Chapter 2
Chapter 2
Family Issues
"Tina?" Rosemary said, with a hint of anxiousness in her voice. Tina turned to her. "Yes, Ms. Graves. Your father has been so worried finding you."
She then turned to Newt. "And who are you?" asked Tina to him, who had a anxious look plastered on his face.
"Newt Scamander." He introduced quickly. "Rose!" She heard a familiar sound. Alexander.
She turned to see him running to her with worry visible in his face. "Rose, I was worried! I couldn't find you amidst the No-Maj crowd." He hesitated when he saw Tina and Newt staring at him. He looked embarrassed. "Sorry."
"Mr. Scamander, did you Obliviate the No-Maj?" She asked. Newt had a confused look on his pale face.
"No-Maj. No magic! Non-wizard!" She raised her hands as if Newt was supposed to know, even if she knew he is foreign.
Newt's face fell and he kept quiet. Silence fell beneath the three of them.
Tina took the silence to speak. "Mr. Scamander, I would have to take you to the American Ministry of Magic." She grabbed his arm. But Rosemary intervened.
"Tina.." She started but Tina gestured her to stop. "Ms. Graves, I know that you don't want to either, but I have to bring you back to your father." She said, with an obvious sigh in her voice, though it is well hidden.
Rosemary opened her mouth in protest, but clamped it shut again. She knew that she couldn't argue.
After all, her father was gonna punish for her behavior anyways.

They all entered the home of American wizards, otherwise known as the place of the American Ministry of Magic.
Newt's face was filled in wonder, mixed with delight and awe. Rosemary grinned from ear to ear at his sudden childish joy he felt.
"Come on!" Tina hissed as Alex held the hand of Rosemary (was it a blush she saw on his face?) and walked her towards the elevator.
"Goldstein..." The house elf hissed with a grin on his sloppy and smelly face as he saw Tina. He then faced you, and his face changed into a whole new different kind of emotion, also known as the flirty smile.
"Ms. Graves... Such a pleasure.." He gave her a toothed grin, which made Rosemary wrinkle her nose. Newt shifted uncomfortably.
"Just bring us to the investigation team." Tina interrupted with a sigh. The house elf just grunted and the elevator doors closed.
•~•
There was an uncomfortable silence that fell upon the three of them. Alex has already left to see to it that his Auror duties were all completed.
"So..." Tina trailed off. Rosemary leaned against the elevator's wall. Newt just stood there, with his gaze downwards and staying awfully quiet.
Suddenly, the elevator rumbled and Rosemary was shaken and accidentally fell onto Newt's arms, who awkwardly held her. "Careful." He said, with his adorable thick accent that Rosemary liked to hear.
She turned pink. "Sorry." She murmured and stood up straight. The doors opened to show President Picquery and the investigation team discussing matters.
With her father there.
Rosemary's blood suddenly stopped, and she felt cold all over. Newt awkwardly bit his lip, and gripped the case to himself.
The president stared at the newcomers with a suspicious look, which was also filled with disappointment when she saw Rosemary.
Percival, her father, then looked at Rosemary. "Rose?" Rosemary bit her lip and gave a slight nod at her father.
"Pardon me, president." Tina started but Picquery has already crossed her arms together. "Ms. Goldstein, you very much know that you aren't allowed in here, right?" She shook her head.
President Picquery then turned to Rosemary, and she stood still. "As for you, Ms. Graves. I expect much from you." She said, her voice fills with disappointment with Rosemary.
She ducked her head low. "Yes, Madam President." Rosemary whispered softly. "Madam President, this man, Mr. Newt Scamander, has set out one of his creature from that case," Tina pointed at the suitcase that Newt gripped.
"And has caused quite a mess back in the bank." Tina finished. The president seemed to give a soft sigh. "Ms. Goldstein, you know that you are no longer part of the investigation team, am I correct?" Picquery said sternly.
Tina stopped talking, and she bowed he head low. "Yes, Madam President but-" She was cut off by the waving of hand of the president. "Then please go out, Ms. Goldstein." The president said.
With a look of defeat present on her face, Tina bowed her head. "Yes, madam president." She said quietly, and headed for the exit.
Rosemary followed her, and didn't acknowledge her father as she left the room with Newt.
•~•
"Mr. Scamander, do you have a wand permit?" Tina asked the man, as Rosemary played around with her wand, uttering "Lumos" when she encountered a dark place.
"I.. I had a post application." replied Newt with a stutter, as he still held his case with him, very close.
"Tina? Tina!" She suddenly ducked behind the table. Rosemary turned to see an Auror-in-charge, who she forgot his name was, called out.
Tina slowly came out of the desk, with a haunted expression on her face. The man sighed. "Tina, did you interrupt the investigation team's discussion again?" He said, his voice with a hint of anger and fury. Tina didn't respond.
Then Alex came in, along with Rosemary's father Percival Graves. A groan escaped from her lips before she could stop herself.
Luckily, he didn't hear Rosemary. "Tina, it seems like you wanted to say something a while ago. Mind if you tell me now?" He asked her.
Tina nodded and gestured to Newt. "This is Mr. Newt Scamander, and one of the creatures from his case, has escaped." Tina explained, with her eyebrows creased.
Graves held out his hand. "May I see?" He asked, then used his wand to get the suitcase from Newt, who obviously showed an unhappy frown.
They brought it and placed it on a table, as Tina gave out a deep breath, and unlocked the suitcase.
Inside were pastries, of different flavors, and different sizes. They looked appetizing, except for the fact that Newt's eyes widened in horror.
Rosemary turned to Newt. "The muggle.." She trailed off, and Newt nodded. Tina gave them a raised brow. "What's a muggle? And what about it?" She asked, confusion filled in her eyes.
"Muggle equals No-Maj, and Newt's suitcase is with him." Rosemary whispered in horror, a haunted expression filling her eyes.
And that's for today! I'm quite happy that we have half-day classes today, but due to some protests and rallies going on. But at least I get to write 😁. Vote and comment guys! I'm so surprised when I already got 38 reads on my first day.
