"Yes, they are animatronics", Y/N said impatiently. She knew that they didn't have much time before Fleegle got to the magic shop, and that was really freaking her out!

"Ones that have free will and can think for themselv-"

"Really?!" Thadd interrupted, his expression radiating pure awe. "Oh my god, how cool is that, babe?" the obsessed fanboy cheered, turning to look at his girlfriend with excitement.

Poppy, though, didn't seem as overexcited as Thadd about this revelation ... which was a relief, in Y/N's opinion.

Hopefully she grasps the urgency of the situation! I can only hope that Thadd cottons on quickly!

"Hang on ... you said that they were sabotaged?" the aforementioned girlfriend pressed Y/N, ignoring her surprised boyfriend. "By who?"

Y/N grimaced at that. She dearly wanted to tell people that it was Andy behind it all, but an inner feeling warned her to keep the secret for now.

Revealing the culprit's name at present might distract people enough to make them easy prey for the animatronics!

"Someone very high up, and very despicable", Y/N said in a low and very miffed voice. She then quickly beckoned to the young couple.

"In any case, you guys need to get out of this set immediately! The Banana Splits have got it into their now befuddled minds that the adults are to blame for their show being cancelled ..."

"WHAT?!"

Once again, Y/N's urgent voice was drowned out ... but this time by BOTH Thadd and Poppy! And in pure shock and horror!

The two superfans looked anguished to such a degree; like they'd metaphorically been forced to put an entire litter of puppies down.

"The show's been C-CANCELLED?!!" Thadd spluttered, tears in his eyes as he tried to wrap his mind around the concept.

Y/N couldn't help reaching forward and giving the young man a comforting pat on the back. She suddenly hated Andy a lot more for causing heartbreak and sadness like this to loyal fans.

"But they can't!" Poppy protested, crying a little too. "Everyone loves this show!"

Everyone ... except Andy, obviously, Y/N thought, glancing back over her shoulder for a second.

The set doorway was empty ... for now.

"Well, the saboteur doesn't ... that's why they did this", she explained to the fan couple ... who were now paying full attention.

"But it's backfired on them ironically. The Banana Splits are attacking all of the adults because they believe that they're in league with the saboteur."

Thadd and his girlfriend were now looking less excited and more nervous, especially Poppy. Her boyfriend had already wrapped a protective arm around her shoulders, keeping Poppy close.

"But we're not! Fleegle and the others do know that, right?" the fangirl asked fearfully, trying to keep a smile on her face.

A tic quickly appeared under Y/N's left eye for a moment. Oh god, give me strength not to scream! Y/N thought, feeling like she might end up doing so anyway!

Being the hero of the day was really exhausting! Then again ... when had heroes ever had it easy? She took a deep breath, and then continued speaking.

"We have to leave because the virus has sent these performing robots literally mad! They won't respond to prior instructions, they won't see you as guests, and they WILL try to h-hurt you!" Y/N stated.

Her voice stammered slightly as she remembered all of the gruesome deaths that the film's victims had suffered at the hands of the insane animatronics.

"The Banana Splits can't tell right from wrong at the moment, due to the malware, and it's twisted them into monsters. Trust me, you do NOT want to be at their mercy, guys!" she finished, and then clapped her hands once.

"Now, any last questions before we leave?" Y/N asked briskly ... and then suddenly frowned.

The couple had suddenly gone very pale, started shaking, and were backing slowly away from her.

"Um, just one ... do any of these crazy robots have any distinct, tale-tell features?" Thadd asked in a small voice.

"Like red eyes for instance?" Poppy added, after her boyfriend.
