Mount Justice
August 3, 13:06 EDT

(The team watches Wally beat Kaldur in air hockey just as Superboy arrives to the cave.)

Miss Martian: Hi, Superboy. How was Metropolis?

(Superboy walks past everyone without saying a word.)

White Lightning: Rude.

(Black Canary clears her throat as she arrives with Martian Manhunter.)

Black Canary: Ready for training, everyone?

Miss Martian: Black Canary. Uncle J'onn!

(M'gann walks up to her uncle & hugs him.)

Martian Manhunter: M'gann, I was in the neighborhood so I thought I would come by and see how you were adjusting.

Cassie: That's sweet.

Miss Martian: A few bumps but I'm learning.

Martian Manhunter: That's all I can ask.

(Superboy continues to walk away until Black Canary tells him to stick around. She stands in front of the team.)

Black Canary: I consider it an honor to be your teacher. I'll throw a lot at you. Everything I've learned from my own mentors.

(Black Canary gingerly takes off her jacket revealing part of her arm is bandaged.)

Black Canary: And my own bruises.

Miss Martian: What happened?

Black Canary: The job. Now, combat is about controlling conflict. Putting the battle on your terms. You should always be acting, never reacting. I'll need a sparring partner.

Kid Flash: Right here! Yeah.

(Wally finishes the banana he was eating & walks up to Black Canary.)

Kid Flash: After this, I'll show you my moves.

Cassie: Smooth.

White Lightning: Seriously?

Wonder Girl: I was being sarcastic.

White Lightning: Right, I knew that.

(Black throws a punch which Wally blocks but she kicks his legs from under him which surprises the team.)

Kid Flash: Ow. That hurt so good.

Black Canary: Good block.

(Black Canary helps Wally up.)

Black Canary: But did anyone see what he did wrong?

Robin: He hit on teacher and got served?

White Lightning: [laughs]

Kid Flash: Dude!

Black Canary: He allowed me to dictate the terms-

(Superboy interrupts Black Canary.)

Superboy: Oh, please. With my powers, the battle's always on my terms.

White Lightning: Someone's arrogant.

Wonder Girl: Yeah, sounds like someone I know.

White Lightning: You're referring to me, aren't you?

Wonder Girl: Of course I'm not.

White Lightning: And now you're being sarcastic again.

Wonder Girl: You caught on quick.

White Lightning: [groans]

Superboy: I'm a living weapon. And this is a waste of my time.

Black Canary: Prove it.

(Superboy throws a punch but Black Canary grabs his arm & easily takes him down.)

Superboy: [growls]

Black Canary: You're angry. Good, but don't react. Channel that anger-

(Superboy charges at Black Canary but she jumps over him & takes out his legs from under him.)

Robin: [muffled laughter]

Superboy: That's it.

(Superboy gets up.)

Superboy: I'm done.

Black Canary: Training is mandatory.

(Batman appears on screen.)

Batman: Batman to the cave. Five hours ago, a new menace attacked Green Arrow and Black Canary.

Batman: The attacker was capable of studying, then duplicating the powers and abilities of it's opponents. Arrow called in reinforcements, which nearly proved disastrous as our foe gained more and more power with each new combatant.

Wally: Whoa. One guy with the powers of the entire League?

Batman: In the end, it took 8 Leaguers 4 hours to defeat and dismantle the android.

Cassie: Wow.

Robin: An android? Who made it, T.O. Morrow?

Batman: Good guess, Robin. But Red Tornado doesn't think so.

Martian Manhunter: The technology bears the signature of Professor Ivo.

Aqualad: Ivo? But he's dead.

Black Canary: So we all thought...or hoped.

White Lightning: How...unfortunate.

Batman: To make certain this threat is permanently neutralized, we're sending two trucks carrying the android's parts to two separate S.T.A.R. lab facilities in Boston and New York for immediate evaluation. Every precaution is being taken. We'll have 4 additional decoy trucks to create confusion in case Ivo or anyone tries to recover the remains. You will split into undercover teams to safeguard the two real trucks.

Kid Flash: Yes! Road trip.

Superboy: So now we take out your trash?

Batman: You had something better to do?

(Superboy looks down as Kaldur receives the coordinates.)

Aqualad: Coordinates received. On our way.

(The team runs off as Black Canary tells Superboy that when he's ready, she's here.)

Litchfield County
August 3, 20:08

(We see parts of the android go in two different containers as people from S.T.A.R. labs put them into two different trucks. Then we see Superman look at the bushes & use his X-ray vision to see our heroes on motorcycles as Superboy looks at him. As he does, Superman avoids eye contact with him making Superboy sad as our heroes put their helmets on, drive off, & get ready. Then we see Batman tell the trucks to leave with a hand signal as they drive off. Robin & Superboy follow the Boston trucks while Aqualad, Kid Flash, Miss Martian, Wonder Girl, & White LIghtning follow the Manhattan trucks. Some of the League fly off or drive away. Superman was about to do the same until Batman stops him so they can talk. Cut to the Manhattan truck group.)

Miss Martian's thoughts: Hey, White Lightning?

White Lightning's thoughts: Yes, Miss M?

