"Guess what!" Kiba yelled. "Hm?" I said as I sat down in my seat next to Temari.

"Ino said she got us a gig for the Valentine's dance" he finished. "Wait does that mean we don't get to actually party?" I sighed.

"Nope we only get to sing one song that was the agreement they already bought a DJ so one song then we can party" he said pumping his fist in the air.

Temari slammed her face on the table. "Dammit that means I have to dance with Shikamaru" she groaned. We sweatdropped and class soon started.

In the hallways Ino came up to me. "Sakura I need you help!" I stopped and looked at her. "Calm down pig what's up?" I asked. She handed me a notebook her face flushed.

"i-I wrote a song for the Valentine's dance and I want you to sing it and say I wrote it and I making it out to Sai" she said quickly.

I read through it and nodded. "These are some good lyrics" I said. "So who's Sai?" I asked.

"A really nice guy I like in my class" I nodded and smirked. "Pig has a crush" I singed teasefully.

"Save your voice for the dance" she shoved my shoulder. I stuck my tongue out and winked and ran off before she could hit me.

After the next class I decided to see Sauske since he had a class with Ino and Sai.

I found him stalking the halls girls trying to flirt with him. I laughed at how he was annoyed by it.

"Hey sauske I need a quick question" I said walking next to him. "Shoot" he said in a bored voice. "Do you know how Ino started to like Sai you had class together" I questioned. He thought and then nodded. 

"Yeah they we're partners for some project and he called her beautiful I would think thats when she developed a crush" he finshed.

I gushed "I totally ship them!" he rolled his eyes and Karin came. "Oh it's my replacement" she started.

I glared but she ignored me. "Oh Sauske the Valentine's dance is coming up we have to go together" she said holding his arm.

He pushed her off. "Actully I um have a date" he lied I could tell. "Oh really then who?" she said crossing her arms.

"Um its uh Sakura" he said wrapping a hand around my waste pulling me closer I kept my hands crossed but blushed.

She gasped and glared daggers at me. "Don't get so full of yourself!" she screamed and stalked off. "Well guess your going to have to be my date" he smirked. I groaned "seriously?" he nodded and I sighed.

"Fine but you owe me" after that I walked away giving him a goodbye.

On the day of the dance we set up the stage and I could see Ino nervous. I patted her shoulder. "Don't worry Ino everything's going to be okay" she nodded and sat on her drum seat.

I took center and people began to gather around. Before we began I spoke. "So our fantastic drummer Ino has wrote this song and-" I was cut off by a scream in the crowd "see she has to get her band mates to write songs for her!" I could tell that was Karin. My eye twitched but I continued.

"And she wants to dedicate it to her crush Sai!" I could see him in the crowd and could see his blush.

I smirked and began to sing as Shikamaru started the beat.

When I was younger I saw my daddy cry and curse at the wind he broke his own heart and I watched as he tried to reassemble it

So far the song was going great and I could tell Sai was paying attention to the lyrics.

And my mama swore that she would never let herself forget and that was the day that I promised I'd never sing of love if it does not exist

I smiled as I began to sing the coures while in the cornor of my eye Karin sat angrily.

I swayed my hips to the slow beat and watched as couple danced to the song.

Well maybe I know somwhere deep in my soul that love never lasts and we've got to find other ways to make it alone but keep a straight face

It amazed me at how Ino could come up with such great lyrics. We should do a collab.

And I've always lived like this keeping it comfortable distance and up until know I swore to myself that I'm content with loneliness becuase non of it was ever worth the risk

The song picked up a bit before returing to a slow steady beat. It felt calm.

I got ready for the faster part as ino and temari did instrumental.

I've got a tight grip on reality but I can't let go of what's the point of me here I know you'll leave me in the morning when you wake up leave me with some kind of proff that's not a dream oh

I poured passion into it as it slowed down again.

I enjoyed Ino's drum part she hit everything at the right time and didn't have any flaw. She really was getting into it

We finished and got our usual applause and we did a kind of bow and left the stage gathering our things.

Ino's face was flushed. "What if he thinks I'm a total weirdo for writing a song about him what if-" I shushed her as temari laughed. "Calm down Ino come on let's change into our dresses" she said sort of disguested to have to put on a dress.

We each went to the restrooms and got changed and Ino and Temari straightened their hair while I got it curled. Ino had brought her supplies.

We got out and searched for the guys. I smiled when I saw Ino blushing while talking to Sai. Temari danced with Shikamaru who for once actually put effort into something.

While I had been watching I felt someone pulled me to them. I looked up to see Sauske smiling down at me. I blushed a bit but shook it off. "Come on we have to dance" he said. "I didn't take you as the dancing type" I replied.

"Well you don't know too well do you" I rolled my eyes as we danced. There was a moment are heads leaned in the slightest when Naruto and kiba came up to us.

"GUYS THE PUNCH IS FUCKING AWESOME!" he screamed kiba laughing while he whispered to us "he doesn't know I put booze in the punch" we sweatdropped as they ran off.

The rest of the night wasn't romantic but it was fun. Although I can't say I hadn't wanted it to be.

Okay maybe I wanted a bit of romance.

Maybe.
