July 4, 12:00 EDT

(People are enjoying their day in the park. There's even a father barbecuing with his kids until they hear the screams of the other civilians, see them running from something, & see some of them getting frozen. Revealing it's Mr. Freeze who's done all of this. He's standing above the father & his children.)

Mr. Freeze: Enjoying family time?

(Mr. Freeze freezes the family.)

Mr. Freeze: My family has other plans.

(Mr. Freeze slides down to continue freezing civilians until a batarang hits his freeze gun.)

Mr. Freeze: Batman?

(Mr. Freeze turns around.)

Mr. Freeze: I was wondering when...

???: [laughs]

(Robin comes out of nowhere & cracks Freeze's helmet.)

Mr. Freeze: Oh, Boy Wonder. The Bat sent you to drag me off to prison? Frankly, I'm underwhelmed.

Robin: Great, but I'm kinda in a hurry here.

Mr. Freeze: Kids, always in such a rush.

Robin: Not talking to you...

(Freeze turns around to see Batman jump up & punch him in the face; shattering his helmet.)

(Icicle Jr. hopes onto a bridge & starts flipping cars with his ice.)

Icicle Jr: [laughs]

(Some arrows are shot at Icicle Jr. & his ice. After a couple of seconds, the arrows blow up around him. Icicle Jr. looks up to see Green Arrow & Speedy on top of the bridge & knocking more arrows.)

Icicle Jr: Finally! I was wondering what a guy had to do to get a little attention around here.

(Icicle Jr. throws some ice at the archer duo.)

Speedy: Junior's doing this for attention?

(Green Arrow & Speedy's arrows blow up some of the ice sent for them. But they aren't able to blow all of the ice so dodge it & begin to run down the bridge.)

Speedy: I'm telling you now, this little distraction better not interfere.

(The archer duo continue to dodge ice while Icicle Jr. blocks some arrows with some of his ice. The arrows blow up a hole in Icicle Jr. 's ice wall where he sends some ice at Speedy but he flips over the ice & fires an arrow at Icicle Jr. which hits him in the face & knocking him out.)

Green Arrow: [chuckles] Kid had a glass jaw.

Speedy: Hilarious. Can we go? Today's the day!

Pearl Harbor
July 4, 06:02 HST

(We see Killer Frost fighting Aquaman & Aqualad on top of a frozen ship. Killer Frost freezes Aquaman & Aqualad runs by him. Aquaman frees himself from the ice with ease.)

Aquaman: Don't tell me you're not excited.

Aqualad: Right now, my king, I'm more focused on the matter at hand.

(Aqualad is weaving his way through Killer Frost's ice. Aqualad jumps into the air but Killer Frost freezes his hands. But that doesn't stop Aqualad as he uppercuts Killer Frost with his ice covered hands, knocking her out.)

Aquaman: Well?

Aqualad: Yes, I'm excited. Today's the day.

(The Flash & Kid Flash are currently running around Captain Cold while he tries to freeze them.)

Flash: Stealing ice? Seriously? Isn't that a bit cliche even for Captain Cold?

Kid Flash: (irritated) Come on. We don't have time for this!

(Kid Flash puts his goggles on & runs at Captain Cold. Captain Cold shoots some ice at Kid Flash but he's able to side step it & grabs Captain Cold's cold gun.)

Captain Cold: [growls]

(The Flash runs up to Captain Cold & punches him in the face which knocks him out.)

Flash: Calm down, Kid.

Kid Flash: Please! You'll chat it up with the cops, with bystanders, with Cold even! No, no way! Today is the day.

Gateway City
July 4, 12:05 EST

(Blue Snowman & robot minions are causing a panic in the city.)

Blue Snowman: Yes, my robots!

(Her robots are currently freezing cars, buildings, & civilians.)

Blue Snowman: Freeze it all!

???: Who is this, sister?

(Blue Snowman looks up to see Wonder Woman flying beside her sidekick White Lightning who's on top of a cloud, coming straight for her.)

Wonder Woman: A villain known as Blue Snowman.

Blue Snowman: Get them my robots!

(Her robots begin to run towards Wonder Woman & White Lightning to meet them head on.)

White Lightning: Let's get this over with.

(White Lightning summons a lightning clouds right over Blue Snowman & her robots.)

*CRACK*

(Lighting bolts come from the clouds & zap all of Blue Snowman's robots, destroying them.)

Blue Snowman: No!!

(Wonder Woman lands behind Blue Snowman & punches the back of Blue Snowman's helmet & shatters it, revealing...)

White Lightning: A woman?!

Blue Snowman: What? Surprised?!

White Lightning: Uh...sister?

