Chapter 31: Interwoven Fates

(Gary's POV)
It was 6:34 when I woke up to the smell of French Toast and Coffee. Also to the noise of somebody accidentally burning themselves on the stove.

Half awake, I got up from the bed. I headed to the kitchen in which the lights blinded me along with the sunrise coming from the window. I got greeted shortly after by a wave and warm smile.

"Morning Sleepy Head, you snored all night long. Sounded like a pig!" Green told me while messing up my hair I had just combed. She handed me a plate with two french toasts, fresh fruits, and a glass of chocolate milk. The French Toast she had given me were shaped like a Leaf.

"So... Are You still gonna speak with that tree today? Or did you get some idea of what to do in your sleep?" Green asked me while she sipped on some Coffee. She seemed to have burned her tongue as I heard her make a noise after sipping the coffee. It eased the conversation for me. I wanted to say something goofy, but now wasn't the time to act goofy when people are dying outside this house.

"I plan on just returning to Lumiose City to Help Ash in whatever he needs. No matter how much I would like to stay here to help weaken any of Delia's Team higher ranking trainers, I know that back in Kalos there is a boy who is struggling under a world of pressure. Who is trying to glue a broken world back together with only the support of a small amount of people. To me, that's something I need to hurry back to. I hope you understand Green." I told her while she stared at me wide eyed. She closed her eyes shortly after what I said to think about something.

"I'm surprised to say the least. I was expecting you to say that you wanted to fart around with me, but your next route is very logical. My, how you've grown up from the arrogant headed Gary I had to deal with." She mockingly said while chuckling towards the end. I was slightly embarrassed with what she said, treating me like some sort of kid. Yet, what she had said hit me a little bit in the feels. My heart was somewhat aching after hearing her criticism.

"Well, you better be off to the Kalos Region by around noon. Judging by the speed of your Pidgeot you'll arrive there by 10:00, maybe later depending on how many detours you'll have to take." Green explained while pulling up her Pokedex which was basically her Phone. She was probably already organizing her oh so busy schedule at this very moment.

"There is gonna be a storm over the ocean that leads to Kalos, so that's gonna be a major detour, an Extra Hour at best. Gary, make sure to be careful out over the ocean. Its not a friendly place even in the sky." Green warned me while taking my plate and putting it in the dishwasher.

"Green I'll be fine. I've flown over the Ocean many times without your consent, what's gonna make this one different?"

"Gary there's a literal War happening. That's what is different than usual."

Green gave a heavy sigh, and kept tapping her fingers on the countertops of the kitchen. She was clearly still skeptical about the whole thing, even with what she admitted earlier. Her eyes just told me she was confused with what to think about the situation.

"Alright, Lemme help you prepare for your trip back to Kalos at least. That's the least I can do." Green assured me as she grabbed my hand and dragged me painfully to my room where Blastoise had been resting. She began digging through my clothes, picked some of her favorites, and threw them in a Briefcase. She even organized my room slightly since it is the definition of a huge mess.

"Green this isn't really necessary, I don't need clothes or anything really. I have that back in Kalos, I promise you." I tried to tell her, but she wouldn't listen to me, even with Venasaur tapping her back. She kept working away. Finally I grabbed her shoulder and stopped her from placing a Family Photo of us in the briefcase.

"Green there's no need for any of this. Let's just relax and spend time with each other before we part ways agains. Please, I don't know when I'll see you again, if I even do see you again. I just want these moments to relax with you, my old friend."
I softly told her as she dropped the photo which softly landed on the ground, making no noises.

I felt something cold on my hands, and I look back to see Green softly crying in front of me. She grabbed me and very tightly hugged me with nearly all of her strength. I brushed her hair as she cried, and watched Blastoise and Venasaur attempt to hug, both of them having watery tears in their eyes, but just touched each other. Yet, I felt the cold wet tears begin to get absorbed in my shirt.

