After days of the headmistress starting to live with us I started to get used to it so you can say that things are good now but for some reason hollow has been looking quite 'hollow' from a,few days ago but every time I ask him he tells me there's nothing wrong

I was next hornet in class as I asked her

"Hey hornet,didn't you notice that there was something wrong with hollow?"I asked

"Now that you mention it he did look pretty 'holl-"

"Don't finish it"i said as she looked down in disappointment as she turned back to me

"I remember seeing him go out one night after what seemed like a nightmare and when he came back he looked alerted"she said

"Quiet in the back!"shouted koro sensei as we quieted down and finished class

After class we saw hollow holding a piece of paper and walking to the reception where he put the paper there

"What could that be?"I asked

Hornet shrugged her shoulders

"I don't know,I never heard of people submitting papers to the reception"said hornet

We both started to think

"What could it be?"

"What are you doing?"asked hollow

We were startled as we both fell down as hornet fell on my back and grimm on my head

Hornet tried to recover from the situation

"We just noticed that you seemed a little gloomy so we wanted to see what was going on"asked hornet

"You could've just asked me"said hollow knight

We all face palmed,why didn't we think of that?

"Anyways I was just submitting a challenge to someone who I desperately want to beat up"he said clenching his fist

"And Who's that?"I asked

He was about to say something but hesitated as then said something different

"You'll see tomorrow"he said before he walked away

I just looked at him walking away

"Well that's new,he wants to settle grudges now"i said

"He's growing up,ever since you came to us he stopped being one of our many siblings,he somehow outshined us all,it's thanks to you"said hornet

"No it's not me

It was bound to happen someday,I just quickened the process"i said

"Guess we don't need to worry anymore"i said as we both returned to our dorm spaces

As I was asleep on top of ryuko and grimm on top of me and the headmistress who took the sofa I woke up by a disturbance

"I feel a disturbance in the void!"I said quietly as I put on my hoodie and put on some pink slippers and then headed out

As I was walking outside walking around trying to understand what was disturbing me I was starting to hear shouting

"AAAHHHH!!!

AHHHHHH

COME ON!!!"

I walked to the source of the shouting and saw it was hollow who was focusing on something

"Watcha doing?"I asked

He turned around to face me

"Y/n?sorry if I woke you up I was training for my fight of tomorrow"he said

"I didn't ask you why you were doing it,I asked what you were doing"i said

"I'm trying to release my shade form"he said

"Just drop it it's not something that you have to train for,it's something that just comes"

"How do you know that?"

"I remember the feeling I got when I first transformed to retaliate against shadow

Helpless

No one to help me

Wishing for greater strength and most importantly

Fear,I was afraid I was going to die a pitiful death,a death where I couldn't see my mother

That's what your lacking

Right now you think that you can take on anyone with the power of VOID but it's not true

The void is just a tool for you to use,the real weapon is here

And here"i said tapping his forehead and his chest

"It's up to you to know how to use them"i said walking away

'What did I become?some kind of old sage?'I asked myself before going back to ryuko's house and slept through the rest of the night

Everyone was gathered at the arena to see who was hollow's adversary

It was the girl who held him captive during our punishment period,esdeath

They both walked in front of each other as hollow pulled out his nail ready to fight her

Hollow was getting ready as esdeath didn't pay him any mind and didn't take him seriously

And so the battle began

Hollow went behind her ready to slash her back but she unsheathed her sword and blocked his attack from her back

"My my~you sure have grown a lot since the last time I saw you boy,it makes me excited to try all kinds of stuff with you"she said as she threw him to the side

He started sliding on the floor as he threw small knives at her that she deflected with her sword easily but he used that opportunity to run at her as they started to exchange blows,this was something new to hollow,however,esdeath was having the upper hand on him as if she was toying with him but as he clashed swords with her one more time,their swords collided and he used that opportunity to throw a knife at her which she barely dodged which left her a big scar on her face which got her mad as she tapped her heels on the ground which generated a mountain of ice which pierced hollow in his arm

He got to a safe place as esdeath glared at him

"You son of a bitch!!"

"I am not a son of a bitch!my name is hollow!and I will make sure to become a knight to protect my family!!and nothing will stop me!!"he said determined

"No one cares!!"she shouted as she tapped her heel again which created more ice as hollow jumped but this was a grave mistake as she used that opportunity to pierce him in the taste as he screamed in agony she then decided to slash him in a flurry of slashes as she let him fall down before starting to kick him

"Now,where is that strength that you were showing me a while ago?come on!"she shouted as she started kicking him

Hollow looked at the stands to see their people holding Y/n down from intervening

'Why?why am I so weak?all I want is to become strong enough to protect my family!I don't want to bother Y/n to protect me everytime!I need it

I need power!!'

'Really?is it power do you need?how much power exactly?'asked a sinister voice as dark as the night and as poisonous as the void

'All the strength that I need to protect my family!!'

'Then you will receive power from the shade lord unseen of anyone else!'

Then eight glowing eyes appeared in his field of vision as everything shifted to black

Then a giant black explosion occured which pushed esdeath out of the way and melted all the ice without it being hot

And all the black smoke condensed into one shade bigger than the other shades but it lacked the legs just like the others

"It's my turn now!!"he shouted in a much deeper and cooler voice

Esdeath got up to see a shade punching her in the face and up in the air as he flew towards her at blinding speed and started to whip her with his hands as they lost all bones composure and he threw her to the ground where she layed there unconscious

"The winner is!!!

HOLLOW!!!"shouted the referee

Then y/n and all the other siblings turned into their shade forms and flew up with hollow

"You did it hollow!that's really cool"said Y/n

"I know!!!and look!!I'm taller than y-"hollow didn't finish his sentence as Y/n kicked him down before he could finish that sentence so hard that it reverted him back to his original form

"You know what?I prefer you being a little kid"said Y/n as the day then ended

Grimm who was right in front of the black egg temple sighed

"Of course this can't hold her off,it's too weak he said as he pointed his hand to the gates and then

Flicked it causing it to fall to crumbles

He then walked through the halls of the temple before he reached the main room

"Finally I have found you"he said to the little bug in front of him

"Now the light shall be released!!"he said
