I was in my desk doing my homework while shaking because of the person right behind me who was looking at mine and ryuko's room

"Remind me why did you want to stay here again?"I asked when I looked behind me to see the headmistress

"Well,I wanted some time to relax so I decided to stick by every weekend"she said

"Don't you think you should go with ryuko?she went out with hornet megumin and the two sisters"i said as I wanted to be alone

"But staying with you is the best,need I to remind you how a fight between goddesses nearly erupted"she said

"Yeah yeah whatever,I just don't want my family to get pulled into this"i said

"You don't show it,but you really like your family,if I don't like my family who else would I like?speaking of that,what did you and dad talk about?he looked angry when he came back

"How did you cook so fast?"he asked

I smiled as I looked at him enjoying the food I made for him as he kept asking for seconds

"So she's really your adopted daughter?"he asked me

I smiled

I'll take care of the dishes"i said picking the plates up

"Really?you're a goddess you know?"i can just take care of it"he said

"Fine then!do it on your own he said flustered as he went to the living room and turned on the television and selected a children's channel for grimm

I then started washing the dishes

I mean,she loved you more than anything,if she had to choose between you and the world she would have chosen you by a long shot"i said

He then just looked up

"We'll know when the time comes"he said

I finished cleaning the plates

"Yes,I suppose we will"i said

I then went besides him and looked closely at his face to see that he bags under his eyes

"You didn't sleep much didn't you?"I asked

"I have a literal goddess in my house how could I sleep"he said

I grabbed his head then put it in my lap

"H-HEY WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!?!"he asked frustrated

"Ssshhh,for now,consider me as your mother,now sleep,I won't let anyone disturb your sleep"she said as she started caressing his head which made him slowly fall asleep

As ryuko was coming back from her day with the other girls and they were near her house shadow met them on the way and asked

"Haven't you seen mother?I have been looking around for her for so long,maybe that Y/n knows where she is"she said

"I'll ask him and tell you"she said as she slowly opened the door only to see that the lights were off

She peaked inside and saw a heartwarming scene

Y/n was holding grimm while sleeping on the headmistress's lap who was caressing his hair while smiling,she noticed ryuko and put a finger on her mouth signaling her to stay quiet

"I'm sorry but he's asleep,I'll ask him when he wakes up"she said as the girls left

She entered her living room to see the headmistress tearing up while smiling

"Who would've thought,I missed this for 12 years"she said

"You can still make up for that time you lost

He doesn't seem like it,but he's a very lonely kid and he needs people to be with him"said ryuko

"I know,and that where my tears are coming isn't from happiness but from the guilt that I made him live without being there for him"she said with a shaking voice

",it's okay,knowing him he WILL forgive his mother"said ryuko as she sat down

The headmistress looked at Y/n sleeping on her lap

"I hope so"