I picked her up and together we moved to the Living Room, sitting on my Father's Old Couch. I had to wipe Green's Tears as she leaned on me, occasionally sobbing to herself. After handing Green a few tissues, she finally stopped making rivers.

"Gary, have I been useless?" Green softly whispered while looking up at me, digging her chin into my shoulder. I hesitated to answer, I didn't wanna answer. I knew anything I'd answer with would impact her in a negative way.

"Green, thats for you to assess. I haven't been around you enough to know, so my answer wouldn't mean anything. Besides, you'd just get angry at me and probably slap me." I responded to her trying to sound mature, but all I got was an angry Green with a face that wasn't satisfied. But I already knew she could never be satisfied.

I heard a heavy sigh come from her, and soon she got up from the couch. I watched her walk into my room, and I heard her stub her toe on my door. When she came back out with a broken toenail, she brought a photo along with an old bag I'd never seen before. The bag wasn't mine, I never owned a Yellow Bag.

"Please be careful Gary, inside the bag is some food for the trip. And also a Tracker so I can ensure you don't get lost." She told me while placing the photo inside the bag.

Green helped me get up from the couch, and guided me to the front door. My Blastoise said its farewell to Venasaur before returning back in it's pokeball. Green hugged me one more time, this time being short. I figured she was gonna be sad that she would be alone until this War ends. Before she had my Father, but now she has to stay in the shadows till the war ends, however long that may be.

She was about to tell me one more thing, until the house suddenly shook, a loud bang seemingly on the roof, and before long the ceiling was beginning to break. Glass could be heard getting shattered, and the heat had intensified from just a few moments ago. It was so hot it'd be hard to even shed a tear. Then, a Trainer with a Gas mask and firefighter suit emerged from some flames with a Magmortar. I heard a familiar voice coming from outside the lab.

"Don't let either Green or Gary escape!"

Of course he was here to harass me one last time.

Thats when I suddenly was pushed by Green out the front door. I finally got a good look of what once was my home. The Lab was engulfed by flames that burned deep red and amber. The wind blew away any embers from the house, a Pidgeot with a trainer could be seen in the smoke above the house, trying to stay hidden.

However, that wasn't what caught my eyes. I looked inside the house to see Green getting pulled like a doll from the Trainer with a Magmortar and someone I've never seen before. A dark purple robed figure who's face and entire body was hidden. The flames made my sight of what was happening vague, but before the doorway fell, I saw the robed figure knock out Green cold. She was unconscious inside the Lab.

I felt my heart want to rush back into the flames to go save her. I didn't want to see one of my best friends potentially die from my Older Brother. But my older brother always has to come at the worse time.

Before I could make a choice, I was hit with a heavy gust of wind. It felt like being inside a hurricane as I struggled to not fall. When the wind stopped, I looked up to see my Brother about to land on me. I quickly rolled to the side as he just hit the now burnt grass. His Pidgeot flew above him, its flaps radiating a controlled majestic power.

"What did you do with the old man Gary. I know he's somewhere nearby, so tell me now before you join Green in the Flames." He threatened while his Pidgeot glared at me with its Sharp eyes. I was shaking in place as my older brother stood before me. I wanted to punch him as hard as I could right in the gut, but I know I'm not that strong physically, despite how much I say how muscular I am. He's the older brother, the next in line to be a King in the Family. I'm just a dorky prince, and now that Father was gone, Blue truly was the King of the Family.

"Why do you bother her! She has done nothing to you! Leave her out of this!" I shouted as loud as I could before a smirk appeared on Blue's Face like I had made the biggest mistake ever.

"That's the problem with your Girlfriend, Failure. She has done nothing in the war, she isn't on any side so she's an enemy to all. She's on her own side." He explained while my head began to act like a tea kettle with it just nearly about to explode from too much heat.

"She doesn't have to choose a side! She decided to choose people! Not Sides like the Rest of this World! She wants to avoid conflict! Why do we harass the people who wants to avoid war!?" I angrily shouted as I heard a loud crash. I looked behind me to see something I didn't want to see.

