Yoba Academy: 8:30am
Y/N POV

While walking throughout the school, I take in the sights of fellow students preparing for the Yoba Culture Festival. The some of attractions include: A Cat Cafe, A Food Stand Contest, Haunted House, and Various Gym Activities.

Student A: Hey L/N-san can we borrow your height? We need to reach up there.

Y/N: Sure, let me get that for you.

Student B: Thanks so much! I guess being tall has its benefits right?

Y/N: Need something on the top shelf? I'm your go to person.

Student A: I heard your gonna preform on stage on the last day of the festival with Peaky P-Key.

Y/N: That's right, you girls gonna attend?

Student B: Of course we are! We are like the biggest Peaky P-key Fans!

Y/N: Then I'll see you girls at the concert then.

Student A: Bye L/N-san!

As I made my way towards the gymnasium, I saw Rei and Noa's class setting up a Traditional Tea House

Class 1-C "Meiji Era Tea House"

Noa: Hello there cutie.

Rei: Hello Y/N, did you come to see our tea house?

Y/N: Hey girls, I was passing by when I saw your classes exhibit.

Noa: Would you like to do a taste test of traditional tea and sweets?

Y/N: Yeah, I would love too.

I was seated on a tatami mat floor with a classroom converted into an old Japanese style home. Rei sat across from me preparing the tea using traditional tea ceremony practices, while Noa placed a plate of Dorayaki in-front of me.

(Dorayaki: Two pancake like patties made from Castella filled with sweet bean paste)

Y/N: Say, are these from Fukushima Sweet Shop?

Noa: Yes, How did you know?

Y/N: I can taste the cane sugar your father uses instead of your average table sugar.

Noa: Good for you Y/N, you must have a well developed pallet.

Y/N: Thanks...I guess.

Rei: Here you are Y/N, traditional green tea from Shizuoka Prefecture.

Y/N: Wow, you went all out on the tea leaves. How did you pay for these?

Rei: Our class spent a lot of our funds on the leaves itself, and the sweet are free of charge thanks to Noa-san.

Noa: Now then, say ah Y/N.

After enjoying a nice cup of tea and sweets Noa tried feeding me herself, I went inside the gym to find Ibuki and Yuka setting up an open play area.

Y/N: Hey you two, setting up an open gym?

Ibuki: Ah hello Y/N, to answer your question yes we are.

Yuka: We've got basketball, soccer, football, tennis and badminton. The pool of off limits though.

Y/N: Football eh? Mind if I throw and one of you catch?

Yuka: That sounds like fun, I'll catch first.

Ibuki: You know how to play quarterback Y/N?

Y/N: I used to play and watch a lot.

Yuka: Ready when you are!

Ibuki: Snap and I'll toss you the ball.

(Snap: In football a snap is a certain word combination the QB yells before he gets the ball. Example: Green 19 or 180 Set)

Y/N: BLUE 80 WIDE SET! *throws a spiral towards Yuka*

As I threw a spiral at Yuka, she catches the ball perfectly and ran towards the end of the gym.

Ibuki: That was an impressive throw.

Y/N: Early on I should have worked to become a football player.

Yuka: That was really fun, your turn Ibuki.

Ibuki: Alright, let me get set.

I threw the football around with Ibuki and Yuka for about 10 minutes until they had to continue setting up the gym. I then decided to take a rest inside P-Key's studio room. Upon entering I was met by a certain pink haired DJ. 

Shinobu: Oh, it's you...

Y/N: I have a name you know.

Shinobu: I know, I just choose not to use it.

Y/N: We're teammates now, at least try to like me.

Shinobu: Look, your alright. Is that good enough for you?

Y/N: Is there anything I can possibly do to earn your respect?

Shinobu: Just don't disappoint us okay? However, l still have some reservations about you.

Y/N: I don't plan on disappointing anyone.

Shinobu: Remember we're not NOVA.

Y/N: You keep mentioning them.

Shinobu: They were a paragon of the perfect DJs, the way they preform inspired many.

Y/N: Then you must be "that" fan I met those years ago.

Shinobu: So you've finally figured it out.

Y/N: You asked me on how to be successful. Therefore, I my advice reached you, if you agreed to create Peaky P-key with Kyoko.

Shinobu: You've gave the inspiration to become a DJ, it broke my heart when you left.

Y/N: I didn't know you felt that way, but it's all in the past now...

Shinobu: Look...just take care of Kyoko okay? She's the person who care about the most, so please don't make her sad. I trust you can do that for me?

Y/N: Does that mean you wanna start over?

Shinobu: Yeah...let's help Kyoko reach the place she always dreamed of. *shakes my hand*

Y/N: You can count on me.

Shinobu: A shame though, I once was in love with you all those years ago...

Y/N: Wait...what did you say?

Shinobu: Oh, it's nothing. See you later.

