I'm going back to like, 2,000+ words.

Every chapter I make, it ends up being longer and longer, so if I don't make it longer, it feels like it's not enough, so there going to be shorter for a few reasons.

1. Smaller chapters are easier to manage and edit.

2. Shorter chapters means frequent chapters.

3. Being in the mindset that I need to make every chapter bigger isn't healthy.

So that's the plan.

Now back to your irregularly scheduled program.

Tokoyami's quirk had evolved, getting OFA will do that to ya.

Basically, these are new abilities:

-Enhanced strength:
This mostly affects Darkshadow, though can be used by itself.

-Shadow send:
Tokoyami can send Darkshadow anywhere he can see or visualize, which can be used for reconnaissance.

Day Before Exams

"Do you want to grab some drinks?" I asked, seeing how hot Fumikage looked.

"Yeah" was all he could manage.

While Tokoyami was making his way up the stairs, Izuku looked out at the ocean.

It was finally clear, All Might came by earlier to say how proud he was of the raven haired teen for not giving up.

Turning around, I decided that I didn't want to fall behind.

After walking for a tiring minute and a half, we arrived at a vending machine.

"I'm really glad these are pretty much everywhere in Japan." Tokoyami said after getting a cold water to hydrate.

"Yeah, it's really convenient to just grab a drink on the go, especially if it's late." Izuku said as he bought a green tea from the machine, grabbing it from the opening door.

The two ended up walking back to the beach to enjoy the view.

Izuku sat on top of the concrete wall that separated the beach from the city,  while Tokoyami had stood awkwardly for a second before joining Ogami, sitting next to him.

'C'mon, it's only Izuku, you know, your friend since childhood.'

Tokoyami was having the same strange feelings of Izuku every since he had been hugged by him, the way he for perfectly in Izuku's arms stirred something deep within him.

That day on the beach when Ogami had tackled him and held Tokoyami closer than anyone had ever held him before, besides his parents.

It was almost to much for the poor guy.

"This is beautiful"

"Er- what?" Tokoyami asked, as he was stuck in his head.

Then he like to where Izuku was looking to see that he was talking about the beach.

"Oh yeah. I'm really glad All Might decided to make me do this for training."

"Are you sure, because I seem to remember the first week you talked about the awful soreness of your muscles." Izuku said with sass.

"Uh-hey that's not fair, I wasn't used to pushing my body that hard, and besides, you and All Might would regularly try to pull sneak attacks on me." Tokoyami argued only for Ogami to laugh a little at his friends antics.

'Shit, even his laugh is sexy'

It was shortly after that thought of Tokoyami's that Izuku could smell something in the air.

It smelled like roses and blackberry, the scent belonged to his friend.

Since Izuku was alone with Tokoyami at the beach, he was in his wolf form, which allowed him to have the qualities of a wolf on steroids.

And right now, Izuku could smell the hormones coming off of his friend, which only served to make him nervous and antsy.

As the sun started to set, they watched the sunset together.

Tokoyami glanced over at Izuku, admiring his physic, how strong he looked, how the wind blew his cheek and neck fur, how much he wanted to feel the warmth of his embrace again.

He ended up turning to face the sunset the same time that Izuku had turned his attention to his friend.

Izuku looked at how the muscle shirt clung to his chest, how his leggings hugged his hips perfectly, the softness of his face. His ruby red eyes out-shining the sun.

'Ok, ok. How is Fumikage literally perfect in every sense of the word. Stop, talk about something else, talk about-'

"So, are you ready for the exam tomorrow?" Tokoyami asked.

'Dammit, I was just about to say that'

"I'll be ready, I've been training ever since I was a kid, but I also know to never underestimate my enemy"

"I get what your saying, underestimating your enemy could result in your defeat. We've trained hard to get to this point, but I'm still nervous" Tokoyami said as he subtly scooted closer to Ogami.

"Don't be, even I'm a little nervous" Izuku said, realising his friend was inching closer but not saying anything.

"What? You, nervous? That's preposterous, you're more prepared to be a hero than anybody else going to UA" he said incredulously.

"Just because I've trained for something my while life doesn't mean I'll ever be 100% ready for anything, I'll always be nervous. It's our jobs as future hero's to put our issues and fears aside and fight for the weak and oppressed, to make sure that what happened to us never happens to anyone else"

...

"Sorry, was that a little to serious?" Izuku asked feeling that his little speech might have been to much.

"I think it's the right amount of seriousness. Anyway, we should probably head home to get some rest for tomorrow" Tokoyami suggested before hopping off of the

"Hm, that sounds like a good idea, oh hey, one more thing"

Fumikage stopped to turn and face his friend.

"Forget me"

...

"What...?"

"Sorry, that didn't make sense, what I mean is to pretend you don't know me when we get to UA."

Fumikage stood still with a weird look on his face before replying.

"Why?"

"Well, when I take my first step past the gate, I'm going to transform into my beast form, so the students are probably going to have a negative opinion, which in turn can cast you in a bad light, that and it'll be fun to mess with them"

If Tokoyami was originally against the idea of having to pretend he never meet his best friend currently crush, he was now completely on board.

They said their goodbyes and went home.

It was certainly going to be an interesting experience.

Exam Day

*Beep-beep-be-tap*

*yawn

Izuku sat up in his bed and rubbed some of his remaining sleep out of his eyes.

Glancing at his phone to check the time, he was temporarily blinded by the thing. After recovering his eyesight, he saw that the time read 6:15 am.

Exams would start at 8:00, giving Izuku plenty of time to get ready for the day.

Pov change:

Getting out of bed was always the worst, the child morning air threatening the warmth and comfort of the blankets.

But it was something I was used to as a morning person.