The Lab, My Childhood Home, Collapsed.

My body shut down. Goosebumps were all over my arms. My legs refusing to move despite the heat practically burning them. My eyes grew watery as my vision seemed to blur. My blood stream turned cold despite the heat in the air. All I could smell was the smoke that rose in the air.

I even heard a gasp from Blue.

But soon something made my body turn back on. Somebody had fired a round of dark pulses at me and Blue. It made my body sting, and dust filled the air from the impact. When it settled, around me and Blue were the robed figures. The one's that made Green Unconscious.

"Gary, what is this planned assault? Was this whole thing a trap!?" Blue asked with a hint of fear in his voice. He wanted to seemed confident, cool, and collected, but I could tell he was scared.

"No! I didn't plan any of these guys! I don't know any of them!" I whispered back to him while keeping my guard up. The robed figures were honestly unsettling. All of them were in synch and unified. Their Pokémon, most being Arboks and the dark pulses from Weaviles, were also in a very unified manner. It was as if they weren't even living beings. They acted as though they were robots.

"Explain who you are!" I yelled at one of them, only for an Arbok to nearly bite me with fire fang. The robed figures stayed silent. Not a single word, as if they were mutes.

Blue Didn't care. His Blastoise came out and began attacking all of the Pokemon around him. This started the Pokemon to attack both of us as a result. However, my Pidgeot came out of its Pokeball and immediately picked me up and flew off. The Weaviles began firing their dark pulses at us in the air, but thankfully all of them missed. Pidgeot didn't look behind, and I could feel it's heart beating way fast.

I took one last look at the lab, my home. I watched as the Pokemon that had been stored inside the Lab began getting into cages and nets. Some Pokemon were fighting back, but the robed figures seemed to take no damage. They were thieves, stealing while the world was in chaos. Reminds me of something a group of people would do, but I don't remember their name. I think they had a talking meowth? And an annoying saying they'd give everytime I saw them.

However, I wasn't thinking about whoever that could be. I could tell the air quality decrease from the smoke. It felt like poison filled my lungs. I had to cover my nose for the ride as I was struggling to even breathe.

I looked at Pidgeot with my nose still covered. I could tell he was trying not to take many breaths of the air. He seemed to struggle not to tip over and drop me, or shake too much. Just a little further buddy.

It had been an hour riding on Pidgeot. After the dark pulses, riding was smooth for the most part. It had already been an hour, and the air over the ocean felt refreshing from the heavy smoke. However, I remembered what Green told me before she started to pack for me.

"There is gonna be a storm over the ocean that leads to Kalos, so that's gonna be a major detour, an Extra Hour at best."

I didn't know when this storm would hit, nor did I know if this would even occur. Flying right now was like a vacation: Relaxing. There wasn't a single cloud in the sky, the breeze was comforting and keeping us cool from the burning hot sun. I didn't believe there could be anything that nature could throw at us.

I couldn't have been so wrong.

It had been 4 Hours since leaving the Lab, and the Endless Blue Skies disappeared as the world turned dark. The calm waves turned to harsh rough waves that grew bigger and scarier. Lightning struck the Earth in the Distance, and Thunder shook the Earth with its mighty roar. Then, the Rain came crashing down showing no mercy.

We were in the eye of the storm.

Pidgeot struggled to fly, with the harsh winds blowing him in multiple directions. I was holding onto him for dear life, praying he could get through this. I heard him fighting to regain balance in this storm, for him to just get in the correct flying position. I tried thinking of how I could help Pidgeot in this situation. How I could steer him through this stressful situation: And it had hit me.

Green's Bag: It Contained my old Pidgeotite Bracelet.

It was all I could think of, so without thinking I started searching Green's Bag for the Bracelet. I couldn't see as the skies were too dark to the point there's barely any light. The rain also made focusing very difficult as the water would just get in your eyes.