As Shinobu left then room, I feel a tinge of regret leaving NOVA. Shinobu must've have been crushed when her idol stops doing the thing she really enjoys. On the bright side we started to become real friends. Deep in thought, I heard the doorknob turning.

Kyoko: Knew I'd fine you here. *kisses my lips*

Y/N: Hey Kyoko, what's up?

Kyoko: Nothing much, I've heard everything you and Shinobu talked about in there.

Y/N: Oh? Is that so.

Kyoko: I'm really glad that you and Shinobu are starting to get along.

Y/N: Yeah, she's may have her moments but she's the most talented DJ I've ever met.

Kyoko: Haha, That's our Shinobu.

Y/N: So what now?

Kyoko: Let's take a walk.

Y/N: Sure, lead the way.

Kyoko: Have you checked some of the classes?

Y/N: I visited the Tea House and the Open Gym.

Kyoko: That's great to hear, I'm super excited for tomorrow!

Y/N: Yup, I got a text from Rika that her unit will be at attendance, so will RONDO.

Kyoko: Even better! Hopefully they'll sick around for your debut.

Y/N: Can't wait to be on stage again...

Kyoko: Fufu...I love you. *look into my eyes*

Y/N: And I really love you Kyoko.

As we went our separate ways and made our way home. I walked inside my house only to find Saki waiting for me in the living room.

Saki: Y/N, can we have a serious conversation?

Y/N: Of course, what's on your mind?

Saki: Are you going to tell me to move out?

Y/N: Why would I do that for?

Saki: Your now dating Yamate-san, so that means you don't want me here anymore. *tears up*

Y/N: That's not true, I've been enjoying having you live with me. So please don't cry.

Saki: You would have me live here, even though your in a relationship with another girl?

Y/N: Of course. I would never tell you to leave Saki, your a really important friend to me.

Saki: Your such a honest person, who deserves the upmost respect.

Y/N: Oh no I'm a bad person, but thanks for the encouragement.

Saki: Wherever you go in life, I'll always be by your side.

Y/N: Are you sure your ok with how things are?

Saki: Yeah, but I still wish you chose me.

Y/N: Maybe in the next life. *pulls Saki into a tight hug*

While in my comforting embrace, Saki continues to cry into my shoulder while some thoughts flooded into my subconscious. I felt like l owed Saki, she and I lived with each other for almost a year now. We made plenty of unforgettable memories together and throughout the little time she was here, I never seen such a beautiful smile.

The Next Day: 9:30am
Cultural Festival

As P-Key and I walked around the school displaying their attractions to the guest that came to check out our school. Esora suggested we go around and sample the various dishes served by students. In classic JRPG fashion, I went around and interacted with all my unit members.

I tasted savory Sweet Potatoes Fries with Yuka, delectable Eclairs with Esora, and even ate at a student run burger shop with Kyoko. Lastly, Shinobu was inside a classroom turned sandwich store.

Y/N: Hey Shinobu, thinking about getting a sandwich?

Shinobu: Hey...Y/N, and yes I was going to get a egg salad sandwich...shoot I don't have enough coins.

Y/N: If you don't have enough let me spot you.

Shinobu: You don't have to do that.

Y/N: Please, I insist. Two egg sandwiches.

Energetic Clerk: Coming right up!

Shinobu: Thanks for paying for me. I don't wish to rack up any debts for myself so I'll pay for something you want.

Y/N: Okay then, I'll let you know if anything catches my eye.

Shinobu: Hey Y/N. *grabs my wrist*

Y/N: What's on your mind?

Shinobu: Listen...I want to formally apologize for the I treated you. I thought of you as an intruder to our units bond. Now since Kyoko trusts you, therefore I should trust you...I hope you can forgive me for causing you so much grief.

Y/N: You essentially apologized yesterday, that was more than enough for me.

Shinobu: Still, I was in the wrong. Please forgive my arrogance.

Y/N: That's okay Shinobu, I never once held any of that against you. Apology accepted.

Shinobu: Then let's head back to the others Y/N.

Y/N: You go on ahead, I'll meet up with you girls a little later.

Shinobu: Alright, I'll see you later.

Coming across a classroom converted into a cat cafe, I saw two girls with silver and brunette hair. The silver haired girl seems to be more invested in the cafe, which made the brunette take many pictures of her. They soon notice me and the girls eyes lit up.

Silver haired girl: Y-Y/N is that you?

Y/N: H-huh? How do you know my name?

Brunette girl: Wait a sec. I think you got the wrong guy, this one has a very different vibe than the person we know.

Silver haired girl: Oh, I'm sorry I mistook you for someone else.

Y/N: No it's cool, maybe the person you know some how has the same name and looks as me.

Brunette girl: Yeah, the looks are very uncanny and your name is Y/N?

Y/N: That's the name my parents gave me.

Silver haired girl: The boy we're taking about was our childhood friend. The way he sung was like Music from the Heart.

Y/N: Is that so? He must have been a incredible person. Where is he nowadays?