Miss Martian's thoughts: How are things going with you and Wonder Girl?

White Lightning's thoughts: [sighs] You're only talking to me, right? You're not linked to the others?

Miss Martian's thoughts: Nope! Just you and me.

White Lightning's thoughts: Okay, good. Well, I'd say it's not going too well.

Miss Martian's thoughts: Aw, why's that?

White Lightning's thoughts: All she does is make fun of me.

Miss Martian's thoughts: I mean, it's better than her out right ignoring you.

White Lightning's thoughts: I guess.

Miss Martian: Do you think Superboy's ok? I-I wasn't reading his mind, I swear, but anger flowed off him in waves.

White Lightning: He probably has daddy issues. Trust me, I know from experience.

(They all look at White Lightning.)

White Lightning: My father and I are on good terms now though.

Kid Flash & Wonder Girl: Sure...

White Lightning: We are!

Kid Flash: Anyway, surf that wave. Just give him some space.

(Kid Flash drives up to Miss Martian.)

Kid Flash: Me? Stick as close as you want.

Aqualad: Superboy just needs some time to cool off. A quiet mission will clear his head.

(A couple seconds after Aqualad had said that, some robot monkeys fly out the cornfield & go after the truck.)

Aqualad: Robin, Superboy, our truck is under attack!

(Robin & Superboy begin to deal with the robot monkeys as does the Manhattan group. Aqualad, using water, slashes some of the robot monkeys. Wonder Girl, White Lightning, & Miss Martian jump off their bikes as robot monkeys take out their bikes. They do the same to Kid Flash's bike but he's able to keep up thanks to his superspeed. Miss Martian sends some of the robot monkeys off the truck using her telekinesis, Kid Flash kicks some off the side of the truck & Aqualad continues to slash them off with water. As for Wonder Girl & White Lightning, they're on top of the truck, destroying as many robot monkeys as they can.)

*SMASH*

Wonder Girl: They just keep coming!

White Lightning: Don't remind me!

*SMASH*

(A bunch of robot monkeys begin to overwhelm White Lightning & crawl all over him.)

White Lightning: Ah! [shouts] Wonder Girl!

Wonder Girl: Uh?

(Wonder Girl looks over to see White Lightning's predicament.)

Wonder Girl: White Lightning-

White Lightning: Throw me!

Wonder Girl: What? Why-

White Lightning: Just do it!

(Wonder Girl grabs a hold of White Lightning & throws him off the truck with the robot monkeys still all over him.)

Aqualad: White Lightning!

Kid Flash: Why did you do that?!

Wonder Girl: Because he told me to!

(Cut to White Lightning in the air with robot monkeys all over him, who are currently pulling on his face.)

Robot Monkeys: [laughing]

White Lightning: [groans] I'll give you machines something to laugh about! Astrapí!

(Astrapí means "Lightning" in Greek.)

(As White Lightning says that, a lightning bolt strikes, engulfing himself & the monkeys. Disintegrating the monkeys in the process. Unfortunately, the robot monkeys are able to steal the parts from the trucks.)

Aqualad (On Comms): Aqualad to Superboy, radio your position we'll help you.

Superboy: I don't need help! Don't want any!

(Superboy takes the communicator out of his ear.)

Aqualad (On Comms): Superboy?

Robin (On Comms): I think he ditched his comms.

Kid Flash: Super. Now, we can't even track him.

(Miss Martian tries to use her telepathy to find Superboy but he's out of her range.)

Miss Martian: This Professor Ivo, if he is alive, seems to be two steps ahead of us. M-Maybe we should call Red Tornado?

Aqualad: Tornado always tells us to handle things ourselves. And the mission can still succeed if we recover the parts before they're reassembled.

Wonder Girl: That's a good plan.

Kid Flash: It is. Except for the part about us nor knowing where to look!
Robin (On Comms): Maybe we do.

(White Lightning finally arrives back with the team on a cloud.)

White Lightning: So, what'd I miss?

(As White Lightning arrives, Robin plugs into one of the monkeys & finds out that parts have GPS & that they're converging on Gotham City.)

Aqualad: That far south? The majority of us won't get there anytime soon. I'm sending Kid and Lightning to meet you. Aqualad out.

White Lightning: Uh, why am I going with Wally?

Aqualad: Because Robin and Kid could use some back up.

White Lightning: Ah, that makes-

(Before White Lightning can finish his sentence, Kid Flash scoops him up & runs off.)

White Lightning: A head's up would've been nice.

Kid Flash: Oh, relax. I'm sure Hermes carried you while running at superspeed a bunch of times.

White Lightning: He never did.

Kid Flash: Oh. Well, there's a first time for everything.

Gotham City
August 3, 21:35 EDT

(Kid Flash, with White Lightning in his arms, runs aside Robin, who's on his motorcycle.)

Robin: So you guys changed, too?

Kid Flash: You kidding? [shivers] I feel naked in chivvies.

White Lightning: I do feel more comfortable in my suit as well.

Kid Flash: You still tracking the parts?

Robin: They were heading through Gotham, but they veered.

(Robin looks down on a screen to see the parts headed to Gotham City Academy.)