Yet I felt the smooth stone brush my fingertips in the bag, it was the Pidgeotite. I picked it up from the bag to see its tiny glow emerge in the darkness of the storm. Now it was time for the hard part; putting the Stone on the Leg of Pidgeot. I was riding on top of him, holding on for dear life as he struggled to stay a float in the storm.

I took one deep breath, and began trying to attach the bracelet on Pidgeot's Leg. He wanted to adjust himself to make it easier for me, but that'd risk the entire aircraft being manipulated by the storm. Finally, after 21 attempts I got the bracelet on the leg! And yet, I had no time to celebrate.
I fell off Pidgeot in the Process.

Free falling from Pidgeot made me terrified. Was I about to fail here? Was I doomed? How do I live?

Yet, one simple tap on my right wrist which contained a Keystone was all it took. I saw as light flooded the darkness, like a beacon of hope. I heard a powerful cry that could've stopped the storm right there. And as I was about to drop into the water until something grabbed me swiftly through the air. I was barely able to blink as I sat on the back of my Partner. I was struggling to even breathe; the moment went by so fast. It seemed my life flashed before my eyes in that very moment.

When I finally connected my brain back to reality, it seemed the world slowed down. That everything around me and Pidgeot was in slow motion. Speaking of Pidgeot, He was Flying smoother now, and way faster than before. It was as if this storm didn't exist. Calmed my nerves down a little bit, but the thought of getting struck by lightning still lingered in the back of my mind.

"Excellent work, Pidgeot. You've improved your flying immensely!" I tried to say to Pidgeot hoping that a compliment would keep a positive mindset. I heard a little sqwak that seemed like a "thank you!" From Pidgeot. It seemed to fly faster as a result, and after 25 minutes from it Mega Evolving we had escaped the Storm.

The blue skies had made the gray disappeared as the world seemed to be full of color again. The menacing storm clouds became fluffy white clouds. The sun could be seen shining over the horizon, beginning to set. In the ocean I could see plenty of Water Type Pokemon Swimming freely. It was like we entered a whole new world untouched by the War.

No Betrayals, No Chaos, Just A Regular Life.

It felt too surreal, and I just wanted to relive this moment again. Let this moment last forever, but life moves on. For better or for worse.

I checked my Map on my Rotomphone to see how much longer it'd take for us to arrive in Kalos. Another 4 hours at the pace we were going, which isn't bad at all.

I felt my eyelids get heavy as I looked up at the puffy white clouds. The wind that blew on my face as we flew at great speeds seemed to just stop as the world slowly turned black.

A Few Hours Later...

.

It was 9:00 at Night when we landed on a Building in Lumiose City. The city lights were all illuminating a warm glow. Explosions from Pokemon attacks could be heard in the Distance, and piles of dust could be seen on the horizon.

It took us longer due to stops we had to make for rest, food, and bathroom breaks. Pidgeot especially was worn out after flying the distance in a short span of time. Although finally we had made our way back to our homebase, and currently I was waiting on a certain loud mouthed trainer to make noise. I heard the General's Voice yelling for his name however. Sadly not the Champion's Voice or I'd be jumping off the roof and running to find her.

Then I saw Ash... Gold too! Both of them standing at the base of Prism Tower! I felt my heart race seeing them! I wanted to vent so badly on how I was feeling about... Well you know who. I needed to just talk to someone without being arrogant for a second.

But that would have to Wait.

Just as I was about to head down to where Ash and Gold was... I Paused. I felt fear envelop my body. I stood on the roof as the World I'd known seemed to have disappeared right in front of my eyes. My nerves shaking within the very soul of my body. My brain being unable to comprehend what it had just witnessed.
Only one thing flooded my ears: Screams.

