( House Dayne's Theme )
House Dayne is the oldest noble house in Dorne and sits in Starfall between the Red Mountains and the Summer Sea. Through its veins runs the blood of Old Valyria. The members of House Dayne are known for their pale hair and violet eyes, just as all members of Valyrian blood possess. Yet since Lord Eamon Dayne's mother, a Blackwood, came into the family, the typical pale blonde hair did not come forward until his grandson, Edric Dayne.
Starfall is said to have been built by an old Valyrian family whose main occupation has been blacksmiths and builders. One night, the family saw a falling star coming from the sky, violet and blue, yet it stood in the sky as if it were waiting for them. The family took a ship and left Valyria, following the star to what is known as Dorne. After weeks and weeks of travelling, the star suddenly fell and landed inside the Red Mountains when they took a step on the mainland. A crate was created, and the family built their castle from the broken stone of the mountains and from the metal of the fallen star, their ancestral greatsword, Dawn.
Unlike the typical flora of Dorne and the surrounding grass and flowers of the Red Mountains, around Starfall, flowers, plants, and trees are seen that adventurers have only encountered in the ruins of Old Valyria. It is rumoured that the ancestors of House Dayne have taken something from their original home to remember it by.
Dawn, the greatsword of House Dayne, isn't given to the heir of Starfall but to whomever the sword deems worthy inside the family. Whenever the last owner of Dawn passes away, Dawn is put back into the last piece of fallen star from which it was once created, formed into an anvil. It cannot be removed once put back into stone. Only the rightful next owner of Dawn can free the sword from the stone again. There have been generations where Dawn has not been freed from the stone. The last worthy wielder of Dawn was Ser Arthur Dayne. When Eddard Stark defeated and killed Ser Arthur Dayne in battle and brought the sword back to House Dayne, Eamon Dayne put the sword back into the anvil. Arthur's brother, Percival Dayne, tried to retrieve the sword but was unable to do so. His son, Edric Dayne, is supposed to free the sword on his sixteenth namesday.

( House Frost's theme )
The ancient House Frost of Dawnbreak has existed as long as the known North of Westeros did. However, their history is filled with rebellion and strife. House Frost and House Stark are known for their rivalry, which has been held for hundreds of years since the Starks proclaimed themselves Kings in the North. House Frost deemed themselves just as worthy in conquering the lands and leading its people, so they called themselves Kings of Winter. A rebellion was started, and House Frost barely survived. Alaric Frost bent the knee to the Starks, and the Starks were now known not only as the Kings in the North but also as the Kings of Winter. The feud between their houses never faded, yet it never came to another battle. However, during the times of Aerys II Targaryen, Rickard Stark and Benjen Frost held a close friendship, even resulting in Rickard Stark naming his youngest son after his friend. Rumours spread that if Rickard Stark became the first King in the North again after many centuries, Benjen Frost would be his hand. The friendship between their houses would seep into the following lineage, with Duncan Frost being close friends with Brandon, Eddard and Benjen Stark.
However, the old bad blood resurfaced when House Frost's heir Duncan Frost was killed by Robert Baratheon at the battle of the Trident, and Eddard continued loyalty to the Baratheons, who the Frosts call an Ursuper in the shadows.
Despite its rebellious heart and unforgiving nature, House Frost holds great glory from their draft horses and mines. Beneath the castle Dawnbreak in the mountains, deep, wide-spread mines hold riches in the form of a precious metal named Frostvein, known for its lightness but instructable endurance. House Frost uses it mainly as a component of their soldiers' armour but even more in the saddles and armour for their horses.
Horses of House Frost are the most enduring, strongest and bravest horses in the Seven Kingdoms. Only just a legend, but it is said that their horses descend from the Embarrs, mystical horses said to have once been ridden by the Old Gods themselves. Horses from the lines owned by House Frost are called Eversnow Mares. They are used for carrying their metals from the mines, dragging their carriages and wheelhouses, and war horses. One Eversnow Mare is worth ten horses bred in the Royal Stables of King's Landing. One member of House Frost always holds the title of Master of the Horses, being the most skilful with horses, knowing their needs and seeing that they are fulfilled. The Master of the Horses is also responsible for the kennel.
Their ancestral home Dawnbreak is as old as Winterfell, if records are to be believed, however only the mines and the dungeons are from it original form. The first built was burned and destroyed by the Kings of the North, when the Frosts did not want to bend the knee. It is said it took them two hundred years to rebuilt, but this time the architecture changed. William Frost, an adventurer and great scholar, had married a woman from Ifequevron and had spent several years there. Fascinated by their buildings he brought along with his wife servants from Ifequevron, skilled in their unique architecture. This is why Dawnbreak has such a unique look compared to the other great castles of the North.

( AUTHOR'S NOTE )
hehe, so here you have my version of the houses frost & dayne. yes, i took a great inspiration from arthurian mythology with the sword in the stone (which by the way was NOT excalibur! people like to mix it up, as there is a tale about arthur throwing the broken sword into the sea and nimue repairing it and making it indestructable, so the sword in the stone BECOMES excalibur, but yeah.)
also house frost holds my dear heart. they have basically been outcasts for their entire lineage, but could kick asses left and right. now they are really like "nah, leave us alone in our mountains." also, if you want to imagine Dawnbreak think of Castle Dimitrescu of Resident Evil or every single illustration of Castle Dracula xD it has gothic architecture and I just LOVE this!! the area around Dawnbreak also comes VERY close to the Village and just think of romanian architecture. you will get it absolutely right! also the horses of house frost do have "special" abilities but 👀👀
for starfall, I had actually thought first of rivendell from lord of the rings BUT then i saw castle beauclair from witcher 3 and was like.... THIS FITS SO MUCH BETTER, just imagine instead of a big lake, the torrentine and the summer sea.
also feel free to scan the codes for the houses, as i made playlists for both houses.
