He smirked at me with gun in his hand.

"Captain, aren't you a tad bit underdressed for someone hunted by the new Titans?"

I tilted my chin up in defiance and slowly slipped my hand into my pocket.
No gun.
He laughed .

I internally winced and shot a desperate glance at the security camera. Eren please be on shift... Its red light flashed at me acknowledgingly.

Before it was shot to pieces.

"you were never good at this... Thing." He mutters loudly enough for me to hear as he twirls the gun around his index.

I looked around at the cans of soup and sauses around me and sighed internally.
Nothing that really helpful, i was just lucky when that can shielded me.

  He raised his gun.

Is this how an assassin's life should end?

Leaving the basket of groceries on the floor, I slowly raised up my arms.
He gently placed pressure on the trigger.

Am I surrendering?
After all my effort to live?

A smirk slipped my notice and plastered itself on my face.

The answer is: No.

No way, no how, am i leaving all the friends i made, all the memories here.

It happened faster than lightning.

She kicked the basket at her feet, a movement so swift that you would only capture a blurr of black.
Its impact knocked him backwards into the meat, bullet hitting a waterspout on the ceiling that was installed for fire. His gun slipped out of his hand and out of reach. She let the smirk on her face grow.

A shrill alarm rang through the supermarket as the rest of the water spouts opened, shocking whatever customers left further.

"Get out of here quick! Theres a big fire in aisle 4!" she shouted at the top of her lungs.
Not even bothering to check for the fire, shoppers fled the supermarket.
She skidded down the aisle and raised a leg to further damage his rib cage and back for paralysis .

Honestly speaking. Where even is the cashier?  Is everyone relying on One person to do all the jobs?

Seeing her foot coming, Vai reacted fast enough to grab and twist it, its owner falling hard onto the tiled floor. She groaned in pain as she put pressure on several new bruises. He grinned and tossed her around aisle with his foot. She could only groan as his foot kicked her ribcage over and over, protecting her head from the falling soup cans were her arms, which were both bruised and bleeding from the impact of the metal cans and the rims of them.

But at once, she slammed herself against the bottom of the shelf of cans, toppling the entire thing over. She screamed in pain as the shelf nearly crushed her but bit into her cheek to stop herself.

The shelf toppled down on an unsuspecting Vai, crushing him under its weight.

Now both were paralysed and neither said a word as they panted heavily, catching slivers of oxygen through breaths.
She breathed deeply while Vai tried his best to push the shelf off to get the gun which was just a few meters away.

(1 meter = 39.37 inches)

Mustering all her strength, she pushed her end of the shelf up  with her uninjured leg, allowing her to slide through a gap she made and put even more weight on Vai.

She panted heavily as she caught her breath, her injuries making it hard for her to think properly.
Vai groaned from his place under the shelf, undoubtedly being crushed slowly by the weight of it.
She looked in his direction in contempt but decided to lessen his pain. Dragging herself over on useless legs, she pocketed his gun and crawled over to the end of the shelf. Prising the top up, she allowed him to pull himself out. Until the very last moment, she let out the shelf, crushing his leg.

He screamed out in agony as she stared. She shakily fished out her phone from her pocket with a bruised and cut hand and pressed a few digits on her call pad.

"Please state your name and purpose."

She smirked. "Hullo. This is Rogue Agent A.1 of  1.0 Titans calling in to report, hmm, my former teammate's failure to annihilate me."

She could hear the shock on the other end as voices whispered to each other. "Don't worry, he's still alive,  blue and black all over but alive nonetheless. " Her voice took on a venomous tone to hide the pain.

Vai had fainted under the pain and sunk into a peaceful sleep. She gazed at his bruised face and reached out a hand to gently inspect his bruises.

"if I'm not wrong,  its the fifth time they've tried to wipe me off the face of the earth." She paused, quietly recounting. "Yep, its the fifth time." She said into the phone.  "After the fifth failure to assassinate a rogue, agents are not allowed to attempt again by any means lest the agency loses more agents."

She smiled. "I hope not to see them again and thus, I shall be taking my leave. I bid you farewell."

The familiar beep of the doors sounded through the store. A familiar raven shortie ran over to her, worried for her condition .

______________

"Your brother needs medical attention."  I said bluntly. He glanced over to Vai in shock. "Come on shortie."

He gently prised the shelf off his brother as I dragged him out. Levi dropped the shelf abruptly and I placed his brothers body in his hands.

"Eren!" I cried out. The brunette shuffled down the steps carrying a first aid kit and all the medical stuff he found in his comfy security room as he left me to die.

I diminished the anger and took the kit from him as I picked out the stuff that I wanted to get. I gave Eren the cash and started leading the ravenette back out. I stopped short of the door and turned to Eren. "Pass me an umbrella would you?" He nodded with a small grin, happy that I wasnt shouting at him.

Eren is weird.

Rain angrily pattered its tears on our umbrella as we walked, I limped, back to the bar.
Levi remained silent most of the way, commenting on how flithy I was from all the blood.
After another silence, "Are you actually okay or do you need me to carry you?" I rolled my eyes at him and denied his offer. "This is nothing." I spoke as I gestured to my leg. "And where would your brother go if you carried me?" I joked lightly.

His eyes widened.

"How did you know?!" I exaggerated, putting on a falsetto. "I knew once I saw you, you're a spitting image of him." I said after returning to my straight face and clearing my throat. "He spoke of you often. All good things, we could tell he really adores you. "  I explained, recalling fondly the memories of our team days.

Levi pushed open the door to the bar and I gently closed the umbrella Eren gave.
