"We have heard of a hybrid but we thought it was a myth"
Namjoon says as he takes a drink of his iced coffee.

We are all sitting in the yard since namjoon is still hesitant to let them inside.

"Tell me about how this happened"

"When my mom was pregnant with me our pack was attacked. She was bitten by a vampire and pretty bad. They said she wouldn't survive, with my mom being human and all. My dad tried to turn her into a werewolf to save her but it only made it worse. In a last ditch effort he forced one of the vampires attacking us to change her. She died but my father took me out of her thinking I was just half werewolf and human. Until I needed to feed. Then he knew. My dad always treated me like his son. But deep down I felt like he blamed me for killing his mate. It wasn't till I hit puberty that we realized I could also shift into a wolf."

"So your a bloodthirsty werewolf, great!" Jungkook says rolling his eyes.

I nudge him. "Be nice"
He deadpans at me then jake continues.

"With me being a hybrid it's always put a target on my packs back. Werewolves hated us and so did vampires. Last year our pack was attacked by vampires. They took them all out."
He says with his head hung low.

"Where were you?" Namjoon asks

"Camp" my father sent me away to a camp to hone my skills. They attacked when I was away knowing they would be venerable without me. My sister was away at college."

"So what are your gifts?"

"Gifts?" I ask namjoon. "He told you his pack dies and you want gifts?" Everyone laughs, jimin laughs so hard he falls out if his chair.

"Not those gifts, abilities. Each supernatural has them" I look over at jungkook.

You already know my gifts

He says mind linking with me.

"I have super strength" namjoon says
"I can move objects with my mind" Jin says

"Astral projection i can leave my body" jimin says

"I have super speed reflexes" hobi says

"I can breath under water" taehyung says

"I can project the future" yoongi says winking at Sora

"I can levitate objects" sora says

"I have super human strength and can manipulate minds" Jake says

"That's dangerous" namjoon says.

"True but I only use it in battle or when I really have to" He says.

"I'm hesitant about letting you stay here given the circumstances, so for now you can sleep in the guest house with your sister. Cross me and you will pay"

Namjoon says sternly.

"Yes sir, thank you sir. My father said you were a great man"

"Well your father was great too. Im sorry for your loss"
Namjoon says sadly. He walks into the house and we follow him.

We sit around the living room talking until we see jimin and yoongi leave. Namjoon shakes his head chuckling.

"What?" I ask him.

"They just found their mate. Sora"

"Really how can you tell?" I ask

"They were practically eye fucking her across the table" hobi says laughing.

"So they are both her mates?" I ask confused.

"I've never seen it, but it doesn't mean it couldn't happen."

Just then kin walks in with a sad look. Walking past us.
"Dinners ready"

I watch as he walks down the hall away from the kitchen.

"Come on baby" jungkook says helping me up. I kiss him on the cheek. I'll be right there, just give me a minute"

I walk down the hall to Jin's room and knock.

"Come in"

I open the door to see Jin laying in bed. His arm covering his eyes.

"Jin are you ok?" I ask him sitting on the side of the bed.

"I don't get how yoongi gets two mates and I have none. I mean I'm happy for him but. Ugh, I guess I just miss her. I feel like half of me is always missing" He says.

I lay down in the bed next to him and hug him. He seems shocked at first but then hugs me back.

"I'm so sorry Jinnie. Wanna talk about it?" We lay in silence for a bit. Till he opens up.

"Yoongi told her not to go. He knew something was wrong. But I was confident nothing would ever take her from me.
Juliette was her name. She was gorgeous, sexy, funny, and laughed at all my jokes."

"Well I'm sure one day you will get a new mate. It's been 9 years, and you deserve to be happy jin"

I hug him again before I get up and pull him up. "Come on let's eat" He chuckles then follows me to the kitchen.

We sit around the table eating dinner and talking. Jin's telling dad jokes while namjoon and kira discuss their wedding plans.

This is the family I always wanted. And actual family that's not dysfunctional or toxic. I love my mother, but ever since my stepfather came along she's been a different person. I dont really blame her though. She was only 14 when she had me.

I really should call her.

After dinner i go to my room and call my mom. It rings a few times before she picks up.

"Hello, Layla. Is that you?"

"Yeah mom. Hi"

"Hi sweetheart I miss you. You should come home." She says slightly worried.

"I told you I'm not coming back if Lance is still there"

"Well he's not"

"He isn't?" I ask confused

"No. He hasn't been back since that night at the diner. He dropped me off at home and said he was going to bring you home. He never came back"

I think about that night.

We ginished talking. She told me she would come visit since I'm still not comfortable going home yet.

I hang up with her and make my way to jungkooks room. I see him throeing a baseball at the ceiling and catching it as it falls.

I take off my clothes and slip on one of jungkooks shirts letting it swim on me.

"Why do you want him to stay here why do you trust him?" He says still tossing the ball. I walk to the bathroom and grab my tooth brush to brush my teeth as I respond.

"Why not, just because he's half vampire doesn't mean he's a threat"

He stops throwing the ball and sits up off the side of the bed facing me.

"Yes it does. It means just that layla. And for the record I told Christopher you quit"

I spit the toothpaste out of my mouth and deadpan at him

"YOU DID WHAT?" I say as I clean the brush and put it away before walking over to him.

"Well it's dangerous, even more so now. I told him the day after the incident" he says shugging nonchalantly.

"So that explains why I haven't been scheduled. Seriously kook"

I stand above Hi with y hands on my hips.

He pulls me into him kissing my stomach.
"Baby, how else am I going to protect you. If anything happened to you I couldn't live with myself"

"But that was my decision kookie, don't you think you should have asked me first"

He scoffs

"What?" I say pulling away to look at him.

"Don't you think you should have asked me before you invited a fucking hybrid to my house?"

"You're house? Just your house?"
I say pulling away. I look down at him waiting for him yo respond but he doesn't.

"Fine, I'll leave tomorrow. Goodight jungkook" I say before turning on my heel and walking out.

I go to sleep in my room. Thinking about it all, and he's right I shouldn't have invited complete strangers over to stay with us. But he had no right to make me quit my job.

For a couple that can mind link, we sure suck at communicating.

I roll over to get some sleep.

Later in the night I find jungkook cuddled up at the end of my bed in his wolf form.

I pet his head and he moves up next to me and lick my face.

"I'm sorry baby, please don't go." He says mind linking to me.

I pet him again, stocking his head

"I'm sorry too. Let's not fight no more, ok?" He nods then I curl up into his fur and fall back asleep.