Brunette girl: He went back to his hometown, but he hasn't contacted us since then.

Y/N: I bet he'll message you girls soon.

Silver haired girl: Yeah, I hope so too.

Y/N: Say are those Haneoka uniforms?

Brunette: Yeah we attend that school on the other side of the river.

Y/N: Ahh that's pretty cool, anyways I should be elsewhere right now.

Silver haired girl: Yes, don't let us stop you.

Brunette: All the best to you.

After the conversation I had with the two Haneoka students, I ran into Saki who lead me to the garden where the rest of the Yoba DJs were meeting.

Ibuki: Y/N! We have a plan!

Y/N: Oh? Do tell this plan of yours.

Rinku: We want to preform a collaboration with Photon Maiden.

Towa: All we need is you to create a song.

Y/N: Okay, who's gonna be preforming?

Shinobu: Me, Maho, and Photon Maiden.

Kyoko: I nominated my Shinobu for this show!

Shinobu: What do you mean by "my".

Rinku: And I nominated Maho of course!

Yuka: You have a lot of work to do Y/N, let us know if you need assistance.

Esora: How much time do you need to create a song Y/N?

Y/N: Actually I had a song I made back when I was with NOVA, but we never preformed it.

Saki: What was it called?

Y/N: The song was called: A Lot of Life.

Ibuki: Hmm seems fitting for Photon Maiden.

Y/N: Here's the music file and lyrics. The track is already pre-mixed.

Ibuki: We have 5 hours to practice.

Y/N: So I suggest you hop to it girls.

Towa: You sound like our manager again Y/N.

Noa: Tell us what to do and we'll follow!

Y/N: Shinobu, Maho will handle most of the music. Ibuki, Towa and Noa will do the dancing. Lastly, Saki your on vocals.

As the performers got to work practicing, I went out to take a walk and maybe perhaps buy a drink. While walking with remaining Hapi Ara and P-key, they asked about the song that I wrote sometime ago.

Kyoko: So where the inspiration of your song came from?

Y/N: Back when I was with NOVA, we all went to a planetarium and saw the various things that were displayed. I soon realized how vast the universe was and the life that inhabits it.

Rinku: Sounds easy for you to come up with song ideas Y/N.

Rei: Yes, I find your intuition impressive.

Esora: Totally second that!

Y/N: It's no big deal, I'm not some sort of genius of anything.

Kyoko: That's my Y/N, always humble.

Rinku: Oh, I forgot that you two are dating...

Yuka: Yeah, they are so cute together.

Muni: Well, isn't he a lucky boy...

Rei: I always thought he would be with Saki-chan.

Rinku: Yeah, me too.

Time Skip: 5:00pm
Yoba Stage

As students filled the venue, I went to check on the girls in the back room. As I entered I noticed that no one is wearing any costumes.

Y/N: You girls plan on preforming in you school uniforms?

Ibuki: We actually forgot our costumes in our studio rooms.

Shinobu: Can't be helped, we're here now.

Towa: Oh I can't wait to preform this song!

Maho: Same here, this one is for you Y/N.

Saki: Wish us luck Y/N.

Y/N: I will, me and rest will be the overhead seats.

Making my way towards the area where he rest were seated, the lights dimmed in the room indicating that the performance was about to begin. As the song began to play, the memories I made with my former unit members flashed back into my head.

Y/N's Flashbacks

I remembered when I first met my unit members at the talent agency where we all started our journey. The beginning was tough for all of us, we even clashed with each other at first. When it came time for our first show, we didn't feel very confident soon our nervousness turned into confidence as the crowd cheered our name.

After our first show we began a campaign that put our names into the history books.

Hakuro and I would go restaurant hopping in whichever city we preformed at, go on fishing trips or go camping in the woods together.

Futaba would drag me to go shopping for new clothes every time she sees a mall or shopping street. We would buy crepes and various sweets to enjoy while walking through colorful festival streets.

Lastly Sakura was the closet person to me in NOVA. She always loved to visit the local hospital and volunteer to sing for the children in the sick kids ward. She was also a huge fan of going to a parlor where you take photos in a wedding dress along with me in a tuxedo.

Near the end of the song, I pulled out a group photo of my old unit just before we went out separate ways as a few tears dropped onto the photograph. As I looked up at the stage a see my old members preforming on stage in place of Saki, Ibuki, Towa, and Noa. Knowing they would always be proud to have formed NOVA, I took one last look at the photo and whispered "Thank You for all the memories, what can I say? You three were the best".

As song finished and the crowd started to clap, I felt Kyoko's hand on my shoulder to which I turn to face her. With a calming smile she said "Even if your all separated, you will all still be the unit known as NOVA".

Kyoko's word filled my heart with joy as I looked at the stage. I miss them everyday, they were the ones I opened my heart too. If we had a little more patience and the agency more flexible, we would be world famous...but in that world I wouldn't be able to meet the amazing people I know today.
