"Bro have you seen Jalil, that boy is such a fool."

"You got it right, Jess. He made a mockery of himself in front of the whole school. Damn, he's a mess." Karyme chuckled

"Yeah, he's a mess but he's our funny friend mess." Jess sighed

"Tru dat." They both continued their trduging through the third swings and gravel.

Phone Rings

"Hey, let me take this call Jess." Karyme picked up the phone.

"Kay boo."

"Hey mom, how are you? Is there something wrong?" Karyme said worryingly

"Hey Karyme, can you come home right now. I need to talk to you about something. You are not in trouble, don't worry." Ama said comforting

"Ok, I'm on my way ama."

"Alright, be safe when returning."

"Kay, bye."

Ends call

"Hey gurl, I'm so sorry but I gotta leave now. My mom has to talk to me."

"It's ok, I understand. Maybe your mom wants to talk to you about something important."

"Thanks for understanding, you know tomorrow we should go to the mall, just to hang out more, ok?"

"You know I always got you and ok that sounds fun. I just need to tell my dad ok?"

"Ok, see you tomorrow Jess, I love you hoe."
"I love you too bitch. Byeee!!"

I started walking back home from the dirt road next to the abandoned play- ground. There were many things running through my mind like what my mom was about to say. I know that she said I wasn't in trouble but I really want to predict what is going to happen in this late summer evening.

My mind went from one thing to another as I pass through the dirt to my house. I was wondering what I was going to eat, then I wanted to know when I was getting my license as a 16 turning 17 year old. My mind was racing through the multiple thoughts I had. As I was thinking, I noticed that I have returned home in such an efficient manner.

"Hey mom, I am home! What did you want to talk to me about?"

"Hey sweetie, yes please sit down on the couch."

As she was telling me this, I went down to our L shaped couch and grabbed my favorite pillow and blanket to prepare of what was coming my way.

"Ok now that you are sitting, I wanted to discuss about your summer plans."

"Ama, all I really wanted to do was have my major party over here and to sleep."

"Now you know we can't do that, remember the last time you had one of those extravagant party. Almost burned the whole neighborhood down." Mama strictly said.

"Hey! I begged for forgiveness for 8 months, don't bring it back. I promise it will never happen again."

"Hey, even if you wanted that party, it will have to be next summer, my brother called and he wants you over there. He misses you so much and he has plans for you guess to bond more."

I remember that I haven't seen my favorite uncle in the world in literally forever. I really truly miss him. The last time I saw him was when I was nine, and he came to live with us until he got a good job up in northern California and this huugggeee mansion. Dang I rather hang with him than all of these fake hoes in this town.

"Ok, I like the sound of that plan. I'm so excited for that. I really missed him. It's been too long."

"I know, ok later I'll call him later today saying that you will go to California for the whole summer."

"WAIT, the whole summer!!!"

"Yes the whole summer bunny, you have a problem with that?"  Mama said with a confused face.

"Oh, no, no, no. It just surprised me how long that is. But it is fine. I accept."
