In Atmos, the Interceptors are considered among the elite of all Sky Knight squadrons second only to the Storm Hawks. Led by Starling, the Interceptors established a reputation as among the best of the best. One day, the Interceptors were investigating a distress signal at a nearby Terra south of Terra Mesa. After answering the distress signal, the Interceptors exited their ship and began exploring the colony. What they found was devastated colony with no survivors.

Interceptor Lieutenant: Damn. Someone sure did a number on this place.

Starling: Keep your guard up. Whoever did this might have left a few surprises for us. Let's not give them any opportunity.

With that, the Interceptors began exploring the colony. During their search, Starling noticed something strange.

Starling: That's odd. The place hasn't been picked clean.

Interceptor Medic: Maybe these colonists put up more of a fight than they expected.

Interceptor Sharpshooter: But I'm not seeing any Murk Raider bodies.

Starling soon grew suspicious. There was no signs of pillaging. It seemed as if whoever was responsible only attacked without stealing anything. Starling looked around for any signs of a trap. She found no signs of a trap, but she couldn't help but feel that she was being watched. As the Interceptors kept their guard up, they soon came across the body of the Terra's mayor. The medic checked the mayor's body.

Interceptor Medic: He's dead. Whatever killed him did so recently.

Interceptor Strongman: I don't like this. We're too exposed.

Starling looked around the Terra for any signs of a trap. Meanwhile, Repton and the Raptors stalked the Interceptors from their hiding spots. They watched as the Interceptors continued to search the Terra.

Interceptor Lieutenant: Whatever happened here is over. We better head back to base.

Suddenly, a shot rings out. The sharpshooter screams in pain he fell to the ground. The medic pulled his wounded comrade to cover as the Raptors unleashed a barrage of blaster fire on the position of the Interceptors.

Interceptor Sharpshooter: Shit! My leg! Bastards got me good!

Interceptor Strongman: What the hell is going on?!

Interceptor Lieutenant: Can anyone see where the shots are coming from?!

Starling peaked from cover to catch a glimpse of the attackers. She quickly realized that the Raptors were attacking.

Starling: It's the Raptors!

Interceptor Strongman: They got us pinned down! We need to get moving!

Interceptor Medic: That's gonna be a problem! He's got tagged pretty bad!

Interceptor Sharpshooter: I'll....I'll be fine!

Starling quickly realized that she and her squadron were in a difficult position. The Raptors had them pinned down and left little room for them to move.

Starling: Interceptors! Ready your shields and form a phalanx!

With that, Starling along with the other Interceptors readied their shields and formed a phalanx around the medic who carried the wounded sharpshooter on his shoulders. As the Interceptors moved forward, Repton gestured to a group of Raptors. As he does so, a group of Raptors pounced on the Interceptors and broke through their phalanx. The Interceptors were completely caught off guard as the Raptors attacked them. During the attack, the sharpshooter was attacked by a Raptor.

Interceptor Sharpshooter: Is that the best you got, you bastard! COME ON! GIVE ME SOMETHING WORTH DYING FOR!

As the sharpshooter attempts to fight off the Raptor, the Raptor overpowers the sharpshooter and stabs him in the chest with a Crystal Blade. As the sharpshooter was killed, the Interceptors were barely able to fight off the group of Raptors. But their victory was short lived as the Raptors began to swarm them.

Interceptor Lieutenant: We're outnumbered, Starling! We need to get out of here!

Interceptor Medic: Raptors are coming up from the ridge! We can move....

Before the medic could finish his sentence, a blaster shot strikes the medic in the head. As the medic collapses to the ground, Starling rushes over to her fallen comrade, but he dead before he hit the floor. The lieutenant was soon pounced by a Raptor. Though the lieutenant was able to push back the Raptor, he was severely wounded in the process. Eventually, the Interceptors were pushed to the building near the Interceptor's flagship.

Starling: We need to get back to the ship and get out of here!

Interceptor Strongman: I'm going for those Skimmers! Keep those bastards off of me!

 The strongman then ran for the flagship while using his shield to block the blaster fire. As Starling and the lieutenant provided covering fire, Starling noticed a Raptor loading a rocket launcher.

Starling: Look out!

Just as the strongman reached the flagship, the Raptor fired the rocket launcher and hits the ship, causing a large explosion that caught the strongman in the blast. Starling watched in horror as she only saw her fallen comrade's charred shield.

Starling: NO!

As the Raptors closed in on Starling and the lieutenant, they were eventually cornered near a waterfall. Starling and the lieutenant made their stand, but the Raptors were too many. Knowing the battle was lost, the lieutenant turned to Starling.

Interceptor Lieutenant: Starling, get out of here.

Starling: Don't even think about it! I'm not leaving you behind! We're getting out of here!

Without warning, the lieutenant pushed Starling off the cliff. After doing so, the lieutenant made his final stand. The Raptors quickly closed in on the lieutenant and overwhelmed him. Refusing to give up, the lieutenant kept on fighting until he came face to face with Repton. Despite his valiant effort, Repton quickly overpowered the lieutenant. Repton soon readied his Crystal powered Boomerang and looked upon the wounded Interceptor.

Repton: Die with your head held high, Interceptor!

Repton then thrusts his sword into the lieutenant's chest, killing him. After killing the lieutenant, he looked down the waterfall. Believing Starling was dead, Repton grabbed Starling's discarded shield and claimed it as a trophy. In that moment, the Interceptors were wiped out with Starling as it's sole survivor.