(Gold 's POV)
I awoke to the Plane landing hard at Lumiose Airport. I jumped in my seat on impact as I felt a heavy amount of drool on my face. I looked next to me to see Star perfectly awake and staring down the aisle. I looked outside to see dust constantly flying in the air. Not to mention explosions in the distance. It's weird to just call this Normal.

I went to go grab my Rotomphone to text Ash we were here, but I remembered I don't have my phone. I heavily sighed to myself, ignoring everything the Pilot was saying. I felt Star nudge me as she got up from her seat. We were leaving the plane.

Me and Star entered the airport, and instantly something caught our attention. I noticed inside the airport people wielding Team Ash Flags. More and more people seemed to start aiding Ash's Choice as the war went on. My fear of not having the people's support settled down like a child that had been on a sugar rush for so long. Thats when I remembered I needed to pick up my Pokemon! I left Star where she stood, near a water fountain.

I went over to the Pokemon Center inside the Airport to go check if the recovery process for Explotaro and Ambipom were done.

"Oh! Greetings General Gold! Welcome back to Kalos! I'm happy to report that your Pokemon have recovered greatly. However we advise you to not over push them." Nurse Joy advised while handing me their Pokeballs. They felt colder than usual.

I went back to the Main hallway of the airport to see if Star was still there, but I lost her, as if she completely vanished. I didn't know what to do next, until I heard a sudden gasp.

"Mr General! We've been waiting for you!"
A Business Man yelled from across the airport with a huge camera on his shoulders. A microphone was thrown in front of my face, and a crowd began rushing towards me.

"Please Sir! Answer a few of these questions for the News! We wish to hear your thoughts!" The businessman said again while a red light turned on the camera.

The world around me felt dizzy, with so many people surrounding me. All of them staring at me, muttering about me and every breath I take. I felt my breath get heavy, and I was struggling to breathe in the moment. I wanted to just be elsewhere. I needed an escape.

Then, I saw him.

Elite Trainer A.

The one who stole my Phone and Killed all of those innocent people on the Plane. He was just standing casually in the background, my phone barely visible in his pocket.

He took one look at me in the crowd, and immediately started running off. He already knew I was gonna chase him.

I pushed through the crowd, some who slapped me a few times as I rudely shoved them. But As soon as I was out, I began rushed for that edgy trainer. I looked behind me to see the crowd running after me. I looked ahead to see the Trainer doing whatever he could to possibly slow me down. Knocking over trash bins, chairs, and entire golf carts that were used at the Airport.

The Trainer ran out the airport, into the sunny light of Lumiose City. Although the light would get blocked by piles of smoke. All of his attempts to slow me down didn't work, and despite me struggling to keep running, I kept going. My legs were getting numb, and my breathing was garbage, but I had my eyes on him.

He ran down the long narrow streets of Lumiose City, occasionally running into a few people who were battling on the streets. He gripped my phone instead of keeping it in his pocket so for it not to drop. He had slowed down exponentially from the airport, but I myself felt like I had taken a lap around the entire world.

He stopped running at a Dirt Battlefield in the City. A few trainers were fighting on the sides, including a few faces I had seen before. The Elite Trainer stood directly in the middle of the field, which stopped the other trainers from battling. They began to bicker, but stopped once the trainer stood over them dominating them both in height, striking some fear. They backed away to the side, as I stepped towards him slowly due to my legs suffering from all the running.

I looked behind the Elite Trainer to see two faces I've most certainly seen before; Clemont and Bonnie. They were both hiding behind a tree, and seemed to have left on the floor a flower basket with a note.

"I see you lost to Red, Gold. I told you that you'd fail. Be realistic for a second would you." The Trainer told me while having one hand on his hip and rolling his eyes.

"Did you ever think that this War would be easy? Wars never end without damage that rock the world. Just like a Pandemic, by the end of it something will drastically change. It impacts your life."
Elite Trainer A said before grabbing a Pokeball from his belt. Out popped a Dragonite, which flew right behind him, giving me a huge glare.

