Five days had passed since Teddy's birthday and everything started to gradually go back to normal. Teddy occupied himself with hours of tiresome training, Bullock and Nash made sure to keep him occupied when he was at home, and at night Chip and Brownie volunteered to cuddle him to sleep. Teddy had no time to think about Vicky and he couldn't be more grateful for his friends and family for being so supportive and caring.

     However, not everything went smoothly for everyone. Sirius had oddly disappeared after the day Teddy talked with his mate and the leader of the Clan, his father, had to take over the training hours and most of Sirius' duties into the Clan. No one knew why or where Sirius left, but every household of Camboda was talking about the two sons' disappearance.

        Then, one day, Teddy was sent to the pack house to collect some papers from Sirius' office and he found out something very astonishing: Sirius was....

         "Teddy, go to the pack house and bring me the Clan records." Erik, the clan leader said, pulling Teddy aside from his training group.

      Teddy nodded his head in a silent agreement, making his way towards the house with rushed steps. When he got inside he climbed the stairs towards Sirius' office, frowning his brows as the familiar sweet scent he smelt when he was with Nash in the parking lot tickled his nostrils once again.

       'Yummy!' Teddy's bear growled, licking his lips and making Teddy chuckle lightly.

      "Shh, I will buy you honey candies when we go home. Now let's find those reports so we can go back to training!"

       'Ok, boomer!' The bear grumbled, stretching his humongous body and shaking his butt playfully in the air.

      Teddy sighed with another husky chuckle, finally entering the office and starting to look for the reports.

      "Hmm... strange, they are not here.."

       'Maybe they are in Sirius' room?' Baloo suggested, making Teddy shrug before mind linking the Clan leader and asking him permission to enter his son's room.

      "Well, boss said we can go and look for the reports anywhere we need!" Teddy said closing the office door behind him and walking towards the room where he firstly met Sirius. He remembered how hard his legs were shaking when Sirius aggressively woke him up that day. He was afraid his pants would start wiggling by themselves and then twerk out of the room without him.

     Teddy shook his head, finally reaching Sirius' room and entering inside silently. However, he stopped  on the spot and knit his brows together when this sweet, drizzling smell erupted and invaded his nostrils. It was such a surreal scent, Teddy couldn't even put his hand on it and guess what it smelled like.

      "This... This can't be..." Baloo whispered, starting to breath heavily and spin around his own tail.

      "It can't be what?"

       "This... this smell...I-I think Sirius is our mate..." Baloo said in confusion, making Teddy's eyes widen and heartbeat quicken.

       "How would that be possible? Vicky is our mate."

       "Well, he was. I don't know, maybe after the rejection you were given a second mate."

        "Are you sure? But then if Sirius really was our mate, then why would he leave? He didn't want me as his mate either?"

        "Teddy... don't think like that! Sirius is nothing like Vicky. He would not leave the Clan only because he doesn't want to be your mate. He's a lot more responsible and mature than Vicky. Plus, have you seen how tough that man is? He would not be afraid to reject you face to face."  Baloo purred appreciatively, thinking with pride about his newly found mate. Truth to be told, he never really liked Vicky that much. He thought the snake shifter was too soft, unchallenging for him. He wanted someone more feral, who would test his patience and set his pants on fire 24/7. Sirius was the type of man whom you could hate with your entire being, but trust and love just the same. It was true he used to bully Teddy a lot in the childhood, but he never did it from pure pleasure or sadism and when Teddy started showing improvements, Sirius stopped mistreating him altogether. Baloo would never tell Teddy he was happy Vicky rejected them, but he really was. He liked Sirius a lot more.

  "Baloo, stop spacing out! I am worrying here!" Teddy's annoyed voice broke the bear out of his thoughts, making him redirect his attention back to the problem at hand. 

       "Well, there's only one way to find where Sirius is and that's through his dad. You have to talk with the Clan leader and tell him you're gonna give his son the fuckies!"

       "Baloo!!"
      
        "Ok, sorry, sorry! But you know what we have to do!"

       "So... Sirius is here?" Teddy asked as he parked in front of an old looking cabin, scratching his nape as he looked around the woods in search of another house.

       'Well, there's nothing else around here so I suppose so.'

     Teddy nodded, unbuckling his seatbelt and slowly climbing out of the car. He walked with idle moves towards the cabin, making up all kind of scenarios into his head on what Sirius was about to do and say.

     "Don't worry, Teddy, no matter what happens, I will protect you. I don't give a fuck about the Clan. If anyone else hurts you, I will take you far far away from here. No matter how indebted you feel towards Bullock, I won't let Sirius, nor his father or anyone into the clan step on you anymore."

      "Thanks, Baloo, but if it was so easy, then I would have ran away with Vicky. Bullock, Nash, they are my family just like you are. I'm not staying here because I have to pay a debt. I'm staying here and training this hard because I wanna make these people proud and protect them when they'll be in need. I love being here and if a hundred of rejections means to stay by my family's side, then I won't complain."

      'This is when I am thankful to have you as my human, Teddy.'Baloo chuckled, knowing that anything will be thrown in his way, Teddy will be able to overcome easily. 'Now go and take your man, child! I am smelling something very delicious and I cant wait to take a taste of it."

      Teddy chuckled, finally reaching the cabin's porch and proceeding slyly to knock on the door. He wasnt even able to touch it twice tough and it opened widely, revealing the wooden interior of the cabin with a screech.

       "Sirius?" Teddy asked, entering the house and being hit by waves of explosive sweetness.

      'Holy cow! Did Sirius take a honey bath or what?' Baloo moaned, making Teddy tsk and roll his eyes.

       "Sirius?" The boy asked once again, following the overwhelming  scent which was driving his bear crazy.

       "G-go away, Teddy! You should not be here now!"

       "Why not?" Teddy asked, stopping in front of a white painted door from where Sirius' voice was echoing weakly.

       "Just because! Leave!"

       "No, I won't! You can feel this bond, right? You know I am your second chance mate. You knew from the first second I rejected Vicky."

      "I-FUCK, yes, I did, Teddy!"

        "Then why did you leave? Was it because of me? You wanted to reject me?"

      Sirius groaned, muffled sounds being heard from inside his room.

        "Yes, it was because of you, but not because I wanted to reject you. It is complicated. I will explain everything soon, but now. You have to go!"

      "Why?" Teddy asked, his voice hushed and hoarse.

        "Because if you don't leave now I will open this door and we'll both do something unforgivable!"

         "Then I will better plead guilty later than leave now!" Teddy said with determination, making Baloo hum and roar out loud in agreement. "Open this door, mate!"

       "Fuck you, Teddy! This is not a joke!"

        "I am not joking! Open. The. Door."

        "Argh!" Sirius groaned, the creak of a bed being heard before steps approached the door and the handle began to move.

        "I hate you!" Sirius' clear voice hit Teddy in the face the same time  a molasses of heat and sweetness ran over him and a cute pair of ears popped out in front of the bear shifter's eyes. 

      Sirius was standing there with a large t-shirt barely covering his naked thighs and a long, sleek tail hanging proud between his legs. His skin was all red and body emanating heat, that sweet smell Teddy and his bear had chased for days now, finally flooding their nostrils with release.

       Then Teddy realized that scent was not only the smell you feel when you find your mate, but also the smell of a shifter in heat.

      Sorry for the late update, guys! It got me freaking days to write this version of this chapter.
