⋆ 𝑬xplanation: I'll start explaining the static graphic, cause it's easier to explain why I chose to make that gif if it's understandable why I chose to make the graphic like that.

If you listen to the song, the feeling it gives (at least to me) is a very harsh and angry one; the singer knows he is turning into, well, a monster, a bad person, but it's like he can't really avoid that; the bad in him is taking over the good, and he can only watch himself fall apart and ruin everything he touches, basically.

- the kinda human figure is supposed to be the singer (i mean, the subject of the song). He's lost his human shape and turned into something else; you can still tell it's a man, but you wouldn't say he is, if you know what I mean. He has something to him that creeps you out and that makes you want to avoid him. He is not your typical man and you start to fear him. Everything of him, the inside too (that I drew in a very messy way always because of the concept of being "not-okay", in a degraded state), screams "crumbling", creepy", "bad", "weird"; everything you can think about. He is unsettling and disturbing and he has clearly lost control of himself and of the situation  he is in.

- he still has a heart, because he recognizes that he is falling apart and listening to the song, you can feel the pain, the anger, because he doesn't want what he is experiencing, but he can't fight it. In the gif, the heart is, piece by piece, destroying itself. That is because the more he tries to fight or to do something the more his "bad side" affects him, until he isn't human anymore and he loses his heart: he loses the only thing that could've maybe saved him.
Also in the gif, the heart starts deteriorating slowly and gradually, the process becomes faster and faster. That's also because he once was able to control himself but soon it isn't possible anymore. Yeah it represents once again losing control.

- the sharp shapes/lines at the corners are like a cage that he can't escape. It's like he is watching himself while saying what he is feeling, saying that he can't escape. So I decided to portray that putting sharp thingies (?) Like that: even if he tried he would hurt and destroy himself even more.

- the eyes are supposed to be every component of his bad side that is taking ahold of him, watching everything he does to take over, oppressing him and controlling his life.

- the shadow would be who he was before, what remains of the good side, but it's hopelessly fading away, and as the dark grows, it becomes impossible to distinguish the good from the bad.

- I chose to use one lyric from the song as a subtitle: "the beast is ugly". I think it pretty much ties everything we said. It is ugly, it's terrible, but it's a powerful beast that will win anyway.
The cover has that ugly feeling too. You wouldn't say it's a pretty cover and you wouldn't dare saying it's a beautiful one, I hope!
It's ugly and it's messy. And thats what I wanted it to be, because that's what the monster is. The cover is the monster.

Everything is about losing control and about the feeling of not being able to escape in any way. The song ( the lyrics,  the power with which he sings, l the instruments, basically  every single component of it) really gives (to me) feelings of abandonment and resignation, of pain, of anger and hate towards what he is becoming, and again of awareness of having lost the fight with himself. It's also then about being true to yourself and becoming who you really are, even if in a forced way; becoming one with your real, horrible, scary nature of a monster.

⋆ 𝑪omment: so, I don't like it in the way I usually mean. As I said, i don't think it's pretty or anything like that, but I'm happy that I don't, because once again, it's the feeling i wanted it to give.
So I can say I'm pretty happy with the result!
For me it's about the mood, the feeling, how it's relatable and in what way, it wasn't really about it being the most beautiful cover you'll ever see.

I have to say: this is how I decided to interpret the song. The real meaning, what the singer wanted to say, may be different. Again, this is just my interpretation.

Apart from all that, I don't really know how I can be always late, but I'm literally so sorry. Rip.

⋆ 𝑹esources: its not like i used resources ahaha. I literally did everything using the shape tool, the brush tool and the lazo tool on photoshop. The only resource was the ruined texture, that I took from Google.