"Be real with yourself, Gold- Do you really believe Ash is gonna win this War? And if he does succeed, what will it cost?"
Before he even finished, I noticed all the trainers at the battlefield had their phones' cameras pointed directly at me. Most likely recording this for the Internet. Whatever I say here would change a lot of things, even if not many people were in person to witness it.

Elite Trainer A walked over to one side of the battlefield. He looked over to Clemont.

"You. Gym Leader who is Hiding Behind the Tree. Come over here." He called out to Clemont who slowly walked out nervously. The Elite Trainer handed my Phone to Clemont.

"Listen, and listen well or it may cost you a limb. Referee this battle, and whoever wins gets the phone. If Little Gold wins, he earns his phone back. If I win, I get his phone and I'll end up confiscating it to whichever Team I feel deserves it.Understand?"

Clemont struggled to nod yes, and took a deep breath that was very shaky.

He who had killed those lives on the plane looked at me with his emotionless eyes and pointed to the other side of the battlefield. I walked over to the trainer box, doing my best to ignore the explosions in the background, and kneeled down.

The trainers looked at me, confusion in their eyes. I was trying to scheme on what to do for this battle. Who to use, and how to conduct an unexpected strategy that could earn my phone back. I just needed it all to connect together. I needed the loose threads to connect. And they did.

I grabbed the Pokeball from my Bag that I had been carrying since the plane. Explotaro who had been out this whole time was on guard behind me, and I threw out the Pokemon I had put my entire faith in:
Politoed.

I heard some Trainers begin to laugh, which included my opponent. Yet, the drizzle was beginning to activate, making the field wet and the trainers. Clemont began declaring the rules:

"Whichever Pokemon is still standing after the battle will be declared the winner. Only one Pokemon allowed, and no healing with potions. With that out of the way: LET THE BATTLE BEGIN!"

The Dragonite didn't even get a command from him, the Dragonite straight up tried attacking Politoed with a Thunder Punch. Politoed thankfully dodged the scary effective attack and countered with Icy Wind. You could see the Dragonite actually struggle to withstand the wind, but it overcame the wind eventually.

"Politoed! Use Scald on the Ground of the Battlefield." I commanded as the boiling hot water hit the ground, and the dirt due to the force of the water hit the Dragonite in the face. Some Trainers began to cheer, and the crowd riled up.

"Extreme Speed" Could be hear quietly across the field, and soon the Dragonite bashed my Politoed into the wall behind me, leaving cracks. I noticed the Dragonite charging a Hyper Beam, which could easily finish Politoed in this state.

"Quick Politoed! Use Hyper Voice to counter the Hyper Beam!" I said as quickly and clearly as possible. A high pitched screech could be heard just as Dragonite fired the Hyper Beam. The both collided with each other as a tug of war began. In the end, it caused a huge dust explosion. And it seemed to echo, but in reality it was just more explosions from across the Kalos region.

"Politoed! Now! Use your Ice Beam!" I yelled as blue light appeared in the cracks of the dust explosion. But something unexpected happened: A Blue Ice de surrounded the battlefield due to the dust explosion. The Dragonite was clearly confused, a perfect opportunity.

"NOW POLITOED! AGAIN!"

This time; It won't miss.

The Beam made its target of the Dragonite, causing it to become a cube of ice. It struggled to break free, but I had Politoed keep using Icy Wind afterwards to make it into a frozen Dragonite Popsicle. Before long, the Dragonite fainted from the coldness of the cube and the wind. The dome shortly melted and the crowd could be heard cheering. I even saw Star smiling and Clapping.

Clemont made the official announcement:
"Dragonite can no longer battle, which means the Winner is Gold and his Politoed!"
There were some"way to go" and definitely some booing, but I finally got my phone back thanks to Clemont. I noticed my messages with Ash were the only thing open, and some suspicious texts I'd have to read later. Star came over here and hugged me, congratulating me.