(Wonder Woman punches Blue Snowman across her face which knocks her out.)

Wonder Woman: You handled yourself well, brother.

White Lighting: Thank you but let's get moving. Today is the day.

(We see all the heroes & their sidekicks except for The Flash & Kid Flash in front of the Hall of Justice.)

Batman: Today is the day.

Green Arrow: Welcome to the Hall of Justice.

Aquaman: Headquarters of the Justice League.

Wonder Woman: This is a big step for each of you.

Kid Flash: Oh, man!

(They all turn around to see The Flash & Kid Flash arriving.)

Kid Flash: I knew we'd be the last ones here.

(Cut to the heroes & their sidekicks walking towards the Hall of Justice while bystanders take pictures.)

Bystander A1: Is that Batman?

Bystander: A5: I see Flash and Flash Jr.

Bystander A3: His name's Speedy, duh.

Bystander A6: No, Speedy is Green Arrow's sidekick.

Bystander: A3: Well that makes no sense.

Bystander B3: There's Wonder Woman and White Lightning.

Bystander B1: Why is Wonder Woman's sidekick a boy and not a girl?

(White Lightning overhears this.)

White Lightning: Am I not good enough for them?

Wonder Woman: Pay it no mind, brother. I'm honored to have you as my sidekick.

White Lightning: Please, I'm honored to be by your side-

Robin: Ugh, enough of the sibling love.

Wonder Woman & White Lightning: [chuckles]

White Lightning: Sorry, Robin.

Green Arrow: Ready to see the inner sanctum?

Speedy: Born that way.

Aqualad: I'm glad that we're all here.

White Lightning: As am I.

Kid Flash: Have all five sidekicks ever been in the same place, at the same time-

Speedy: Don't call us sidekicks. Not after today.

Kid Flash: Sorry. First time at the Hall, I'm a little overwhelmed.

Robin: You're overwhelmed, Freeze was underwhelmed, why isn't anyone just whelmed?

White Lightning: So, Kaldur?

Aqualad: (Y/N)?

White Lightning: Any luck with Tula?

Aqualad: [sighs] 'Fraid not, (Y/N).

White Lightning: Don't worry my friend. You'll get her eventually!

Aqualad: [chuckles] Yeah. How about you?

White Lightning: Me? [scoffs] These mortal girls can't handle me.

(The heroes & their sidekicks walk into the Hall where they see statues of the original 7 members of the Justice League.)

Robin: Oh. Maybe that's why.

(Martian Manhunter & Red Tornado come out a huge door to meet them.)

Martian Manhunter: Robin, Speedy, Aqualad, Kid Flash, White Lightning, welcome.

(Martian Manhunter turns & walks away, which prompts the heroes & their sidekicks to follow him.)

Martian Manhunter: You now have unlimited access to the gym, our fully stocked galley, and of course our library.

Flash: Make yourselves at home.

(Kid Flash, Robin, & Aqualad take a seat while White Lightning is looking at a bookshelf; deciding what to read, and Speedy is standing in place & listening in on the heroes' conversation.)

Batman: Quick debrief to discuss the coincidence of 5 ice villains attacking on the same day. We shouldn't be long.

(Batman & the other heroes turn around to get scanned.)

Computer: Batman, 0-2; Wonder Woman, 0-3; Aquaman, 0-6; Flash, 0-4; Green Arrow, 0-8; Martian Manhunter, 0-7; Red Tornado, 1-6.

(A Justice League Members only door opens.)

Speedy: That's it?

(The heroes turn around to look at Speedy.)

Speedy: You promised us a real look inside, not a glorified backstage pass!

Aquaman: It's a first step. You've granted access few others get.

Speedy: Oh, really?

(Speedy points at some tourists watching them through a glass window where they're either taking pictures or videos.)

Speedy: Who cares which side of the glass we're on?

(White Lightning responds without taking his eyes off the book he's reading.)

White Lightning: He does have a point.

Wonder Woman: Does he, brother?

(With his sister's response, White Lightning takes his eyes off the book he's reading & looks at his sister.)

(Y/N): ...

Green Arrow: Roy, you just need to to be patient.

Speedy: What I need is respect.

(Speedy turns around to his friends.)

Speedy: They're treating us like kids. Worse--like sidekicks! We deserve better than this.

(They all just look at each other.)

Speedy: You're kidding, right? You're playing their game? Why? Today was supposed to be the day, step one in becoming full-fledged members of the League.

Kid Flash: Well, sure, but I thought step one was a tour of the HQ.

Speedy: Except the hall isn't the League's real HQ.

(The other sidekicks are shocked by this.)

