Chapter Twelve: ¡The Battle!

"How long until she's healed?" Leon asked Joseph as Katie slept on the bed. "Usually it takes her about three days before she can fight, but with how stubborn she is about a day and a half. She'll still have some pain and likely to reopen the wound, so make sure Ms. Katie takes it easy." Joseph answered.

"Understood, though I don't she'll listen to me." Leon chuckled. "Thank you; I will let you two be now." Joseph left, closing the bedroom door. Leon brushed a section of hair off of Katie's face "I will do my best to protect you Katie, I promise." he whispered before leaving also.

"Ready to go?" Katie asked, after exactly 36 hours of rest. "Poyo!" Kirby said with Little Creeper hissing in agreement. "Yeah, but promise to take it easy for a few more days." Leon said "Please."

"Alright." Katie sighed Joseph probably asked him to say that. She thought.

They left the Elias Estate, heading into the streets of Queenhouse, "I might actually miss this place." Leon said looking around as street goers stared at Katie, she shrugged, "It's just a big city. We might see more of them as we travel." Some pain registered just above Katie's hip, not that it's new to her; she had worse pain when she was little.

They walked a few miles west of the city before making camp. "According to the map, there's an Undead training camp a few days trip from here." Katie said, pointing to the map "It's one of the bigger ones, so we might need some help from the Blood Elves if we want to destroy it without killing ourselves."

"I'm friends with the Night Elves, I can ask them to help us too." Leon added. Katie gave a nod "That would be helpful." Katie stayed silent for a few minutes, "Go and get them Leon. The Blood Elves should know that you are sent by me."

"Okay, Kirby can you come with me?"

"Poyo!" Kirby said before they teleported away.

"Back." Leon called, the Blood Elves and silvery-blue elves behind him. "Good and I think I might have a plan." Katie smiled as she explained her plan.

Good news! They destroyed the Undead camp in one afternoon. Bad news, they had severe casualties; sixteen dead, three critical and fourteen minor injuries.

"Nice job with the plan, Katie" Leon said once they were alone. "Thanks, but it would've failed without your help." she replied, cleaning Frostmore.

"Where did you get that sword?"

"I made it."

"Really?"

"Yeah." Katie laid in the grass "So, what's on your mind Leon?"

"Lots of things. Most relating to you." Leon replied, laying down also. "Like?" she asked; "Like why would a daughter of a noble want to fight and go out camping when she doesn't have to?"

"Because it's more entertaining and less rule for me to follow."

"But you're rich as heck; wouldn't that be worth the rules?"

"Leon, you don't get it do you? The only reason they still keep me is because I'm the only child they could have." Katie sat up "They would rather have a boy for their heir than a girl that acts like one."

"I don't have a problem with you. You're a really nice girl and a good comrade to have in a war." Leon said casually, looking up at the sky. "You really think so?" Katie asked softly. "You bet, I wouldn't have said it if it was a lie."

"I guess that's true."

"Poyo!" Kirby said walking over to them. "Soon, right now we should rest for a bit." Leon answered. "Poyo." Kirby laid down next to Leon, Katie laid down also. So much for telling her. Leon thought disapointed.