Sitting up, I turned my legs to fall to the ground while I was still sitting on the bed. Now standing, I made my way to the showers, completely aware that my body was completely free of any article of clothing.

It was just more comfortable to sleep that way, considering I had fur to keep me warm.

After making my way into the bathroom, and past my reflection, I stepped under the shower and turned the water on, immediately cursing myself for not waiting for it to warm up a little before plunging my body into ice cold temperatures.

My body was shaking under the frigid temperature, but slowly adjusted to the cold.

After lathering my fur with shampoo and conditioner, I washed off and turned the shower off.

Before stepping out though, I made sure to give myself a thorough shake to get most of the water off, it was a great fear of mine that Toko would see this one day and laugh at me for being such a dog.

Drying off thoroughly, I ate a healthy breakfast, grabbed my wallet and phone before realising that I didn't have any pockets because I was still very much naked.

"Well, that could have been a disaster" I said to no one in particular.

After getting some actual clothes on, I made sure to grab my wallet and phone after setting them down on the table.

After all that mess, I made my way to exit my secure safe house.

Making sure no one was nearby the tunnel, I morphed into my human form and excited the secret passage.

So there I was, walking to UA for the entrance exams, technically, I was already a student since my position was already set, but I still wanted to go so I could see how the others do.

And to give Toko some moral support.

"Here it is, my probably 126th step in my journey to become a hero" I said to myself as I stood just outside of the gates of UA.

People were starting to look at me strangely, some recognizing me as the guy who apprehended the sludge villain, and others because of the fact that I was wearing black military pants, a black muscle shirt, gloves, and a tan trench coat, as well as the collar that rested on my neck as always.

I inhaled, then exhaled.

*Woosh

My body completely morphed to that of my wolf as I stepped past the gate.

The change in atmosphere was immediate, almost everyone in the immediate vicinity turned from exited and nervous, to pissed and confused as to why I was here.

"What the hell is damn beastman scum here?"

"Scumbag"

"Does he really think he can be a hero?"

"Trash"

"If he sits next to me, I'm gonna lose it"

The voices were all heard, it was easy with my wild abilities, but it didn't even phase me. I had been through so much worse that this was basically nothing to me.

Upon entering the testing room, I took a moment to soak in the buildings history of past hero's to fill me with determination.

*thud

"Watch were your going shit head" some random said as they purposefully shoulder checked me.

'Hm, uncalled for, yet not totally unexpected'

I saw Present Mike standing at the podium at front, and as such, made my way to greet him and let him know where I was situated.

"Uh, hello fellow listener, is there something you need?" The yellow haired man said to me, clearly not expecting to see a beastman in this fine day, in borderline full military attire.

"Yes, you see, I'm a recommended student, so I won't be participating in the exams. I'm simply here for moral support for a certain individual, and to see the others quirks" I said to the radio hero, possibly a little too professionally.

"Oh, um, well alright. You can stand with me on the stage while your here, but after the test I'm going to the faux city to announce, but you can go to the observers room with the other teachers" he said, getting out of his stupor.

"Thank you" I said bowing my head.

And so I stood next to Mike as the rest of the possibly future students of UA walked through the doors.

As I was walking through the school gates, I could over hear passing conversation about a certain beastman that walked into UA like he owned the place, and all the derogatory words they were calling him made my blood boil, but before I did anything rash, Darkshadow showed up on my shoulder in a small form and shook his head.

Calming down, I simply walked past the small group of filthy degenerates and into the exam room.

It was there that I felt a smile make its way on my face as I could see Izuku standing by what looked to be Present Mike, the voice hero.

I sat down at a random empty seat, and waited for what UA had in store, feeling more confident now that Izuku was here.

'...Roses and BlackBerry, you're here now, I'm glad'

Present Mike had just walked up to explain the physical exam, when some prick with a crappy sonic cosplay decided that he would interrupt Mike as he was in the middle of explaining.

He then turned his and everyone else's attention towards me as he decided to call me out.

"And you in the trench coat, if your not going to take the exams why are you even here, it's people like you that disgrace to the worl-"

"People like me?" I said with a growl in my voice.

.....

"People like me?" The other students started to show signs of fear, except for Tokoyami, he was having a great time.

"Er, well, yes people li-"

He couldn't speak anymore, for the sonic ripoff was frozen in his seat in fear.

He wasn't talking to Izuku Ogami anymore, he was facing a wild animal.

"Don't interrupt the teacher when they are teaching, and the next time you act the way you do towards me or my people..." I left the threat open ended, making him think of what I would do to scare the shit out of him.

And from the terrified look in the guys eyes, I'd say it was a complete success.

The auditorium was dead silent.

"Uh, ok, thanks for that young man, uh, now back to the explanation" Mike picked up where he left off feeling grateful and scared at the same time.

After that, I was in a much better mood.

I was finishing putting on my hero suit, which was basically just an athletic long sleeve black shirt and black joggers among with my black boots.

"Hey, did you guys see that beastman back at the auditorium"

"Yeah, he was really creepy" the other contestants started to talk.

'Shut up. Izuku is one of the kindest people I've ever met' Tokoyami

"Yeah, like, why is he even here?"

"Right!? It's not like he can be a hero it anything"

"He's like, way to scary to be a hero kids could like"

And that was when Tokoyami, despite not being very competitive, decided that he would completely thrash the competition.

And so the other testers were sent to a bus that would transport them to the fake cities.

Upon exciting said vehicle, he walked up to the gates, where the testers awaited for further instruction.

This was the next challenge, the weight of it all was almost to much, but with Izuku in his thoughts, nothing made him fear.

And so Tokoyami waited patiently for the gates to open, so that he could show the hero's what he's got, and to prove to himself that anyone can be a hero, villainous quirk or not.