Speedy: I bet they never told you it's just a front for tourists and a pit stop for catching zeta beam teleporter tubes to the real thing, an orbiting satellite called the Watchtower.

(Green Arrow turns around to see his fellow League members mad at him while Batman crosses his arms.)

Green Arrow: I know, I know, but I thought maybe we could make an exception?

(Batman's look says it all.)

Green Arrow: Or not.

Aquaman: You're not helping your cause here, son. Stand down or-

Speedy: Or what? You'll send me to my room? And I'm not your son!

(Speedy looks at Green Arrow.)

Speedy: I'm not even his. I thought I was his partner, but not anymore.

(Speedy grabs his hand & throws it to the ground which shocks his friends. Speedy then turns around & walks off.)

Speedy: Guess they're right about you 4. You're not ready.

White Ligtning's thoughts: Mortals can be really mean...

(After Speedy leaves, there's a transmission from Superman.)

Superman: Superman to Justice League. There's been an explosion at Project Cadmus. It's on fire.

Batman: I've had my suspicions about Cadmus. This may present the perfect opportunity to in-

Zatara: Zatara to Justice League. The sorcerer Wotan is using the amulet of Attan to blot out the sun. Requesting full League response.

Batman: Superman?

Superman: It's a small fire. Local authorities have it under control.

Batman: Then Cadmus can wait.

(Batman contacts all the members of the League to rendezvous at Zatara's coordinate. The sidekicks get behind the heroes.)

Batman: Stay put.

Robin: What? Why?

White Lightning: You need us!

Aquaman: This is a League mission.

Flash: You're not trained.

Kid Flash: Since when?

Flash: I meant you're not trained to work as a part of this team.

Aquaman: There will be other missions when you're ready.

White Lightning: But we're ready now!

Wonder Woman: No, you aren't.

Batman: So for now, stay put.

(The heroes walk off the teleporter.)

Green Arrow: Glad you didn't bring you know who?

Martian Manhunter: Indeed.

Green Arrow: Though I don't know why you didn't bring her along with White Lightning, Diana.

Wonder Woman: She's not quite ready yet.

(Red Tornado hangs back a bit before walking off with the other heroes.)

Kid Flash: Ugh, when we're ready? How are we ever supposed to be when they treat us like--like sidekicks?

Aqualad: My mentor, my king, I thought he trusted me.

White Lightning: I trust my sister with everything! Looks like the feeling isn't mutual.

Kid Flash: Trust? They don't even trust us with the basics! They've got a secret HQ in space!

Aqualad: What aren't they telling us?

Robin: I have a better question. Why didn't we leave with Speedy?

(Kid Flash & Aqualad look down while White Lightning pinches the bridge of his nose.)

Aqualad: What is Project Cadmus?

Robin: Don't know, (smirks) but I can find out.

(Robin proceeds to hack the computer because it has the same systems as the Batcave.)

Computer: Access granted.

Robin: Alright. Project Cadmus. Genetics lab here in D.C. That's all there is, but if Batman's suspicious, maybe we should investigate.

Aqualad: Solve their case before they do. (smiles) It would be poetic justice.

White Lightning: [chuckles] It would!

Robin: Hey, they're all about justice.

Aqualad: [sigh] But they said stay put.

Robin: For the blotting out the sun mission, not this.

Kid Flash: Wait. Are you going to Cadmus? Because if you're going, I'm going.

White Lightning: What are we waiting for?

(White Lightning pats Aqualad's back.)

White Lightning: Come on, Kaldur!

Aqualad: Just like that, we're a team on a mission?

Robin: We didn't come here for a playdate.

(Cut to a burning Project Cadmus where firefighters are trying to put out the fire & some scientists are screaming for help.)

Scientist 1: Help!

Scientist 2: Get us down!

Fireman: Stay put. We will get you out.

(The room the scientists were in explodes which causes them to fall out of the room they were in. But Kid Flash runs up the wall & places the scientists up on the roof. He nearly slipped but he's able to hang onto a window opening.)

Fireman: It's what's his name--Flash Boy!

Kid Flash: Kid Flash! Why is that so hard?

(Aqualad, Robin, & White Lightning run to up to the building.)

White Lightning: That was quite the entrance.

Robin: So smooth.

Aqualad: Does he always have to run ahead? We need a plan. We--

White Lightning: What?

(They notice that Robin is gone.)

Aqualad & White Lightning: Robin?

Robin: Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

(Robin swings his way into the Cadmus & helps Kid Flash into the building.)

White Lightning: After you.

Aqualad: [sighs]

(They run towards the firefighters.)

Aqualad: I need to borrow that.

(Aqualad uses his water-bearers to control the water from the hose & creates a platform for the scientists to get on.)