Robin: Wait. Dude, they're at my school.

White Lightning: We best get a move on then.

Robin: Not before I get a picture of you in Kid's arms.

White Lightning: You wouldn't dare!

(Cut to Kid Flash saving Superboy from getting smashed by Amazo.)

Robin: Where's W.L.?

Kid Flash: I dropped him off by the front doors of the gym. He should be here any second now.

Robin: Right.

(Robin throws a bird-a-rang but...)

Amazo: Access Martian Manhunter.

(Amazo phases through it. But suddenly White Lightning runs straight at Amazo with a hammer made out of electricity & hits Amazo in the legs, dropping him.)

White Lightning: [heavy sigh] He wasn't so tough.

Amazo: Access Captain Atom.

White Lightning: Huh?

(Amazo lifts his arm up & blasts White Lighting into a wall.)

White Lightning: [groans]

(Amazo accesses Red Tornado & sends Robin, Kid Flash, & Superboy across the gym. Amazo accesses various members of the League & easily handles everything our heroes throw at him. White Lightning leaps at Amazo but Amazo easily counters by accessing The Flash, quickly running beside him, grabbing White Lightning by the ankle, & slamming him on the floor.)

White Lightning: Ack!

Amazo: Access Superman.

(Amazo places a foot on White Lightning & begins to press on him. Kid Flash tries to help but gets caught by Amazo & begins to squeeze him.)

Kid Flash: Ahh!

White Lightning: [straining] Let go of him!

(Suddenly an arrow is shot at Amazo who accesses Martian Manhunter to phase through it. Letting go of Kid & giving him the chance to run away with White Lightning. Amazo is still able to handle everything our heroes throw at him.)

White Lightning: Third time's the charm?

Amazo: Access Superman.

(Amazo shoots lasers from his eyes at White Lighting who quickly creates a shield made out of electricity to block the lasers.)

White Lighting: [groans] I guess not.

(Superboy watches this & realizes something.)

Superboy: Access Black Canary.

Ivo: Oh, yawn. Normally, Amazo would study and mimic your abilities during battle, but what's the point? You're all such poor copies of the originals.

Superboy: So everyone keeps saying. It makes me angry!

(Superboy jumps towards Ivo but quickly runs away from Superboy before he can get hit.)

Superboy: Want to see channel that anger?!

Kid Flash: Great. He's gone ballistic again.

White Lightning: I wish he'd go ballistic on that android.

Robin: *smirks* Maybe not.

Ivo: Amazo, protect your master. Priority alpha.

(Ivo dodges another of Superboy's attacks as he's blasted by Amazo.)

Robin: Anyone wanna play keep away?

(Robin kicks Ivo causing Amazo to look at him.)

Kid Flash: Oh-oh! Me, me!

Amazo: Access Superman.

(Amazo stomps on the ground causing Kid Flash to fly.)

White Lighting: I've got you!

(White Lightning creates a lasso made out of electricity & catches Kid Flash.)

Kid Flash: Heh, thanks.

(Robin throws a bird-a-rang at Amazo.)

Amazo: Access Martian Manhunter.

(It goes through him but as Amazo is about to access another hero, Superboy puts his fist through Amazo's head, causing it to blow up, & Amazo's body falling over.)

Robin: Help me disassemble him, now!

Kid Flash: Dude, the guy has no head.

Aqualad: Don't take any chances!

(Aqualad, Miss Martian, & Wonder Girl arrive.)

Kid Flash: Hey, where's Ivo?

Wonder Girl: Looks like he got away.

White Lighting: [groans loudly]

Mount Justice
August 4, 01:06 EDT

(The team is giving a debrief on what occurred.)

Aqualad: The Amazo android is in pieces again. Safely being analyzed at the two separate S.T.A.R. labs. But Ivo escaped and since he originated the tech, he's arguably more dangerous than the android.

Black Canary: Capturing the Professor will be a League priority.

Martian Manhunter: But we understand your mission encountered other complications.

(The team looks at Superboy as Batman walks up to them.)

Batman: Complications come with the job. Your ability to handle them has impressed the League.

Superboy: The whole League?

Batman: Given time, yes. Kryptonians, as you know, have very hard heads.

Superboy: *smirks*

Batman: Of course, there's no shame in asking for help. That's why the League exists. Because there are some problems even we can't handle individually.

Robin: Please. If we needed your help, we'd never get the chance to ask.

(Robin takes out the arrow from before.)

Robin: Look familiar? You were following us! Babysitting! You still don't trust us.

Batman: We didn't follow you.

(Green Arrow shows his arrow to show the different arrowheads.)

Kid Flash: Speedy!

Aqualad: He has our backs.

White Lightning: What a pal!

(Kid Flash grabs the arrow as Robin, Aqualad, & White Lightning walks towards him.)

Kid Flash: Souvenir!

Wonder Girl's thoughts: He must be some guy.

(Batman & Green Arrow look at each other as we cut to Black Canary.)

Superboy: [clears his throat] Black Canary looks at Superboy.

Superboy: I'm ready.

Black Canary: Good. Because I'm here.

(Superboy smiles as the camera zooms out & everything fades to black.)
