Peko: So do we continue the mission?

Vesper: Yes, but only I will drive the bomb to the meeting point, that way if it does go off, I'm the only casualty.

Mondo: Don't say that man!

Mikan: P-Please don't go!

Vesper: I'm sorry, but it's my job as leader to keep you all safe. Kaz, can I trust you to follow the plan?

Vesper: Okay....then let's go.

After Mondo cautiously moved the nuke into the back of the truck, I climbed into the driver's seat.

I looked out the window, and saw the best crew I ever worked with....for what could be the last time.

Vesper: It was a honor to work with you all, go live your lives after this job, and don't....

I stopped.

Vesper: Don't add me to the weight any of you carry.

A mix of sadness and regret came across everyone's face.

After a heartfelt goodbye, I drove the truck away, as the police closed in.

Heist P.O.V
Kaz jumped into the driver's seat of the semi when Vesper went out of view.

Kaz: Come on guys! Let's go before the police come!

Peko: Y-Yes, we need to go.

The crew boarded the semi through the trailer, and drove off the moment a squad a police cruisers pulled in.

Police: We have a theft in progress at the city docks, all units converge!

Kaz led the eager police on a chase through the many warehouses of the docks.

Elsewhere, Vesper was driving cautiously to the meeting point.

Vesper: Damn, what have I gotten myself into?

Vesper continued to drive cautiously, avoiding speed bumps.

Kaz had just pulled onto the docks bridge, where Hiro waited below with his boat.

Kaz: Mikan! Time for a disappearing act!

Mikan: O-Okay!

Mikan pulled a mixture of medical chemicals out from her bag, and with a surprisingly powerful throw, she hit a police cruiser directly on the windshield, causing smoke to envelop the entire bridge.

Mondo: Time to go!

Kaz: Man, I don't want to leave this ride!

Mondo: Then stay here and get arrested!

Kaz: Ahhhh!

Kaz turned on the semi's cruise control, and along with the rest of the crew, jumped off the bridge into the waters below, not too far from Hiro's boat.

The crew climbed on board.

Celestia: We must depart now, Hiro.

Hiro: On it! Where's Vesper?

Peko: He took the bomb, to protect us.

Hiro took the crew to the meeting point, where Byakuya and a group of armed men in suits waited along with him.

Byakuya: You're late. Where is your lousy leader.

Before Peko could smack Byakuya in response, the sounds of a truck engine filled the southern grounds.

Vesper pulled up to the meeting point, the crew eagerly awaiting him to exit.

Vesper: Here is your nuke you damned shit.

Byakuya's face filled with rage.

The crew crowded around Vesper, with Mikan and Peko hugging him tightly.

Peko: Never do that to me again.

Mikan: O-Or me.

The crew's celebration was interrupted by Byakuya.

Byakuya: If you morons are done celebrating this minor achievement, my client wishes to view his product.

Vesper: It's in the back of the truck, go get it.

Byakuya scowled at Vesper.

The armed men approached the limo, and opened the back door, where a well dressed man stepped out.

I knew his face all to well.

Lex Luthor.

Luthor: Vesper Wilde. Pleasure to meet you again.

Vesper: Likewise, did that deal with Waynetech ever go through?

Luthor: It would have if a certain bat themed superhero didn't destroy the Braniac parts.

Vesper: So I broke into that dig site for nothing?

Luthor: Yes, sadly. Now, where is my purchase?

Vesper: Back of the truck, go crazy.

Luthor had his men take the nuke out of the truck.

Luthor: in perfect condition. Good work as always Vesper.

Vesper: I live to serve.

Byakuya: Of course it wouldn't be possible without me.

Byakuya looked down in angered defeat.

Peko: Mr. Luthor, may I ask what you need a nuclear weapon for?

Luthor: Nuclear? Is that what you think this is? It's a Bio Pollen Dispenser, it's a device used to help Bee populations reproduce at a accelerated rate, Lexcorp will be at the forefront of ecological business with this.

Kaz: So we were never in danger?

Chihiro: It was safe?

Luthor: Of course children, what made you think it was a nuke?

Mondo: Well, it kind of looks like a nuke at first glance.

Luthor: true, it does. But the job is done and everyone goes home happy. I will dispense the pay to your usual offshore account Vesper, your's as well Byakuya.

Luthor had his men load the device into another truck, and they left.

Byakuya: Our business is done, thank the gods.

While the rest of the crew talked amongst themselves, I approached Byakuya, and pulled a camera from my collar.

Byakuya: What is that?

Vesper: A camera that has all the incriminating evidence the police would need to arrest you.

A look of pure fear came across Byakuya's face.

Byakuya: Y-You wouldn't! It would incriminate you and Luthor too!

Vesper: I positioned the camera to leave myself, my crew, and Luthor out of frame. It's all you.

Byakuya became pale.

Byakuya: You bastard!

I grabbed Byakuya by the collar of his suit and lifted him against a storage container.

Vesper: You disrespected my crew, you ever do it again, you go down.

I dropped Byakuya, who sat on the ground in defeat.

I met my crew, who all gave me warm smiles.

Vesper: Let's go home.

We all left for the safe house.
