Saturday Night.

I walk up the porch steps and I'm in the middle of ringing the doorbell when she opens the door.

Woah.

I mean, WOAH.

She's just standing there in the doorway looking like an angel and I'm just here standing like an idiot letting flies get in my mouth.

"Take a picture. It'll last longer" she says and leaves the door open while walking back inside.

I walk in still staring.

"Elliot! Dylan's here!" She says

"Dylan!" He says running down the stairs in his PJs and hugs my legs.

"Hey there!" I say carrying him while tickling him and turning him around.

He starts giggling and kicking around.

I let him go free and he goes plays with his cars.

"Okay so I'll probably be back by 9:30ish, you know where the munbers are and if there's an emergency I'll be at the Hill Cafe. Got it?" She says grabbing her keys and her purse from the kitchen counter and turns around.
"Dylan?" She asks

I snap out of it.

"What? Uh, yeah!" I say still kinda dazed.

"Okay" she says then walks up to Ellie and gives him a hug and kiss.

"Bye. Love you!" She says

"Love you too!" He replies while watching Cars.

We continue watching Cars on the couch then I have an idea.

"Ellie" I say

"Hm?" He says and looks up at me.

"How about we surprise your sister by visiting her in the cafe?" I ask with a grin.

"Oooh! Yeah!" He says getting excited.

This is gonna be fun.

"Okay go get dressed!" I say

He gets up but then turns to me.

"I don't know what to wear. Mommy usually picks it out" he says

"Okay I'll help you" I say and go upstairs

*-*-* Flashback *-*-*

"Please please pleeeaase Dylan?" She beggs

"Alright alright. But only because Mommy isn't home" I say

"Yay yay yay yay!" She yells while hopping.

She holds my hand and takes me up the stairs.

We go inside her room.

"Okay which one should I be?" She says while looking in her closet as I sit at the edge of her bed.

"A pink princess?" She holds up the huge pink dress

"A purple fairy?" She holds up the purple not-so-huge dress with wings.

"Or..." She says while hiding it in the closet

"A rock star?!" She asks and pulls out this whole outfit composed of black boots, black tights, leather skirt with belt, black and blue striped long sleeved shirt, leather vest, and a fake headset.

"Don't forget the gloves!" She says and pulls out the two little leather gloved from her closet.

"Hmmm" I say pretending to think and scratch my chin with a funny face.

"I think we'll go with..... Rock Star!" I say

And she nods her head "Excellent choice" she says

Where did she get excellent from? This kid knows so much. I thought.

"Okay " now you have to go wait outside while I change. So it could be a surprise!" She says and pushes me out the door.

I wait there for a long time.

I knock.

"Genevieve I've been waiting here for hours! Are you done yet?" I say

"Hold your horses Mister, I'm coming!" She yells

I still continue to knock, just to annoy her.

"I'm coming!" She yells

"I just can't get little thing to..AH BUHUMBUG" she mumbles then yells and opens the door.

"What do you think?" She asks and does a twirl.

"You look beautiful" I say and she does.
"I was trying to put on the gloves but they didn't want to get on so I gave up" she says

"Well let's see" I say while I look at the gloves

"Did you try putting this one on this one and this one on this one?" I ask while showing the left glove to her right hand and vice versa.

"Yeah." She said while slowly nodding her head like waiting for to correct her.
I switched the gloves and put them on her hands.

"You see you shouldn't give up. You just have to find another solution" I say

"What does solution mean?" She asks

"It means the answer to a problem.  How you want to solve the problem" I say

"Oooh. Okay" she says

We play a little bit and she takes off most of the leather besides the black tights and striped shirt. Then we play dragon on her bed.

"I'm gonna getcha!" She says with the blanket as her wings.

"Wait! Don't take me alive!" I say and flash my camera on my phone.

"Owww! You know how much that bothers my eyes!" She says while running them.

"Awww I'm sorry" I say and give her a hug.

"Let me see" I say and take her fingers off her eyes.

There's nothing wrong but I know the dots she sees after must be bothering.

"Hey at least I got s nice picture of you" I say and show her my phone

*-*-* Reality Again *-*-*

"Dylan? Dylan!" Ellie yells

"Uh? Oh hey buddy" I say and pick him up

"You okay?" He asks

"Yeah I just spaced out for a bit. Sorry" I say

"Okay. Let's go find something to wear" he says and tries to wiggle free.

I let him go and went with him to the closet.

He showed me some clothes like little jeans and shirts.

"Do you have any costumes?" I ask

His eyes lit up

"Yeah!" He says and practically runs to the closet.

"I have... Batman, Spiderman, and a Transformer!" He says

"Hmmm. I think the transformer is the coolest" I say

"Me too. Look! I'm a car now!" He says and crouched down to look like a real car.

"Wow. That's awesome!" I say

"Yeah!" He agrees

"Okay you ready?" I ask and he nods his head.

"Okay let's go surprise Lucinda!" I say

"Yeah!" He says and jumps.

We get in the car and I put his seat belt on.

Once we get the cafe, I order two hot chocolates for Ellie and I.

I see Lucinda's beautiful blue eyes, almost squinting, and her face lighting up with the prettiest smile.

Wow.

But then I look to the guy she's looking at, and it's definitely not Josh in front of her.

It's Ricky.

OHHHHHHHHHH RICKY. HIS ARCH NEMESIS?!

WHY DID LUCINDA LIE? WHY?!?!

LOL HI PEOPLE!

It's been a long time I know. First chapter of the new year! Happy New Year!

(To be honest I can't believe I'm still doing this story, which is great though)