Yet, after a minute, I blinked and everyone was gone. Even my opponent left, leaving a note. The note read as follows:

You may have won today, but can you do the same tomorrow? Maybe. Can you win this everyday? No. Something will change everytime. Just like every passing day, something big will happen. Just you wait, General.
-Elite Trainer AC.

"He finally gives up after all of this time huh? Well Gold, what next?" Star asked me, but I wasn't paying attention to her. I was looking at something else. The flower left on the floor by Clemont and Bonnie. I read the note which stated:

"In Honor of our Dear Friend Ash. You have changed our lives for the better thanks to this Battlefield. We wish you some of our luck. -Clemont and Bonnie."

"Star, we are gonna go find Ash. Even if it takes the rest of today. We need to regroup." I explained while checking my phone's battery: It was Dead.

"I shall look elsewhere, Good Luck Gold! I'll text you if I find him!" Star yelled before heading down a narrow street. I didn't even try stopping her.

I checked the time: 4:42 P.M. Time flew by so fast. I needed to drop my things off at the lab. I left the flowers where they were, petted Explotaro, and left for the lab.

Explosions during this time of day were so frequent it sounded painful to the ear. Screams could be faintly heard along with some Pokemon Cries. People in the streets were all preparing for the rest of the night or tomorrow. Their clothing showed their loyalty, and most were from Team Delia. Yet, there were some explosions in the narrow streets which caused what felt like an avalanche to engulf your body. It just lifted you in the air.

When I got to the lab, only a few assistants were there. The professor and Ash were nowhere to be seen. I walked up to the bedroom, the one place in the world where I felt safe, and I set up the spot where I would crash for the night. With nobody around, I opened up the secret room and sat on the floor of it. I just wanted some silence. Some peace.

For just a few moments... I wanted to be a lazy dude with no responsibilities. I wanted to just relax and play. Yet, when Reality comes through the door like an angry mother, you have to obey no matter how much you hate it.

I held up the picture of my Friends and Family. I placed it close to my heart, and before long I had fallen asleep...

8:16 P.M.
I awoke with a stream of drool running down my face. The picture still resting on my lap, and Explotaro at the door of the room guarding me. The explosions which sounded like little taps in this room now sounded louder then ever. I checked my Rotomphone which was fully charged to see Ash text me, "You doing good over there, Gold?"

I needed to find Ash.

I needed to apologize to him in person. An apology text is nothing compared to a face to face apology. I got up, sealed the hidden room, and ran back onto the streets. I ran through the streets which glowed gold thanks to all the lights. I used Prism Tower, which stood as a Beacon of my Faith, as a Guide to help me. I yell throughout the streets for Ash, hoping to hear a response. People stared at me like I was an insane psycho, but I wanted to see Ash.

The explosions were definitely intensifying from how they were earlier. They sounded more powerful then before. Not to mention the dust clouds were bigger.

They kept distracting me from finding Ash, and made it hard to hear anything. Not to mention I didn't hear anything from Star who said she would text me if she knew anything. I was hoping to introduce her to Ash at least.

But finally at 8:55P.M. , I found Ash at the base of Prism Tower. I was expecting to find the usual energetic Ash, but when I saw his face, he was masking his sorrow.

"Ash...What Happened Pal?" I asked before he covered his eyes with his hat. Something was Wrong.

"Gold, I don't wanna talk about it. I'm just glad your ok. Now we can finally discuss how to change this war..." Ash said with his best tone before getting interrupted-

We both looked up, and soon sorrow filled my eyes. In the Distance the Explosions seemed louder than they ever were, and screams of agony echoed down the streets. A harsh wind blew pass me as the world seemed to slowly begin to die. My heart pounded, my blood stream turned cold, chills ran up my spine. What was meant to be a longed reunion turned out to be a Nightmare.

And people in this one moment shared an interwoven fate that would change this world forever. Reality had Hit.

And This was Only the Beginning...

Only One Thing Flooded my Eyes: Death.
