louis looked over at Dane, slaving over the frypan; and Harry, at the counter over a mixing bowl.

He didn't know Harry could bake, but there he was, mixing up another batch of muffins, not needing to follow a recipe, just mixing it all together like a pro. The omega had two blueberry muffins already, and he thinks he could live off them for the rest of his life. He watched Harry as he mixed the batter in the large glass bowl. His brows furrowed in concentration, and the way his biceps are flexing with every movement he makes. "Looks Yummy." was whispered into his ear, and Louis snapped his head to see who it was.

Nathan was sat beside him, smirking at Louis. "I beg your pardon?" Louis all but stuttered, "Oh come on, Louis. He's that good looking, and he can bake?! He's a total catch!" Nathan watched Louis' face closely, trying to see what the omega was thinking. "If you say so" Louis coughed and took a bite of his third muffin. Nathan chuckled, but let the matter go.

"So. I hope you all liked breakfast, and filled up. Because today we're going for run. In wolf form." Zayn stated. There was cheering and whistles around the room. Louis was nervous, not that he'd let that show. He'd never been in wolf form in front of anyone before.

"There's not much to it, but I'll give rules anyway. Stay together; it's called a 'pack' for a reason.
Look out for each other.
No man left behind.
No funny business.
Do I make myself clear?" He finished, and a chorus of "yes alpha" was heard.

"Spread out, shift, and we'll leave on my count." He spoke, turning first, he stood taller than everyone else, being pack alpha and all. He was pure black with golden eyes. Everyone else followed in suit. All wolves varying in colour and size.

Louis took a deep breath and felt his muscles and bones realign themselves. He shifted and sat on his hind legs. He looked around, and noticed he was at least a half or a full head smaller than everyone else.

"Aww, look how tiny he is!"

"Louis you're so small"

"Should he come? We might lose him."

Louis jumped at all the voiced he could hear bouncing around in his head. He knew pack wolves could telepathically communicate when in wolf form, but he'd never experienced it first hand. He bowed his head and brought his paw up to his nose, trying to hide. He felt so embarrassed. He felt a nudge in his side, and he looked beside him where a snow-white wolf with bright blue eyes was, he knew it was Niall.

"Come on, Lou. You'll be fine." He spoke encouragingly. Louis stood, his tail between his legs, keeping his head bowed. Zayn made his way to the front of the group. "Okay everyone. Lets go." Zayn spoke before turning on his heel and bolted into the treeline, disappearing from Louis' sight. "C'mon Lou!" Niall laughed, and with that, the two of them were following behind.

Louis was fairly fast, because he was small and agile, he overtook some of the betas hanging at the back of the group. "Wait for me, Louis!" Niall's voice echoed through his head. Louis slowed his pace and the white wolf was back at his side. Louis closed his eyes and focused on the feeling of the wind running through his caramel fur. It was liberating, and he knew he wanted to do this more often.

He darted in and out of the trees, dodging bushes and sticks along the way. He almost felt like sticking his tongue out of his mouth... Almost. But he knew that would be ridiculous. He shook off the feeling and looked over at Niall. "Are you fucking kidding me Niall?" He scoffed, Niall looked at him, tongue still hanging out the side of his mouth, waving around in the wind. The omega shook his head at his friend, smiling on the inside.

He went to close his eyes again when he felt nipping at his feet and tail. Louis leapt forward letting out a yelp. The omega stopped in his tracks, along with Niall and two alphas behind them. "What the fuck?!" Niall growled, the light brown haired alpha rolled his eyes, and the sandy blonde alpha took a step closer to Louis, who tucked his tail between his legs, and cowered back a little.

"S-stop that. I mean it!" Stuttered in a small voice. If he was in human form he'd tell them off with no trouble, but in wolf form, he was more omega than ever, his whole body submitting. "Or what?"
"Who's gonna protect you? Your beta friend here?" The two alphas laughed and amongst one another before creeping forward to attack, Louis bolted.

He knew they wouldn't touch Niall, it was him they wanted. He was panting as he pushed his body. He could hear they were chasing him, he whimpered as he tried pushing further, they were going to catch him, and he didn't know what they'd do when they did.

Louis was, literally, smacked out of his thoughts. He had collided with something big and he fell to the ground with another yelp. He was quick to stand to all fours and look at who was there. A dark brown haired alpha who stood very tall, and had awfully familiar green eyes. "Louis, are you okay? We couldn't find you, we-"

"Harry, they're chasing me, please help, they're going to-" and then he was the one who was cut off, the two alphas came to a holt. They weren't as tall as Harry, who now stood In front of Louis, protectively, letting out a low snarl. "Hey back off, pal. We saw him first" one spoke. And Harry growled, "Go. Away." He spat through his clenched jaw. Louis could see his pupils had taken over his whole eye, leaving them black, even Louis was afraid.

The two alphas growled back but turned and ran away nonetheless. Harry turned back to Louis, his aggressive alpha demeanour fading, being replaced with one of concern. "Are you okay? Did they hurt you?" He knelt down, resisting the urge to nuzzle into his neck. "I'm fine. Thank you, Harry" Louis would have smiled if in human form.

Liam came running over to them, halting and eyes searching the area. "Are you okay? What happened? Where's Niall?" He asked, Louis remembered about Niall, he stood up, "I don't know!" He spoke in a panic. A shaking Niall slowly stepped out from behind the tree. "I- I'm sorry. I couldn't do anything to help..." he spoke ashamed. Louis jogged to him, and nuzzled his neck, "It's fine Niall, thank you for trying" and the white wolf nuzzled back, his body relaxing.

They got back safely to the cabin, explaining to Zayn, who was angry and worried sick, the situation and how no one recognised the two alphas. Everyone had formed back into humans and were bidding farewell with promises to see each other the next day. Louis waved to Nathan as his car drove off. "Louis" he felt a tap on his shoulder and turned to harry, who looked, almost shy.

"Yeah?" He asked, trying not to sound nervous. "Mind if we chat?" He asked, and Louis simply nodded. Harry was walking to the porch and Louis'. thoughts were racing. He was thinking of all the possible things that he could have to say. Harry took a seat on the step, and patted beside him, offering Louis a small smile. Louis sat, staring at his fidgeting fingers.

"Firstly, I'd like to apologize. Friday night, I was out of line. I shouldn't of-, touched you like that without your consent. It was wrong, and I'm sorry. I'm not usually like that. I think when that guy was bothering you, I was thinking about what-" he glanced cautiously at Louis, "-well, you know, and my alpha was feeling protective. I know very well you can stand up for yourself." He added with a cheeky smile.

Louis chuckled but it faded and was replaced with a grateful smile, "Thank you Harry. Not many alphas would apologize. I really appreciate it." Harry smiled back at him. "Do you think maybe we can start over again. I know I'm not the most open or friendly guy, but I'd like it if we could be friends" he asked, sounding hopeful. Louis smile grew, "I'd like that."