Aqualad: Step aboard. Now.

(At the same time...)

White Lightning: Let's see.

(White Lightning stares into a part of the burning building.)

White Lightning: *pops fingers*

(White Lightning creates mini rain clouds inside of the burning part of the building that instantly begin to rain & puts out some of the fire.)

Firefighter: Thanks, White Lightning.

White Lightning: (smiles)

Aqualad: White Lightning.

White Lightning: Coming!

(White Lightning steps onto the water platform. Aqualad moves them into the building.)

Aqualad: (sarcasm) Appreciate the help.

Robin: You two handled it. Besides, we're here to investigate. Poetic justice, remember?

White Lightning: Did you at least find anything?

(Aqualad walks out of the room to see something get into an elevator.)

Aqualad: There was something in the-

Kid Flash: Elevators should be locked down.

(Robin taps on his hollow key revealing that Cadmus has way more elevators than a two-story building should have.)

Aqualad: Neither does what I saw.

(Aqualad prys open the elevator doors revealing the elevator shaft.)

Robin: And that's why they need an express elevator.

(Robin shoots a grappling hook to the roof of the elevator shaft. The four heroes begin to slide the rope until they reach the end of Robin's rope which is in front of SL 26.)

Robin: I'm at the end of my rope.

(The four heroes hop onto SL 26's elevator edge.)

Robin: Bypassing security. There! Go!

(Aqualad prys open the elevator doors.)

Robin: Welcome to Project Cadmus.

White Lightning: [groans] It's so stuffy in here.

(Kid Flash runs ahead.)

Aqualad: [whispering] Kid, wait!

(Kid Flash slides in front of some giant monsters & he's about to get crushed but he's able to roll out of the way.)

Kid Flash: [sighs]

(Kid Flash runs up to his friends.)

White Lightning: Uh...what am...I looking at...?

(A smaller monster riding the bigger monster does something to our heroes as its horns start to glow.)

Aqualad: No. Nothing odd going on here.

(Cut to Robin hacking open another door.)

Robin: Okay, I'm officially whelmed.

(Our heroes see a bunch of creatures in containers giving off electricity.)

Kid Flash: This is how they hid this massive underground facility from the world. The real Cadmus isn't on the grid. It generates its own power with these things. Must be what they're bred for.

Aqualad: Even the name is a clue.

White Lightning: You're right. The Cadmus of myth created a new race by sowing dragon's teeth into the earth.

Robin: And this Cadmus creates new life too. Let's find out why.

(Robin proceeds to hack a nearby computer.)

Robin: They call them Genomorphs. Whoa! Look at the stats on these things. Super-strength, telepathy, razor claws. These are living weapons.

White Lightning: Oh, Hera.

Kid Flash: They're engineering an army. But for who?

Robin: Wait, there's something else. Project K-R. The file's triple-encrypted, I can't-

Guardian: Don't move!

(Guardian runs in with Genomorphs alongside him.)

Guardian: Wait. Robin? Aqualad? Kid Flash? White Lightning?

Robin: At least he got your name right.

White Lightning: Is that really what you're focusing on right now, Robin?

Aqualad: I know you. Guardian. A hero.

Guardian: I do my best.

Kid Flash: Then, what are you doing here?

Guardian: I'm chief of security. You're trespassing. But we can call the Justice League. Figure this out.

Kid Flash: You think the League's gonna approve of you breeding weapons?

Guardian: Weapons? What do you-?

(The horns of the Genomorph on Guardian's shoulder starts to glow.)

Guardian: What have I-? Ugh. My head. Take them down hard. No mercy.

Genomorphs: [snarling]

(Robin throws down a smoke bomb & grapples away. Kid Flash is quickly fighting as many Genomorphs as he can. Aqualad throws a Genomorph off his back but Guardian charges into him, sending him into a wall.)

Aqualad: [grunts]

(Guardian is about to charge into Aqualad again but before he can, White Lightning creates a lightning bolt in his right hand & throws at Guardian. Hitting him in the chest.)

Guardian: Argh!!

Aqualad: Thanks.

White Lightning: No problem.

(The trio run out of the smoke with Genomorphs hot on their tail to find Robin down a hallway, currently trying to hack open an elevator. Kid Flash runs up to Robin.)

Kid Flash: Way to be a team player, Rob.

Robin: Weren't you right behind me?

(The elevator opens which Robin & Kid Flash instantly get into. Aqualad & White Lightning also get into the elevator with the doors closing on Genomorphs.)

White Lightning: [pants] Robin, leave us behind again, you and I are going to have a problem.

