I was walking to our usual spot where we smoke and do shit.

I was looking down and my hand was jammed in my jacket's pocket. I was looking for a cigarette. . .I thought I had one on me.

We always kept lighters on out spot, we hid it behind broken chairs and tables. That's where they stashed stuff that were broken.

No, I didn't see her.

Nor did I want to.

I wanted to give her as much space as needed .

It's so hard to move on. So hard to stand back up . . .but I had no choice. Reece tried to knock some sense in me and I totally get that he was trying to help.

But I wasn't in the mood to get help.

I wanted to destroy everything.

Fuck man. . I was sounding like a hero of a melodramatic drama. .

I was so absorbed in my thoughts that I ignored the tiny figure standing right beside the wall.

I kept walking.

The figure stood up straight when it spotted me.

And when I looked up at it-

"Shit! Sorry I didn't mean to see you- shit!" I froze on the spot and blabbered .

Seeing her red face brought back all the misery and pain and everything that I had blocked out.

Swiftly, I turned around , ready to walk out when suddenly she caught my arm and spun me around.

She was breathing fast, her cheeks were flushed , her eyes were burning.

WTF!

I'm trying to do what she wanted and-

"Where are you going?" She rasped.

I looked away. " Anywhere you aren't."

She flinched at my tone and I got so fucking confused . I didn't know what to say.

Her grip on my arm tightened.

"Why... Why are you doing this to me? What did I do wrong?" Her voice got soft and my heart melted.

My face screwed up . What's wrong with girls? Why do they act like the victim ? I'm doing what to her?

"I'm doing exactly what you asked me to do! Stay away from you!" I bit out every word and her beautiful face fell.

Damn my heart for calling her beautiful even when she broke me down.

I snatched back my arm and whirled around when I heard her voice.

"I never said that! I never broke up with you! " She yelled at my back.

I could feel a headache coming up.

Turning around, I glared at her.

Let me tell you, I never glare.

That's what love does to you. Make you do everything you never did.

"What the fuck do you mean?!" I yelled back at her. She took a step back . " You were the one who said oh Val you need time!!! You need to sort out your head! You said it!" I jabbed my finger at her.

Shocked, her eyes turned into slits and that made me want to kiss her!

DAMN MY HEART!

"I said that because you weren't having sex ! I taught you didn't want me enough!" Taylor clenched her tiny fists.

Something snapped inside me.

I grabbed her by the shoulders. Her palm went flat against my chest.

"If that's the case then I'll have you right here! This instant!" I looked right into her eyes.

Heat spread on her cheeks , blooming it's way all over her face.

Not trusting myself , I let her go and backed off.

And this time she took a step towards me, engulfing the distance between us.

She took fistful of my shirt , her face inches from me.

"I love you! Do you hear me?! I'm not breaking up with you! I won't let you go ! You're mine!" She said fiercely.

And it took everything inside me not to just take her right here!!

Seeing that possessive glint in her eyes drove me mad!!

I covered her mouth with mine.

"That's our cue to leave." Chloe whispered to Reece .

Reece had that smile on her face that I meant only one thing.

He was genuinely happy . Over the moon kind of happy.

His arm snaked around my waist and he pulled me against his chest.

"What did I do to deserve you?" His green eyes burned brighter.

"I did your chem homework. Remember?" My arms went around his neck.

He rolled his eyes.

"Way to kill the mood nerd."

"I pray Val never finds out that I planted Taylor here and I told her everything he was struggling to say. She cried a little though." I placed my head against his beating heart.

He crushed me to his chest.

I melted into his embrace.

Life was good.

Valentino got his happy ending.