Robin: Relax, WL. You're a God. I knew you'd be fine. Why didn't you just create a cloud so you and Kaldur could just float over to us?

White Lightning: Are you serious? You know it takes time for me to create a cloud!

(Aqualad notices that they're headed down.)

Aqualad: We're headed down?

Kid Flash: Dude, out is up.

Robin: Excuse me? Project Kr, it's down on sublevel 52.

White Lightning's thoughts: Hmm, 52?

Aqualad: This is getting out of control. Perhaps...perhaps we should contact the League.

(Before any of them could answer, the elevator doors open to reveal sublevel 52.)

White Lightning: Why does this floor look like intestines?

(Robin & Kid Flash run out of the elevator.)

Aqualad: [sighs]

(Cut to our heroes in front of a hallway.)

Aqualad: Which way?

Robin: Yeah. Bizarre looking hallway one or bizarre looking hallway two?

White Lightning: A fork in the road.

???: Halt!

(A Genomorph appears in front of heroes & throws explosive barriers at our heroes which causes them to head down one of the hallways. Kid Flash runs down the hallway, running into a female scientist where he stops Project Kr's door from closing with a metal container.)

Kid Flash: Hurry!

(Robin, White Lightning, & Aqualad into Project Kr & Aqualad kicks the metal container stopping the door from closing & Robin disables the door.)

Robin: We're safe.

Aqualad: We're trapped.

White Lightning: [pants] Note to self: Join Diana on her morning runs.

Kid Flash: Uh guys, you'll want to see this.

(Kid Flash presses a button lighting up a young clone of Superman which shocks our heroes.)

Robin: Woah.

Kid Flash: Big K, litte r. The atomic symbol for Krypton.

White Lightning: Oh, yeah!

Aqualad: Robin. Hack.

Robin: Right.

(Robin hacks a nearby computer.)

Robin: Weapon designation: Superboy. A clone force grown in...16 weeks?! From DNA acquired from Superman.

Aqualad: Stolen from Superman.

Kid Flash: No way the big guy knows about this.

White Lightning: Not likely.

Robin: Solar suit allows him to absorb yellow sun radiation 24/7.

Aqualad: And these creatures?

Robin: Genomorph Gnomes. Telepathic. Force feeding me an education.

Kid Flash: And we can imagine what else.

White Lightning: An evil Superman...

Kid Flash: They're making a slave out of...well...Superman's son.

Aqualad: Now we contact the League.

(The 4 young heroes try to contact the League but there's no signal.)

Kid Flash: We're in too deep. Literally.

(The horns of the Genomorphs inside of Superboy's pod start to glow.)

White Lightning: Uh, should we be worried abo-

Kid Flash: This is wrong.

Robin: We can't leave him like this.

Aqualad: Set him free.

White Lightning: Wait a minute, guys. I don't know if that's a-

(Robin opens Superboy's pod. Superboy wakes up & lunges at Aqualad. He's now repeatedly punching Aqualad in the face. Kid Flash, Robin, & White Lightning run up behind Superboy & hold him.)

White Lightning: I knew this would happen!

Kid Flash: Woah! Hang on, Supey!

Robin: We're on your side!

(Superboy frees his arm from Kid Flash's grasp & punches him into a glass casing which knocks him out.)

White Lightning: You're gonna regret that!

(Superboy leans his head down & instantly sends it backwards into White Lightning's face.)

White Lightning: Ugh...

(White Lightning regains his bearings to see that both Robin & Aqualad now knocked out with Superboy standing over Aqualad.)

White Lightning: Hey!

(Superboy turns around to look at White Lightning.)

White Lightning: You've hurt my friends. I'm willing to let it go if you surrender.

Superboy: [yells]

(Superboy lunges at White Lightning.)

White Lightning: You dare take on the son of Zeus?!

(White Lightning creates two lightning bolts in his hands & throws them at Superboy which hit him in the chest.)

Superboy: [yells in pain]

(White Lightning is now running towards Superboy.)

White Lightning: I was actually hoping you wouldn't surrender so thank you!

Superboy: Grr-

(White Lightning is now in front of Superboy & starts punching Superboy in the face. With each punch; it sends Superboy back a bit.)

White Lightning: I'm going...

*PUNCH*

White Lightning: To send you...

*PUNCH*

White Lightning: To the underworld!

(Superboy catches White Lightning's fist.)

White Lightning: Welp.

(Superboy lifts White Lightning up by his arm & throws him into Project Kr's doors.)

*THUD*

(White Lightning is knocked out.)

(Superboy walks to Project Kr's doors & rips it open. Desmond walks next to Superboy & looks at the unconscious young heroes.)

Desmond: Atta boy.
