Both me and Ruby's jaw drop so I lift mine and Ruby's jaw back up and stare in disbelief at the young headmaster.

Y/n: But I'm not even going to be a good lea-

Ozpin: Y/n, you may not see it but you have as much potential as miss Rose for being leader.

Y/n: Well, I'm not even going to tell an-

Ozpin: Your team has already been informed.

I cursed under my breath and grabbed Ruby's hand while walking to our dorm We then see Port walking past Weiss while she is in shock.

Y/n: Heh thanks Port

Ruby's Pov

We were walking to our dorm no words were said although Y/n was really down right now so I put my hand and he stopped looked at me startled.

Ruby: What's wrong Y/n?

He looked down and kept walking, avoiding eye-contact with me.

Y/n: Nothing...

Ruby: That's not true.

Y/n: (Looking down) It's just like, (sigh) I don't know if it will be a good idea.

Ruby: (Puts hand on shoulder) Well, we will see, okay? If it doesn't work out, then it will just be back to normal.

Y/n: (Groan)

Ruby: But, if there's one thing, I've learnt from you then it's that you always have to keep trying.

Y/n: But we've only known each other for like a few days. How do you know that?

Ruby: Wild guess.

Y/n's Pov

I smiled and we started walking to our dorm and we found it, Ruby was about to open it, but I stopped her.

Ruby: I'm sure Blake and Yang won't mind... But Weiss is a different story. Hehe...

I just start thinking how Weiss will react. Oh god this is going to be very heated.

Ruby: Hey, Y/n. Can you let go of my hand?

Y/n: Oh yeah, I just malfunctioned.

I took a deep breath, and she opened the door to see Blake and Yang talking but they stopped as soon as they looked at me.

Y/n: U-umm hey guys...

Yang and sat up and started walking to me.

Yang: So... YOU'RE our second in command...

She cracks her knuckles and activates her semblance, her eyes turn red. Ruby start's to get worried. She goes to punch me, so I closed my eyes and braced for the impact... But in never came.

Yang: Congrats!

Her eyes turn back to purple while me and Ruby sigh in relief. I wiped the sweat of my forehead.

Y/n: Phew...

Yang: What, you thought I was going to punch you.

Y/n: Yep!

Yang: (laugh) You haven't given me a reason too yet. Anyway, let's get to bed.

I jumped in my sleeping bag and Opened my scroll for a few minutes

Ruby: Y/n Let's study!

Y/n: Studying? My uncle told me that was for nerds.

Blake: Has he ever went to a combat school?

Y/n: Uhhh.. I don't think so.

Ruby's walked upto my sleeping bag. Ruby then pulls out a massive book which she slammed on my lap.

Y/n: OUCH!!!

I then looked at Ruby slightly angrily, but she closed her eyes and faced me.

Y/n: WHAT WAS THAT FOR!?

Ruby: As team leader I command you to study with me?

Y/n: Alright, but still, you don't need to smash a giant book on my lap!... How do you even study?

She had a look of shock on her face.

Ruby: ... You've never studied before?

I looked down kind of regretting my choice of words

Y/n: I umm uhh...

Ruby: Well, all you have to do is read this.

I grabbed the book and started to read it but it was so hard since i've never been taught by anyone.

Y/n: Umm Ruby. This isn't English.

Ruby: The book's the wrong way round.

My Face turned red and I quickly turned the book around. Ruby giggled

Y/n: L-lets read. Rapier wasps are a Dangerous species because of.. Their (Yawning).. Where's the Guide to killing Grimm in this book?

She laughed and put her arm where my hood was and I flinched and groaned in pain. She lets go and tries to pull my scarf away to see why It was hurting so much, but I smacked her hands away and covered my neck.

Y/n: Just... don't worry about my neck. It's fine. Beowulf's paws sure are sharp (chuckle)

Ruby: A Beowulf? I literally saw you solo a death stalker.

Y/n: Well, (Rubbing nape) I know I acted like it was nothing but... That was one of the coolest things I've ever done in my life.

Weiss Then Opens the door and looks at me.

Weiss: So, your ou-

Y/n: Yes, I am...

Weiss: Well, I don't think it's a bad idea... I think you and Ruby are quite capable!

Me and Ruby just looked towards each other.

Ruby: Thanks Weiss.

Y/n: It's just like a thing where. -

Weiss: I know how this works. I'm not stupid. And for a guy that's never been to a combat school before Your both strong and smart. I'm sure you won't let us down. (Smiling)

Y/n: (Giggle) I wont

She just looked at me and Ruby's Coffee cup.

Weiss: How do you both take your coffee?

Ruby: I umm do-

Weiss: Answer the question!

Ruby: Uhh! Cream and 5 sugars!

She then looked at me.

Weiss: What about you?

Y/n: I'm more of a hot chocolate guy but.. Extra cream and 17 sugars.

Weiss: A-Are you sure?

Y/n: And no milk.

She sighed and gave us both our coffee.

Y/n: Thank Weiss.

Weiss: Just know that Ill be the best teammate you will ever have. Good luck studying.

Ruby then turned to me.

Ruby: You don't like milk in your coffee?

Y/n: I do, but I have my own milk.

I then revealed my flask from under my shirt and poured some into my cup and mixed it, I noticed she was staring at it so I offered her some and she poured some into her cup.

I then go back to reading and started to get quicker, but I then get sleepy and fall on my back.

Y/n: As a second in command, I have to Be smart. I'm going to study for Hours!

Ruby's Pov (10 minutes later)

Y/n was dead asleep on the bed he looked like he was in the deepest sleep possible.

Y/n: *Sleep talking* I love you...

Ruby frowned that he was sleep talking but sighed and hugged him

Ruby: I love you too...

Y/n: ....Hot.... Chocolates can speak?

I chuckled and lied down with me still reading some of the books.

Ruby: Nope they can't.

Weiss: Oh my god.

Blake: We all heard that you know.

Yang: You so have a Crush on Y/n!

Ruby: (Embarrassed, panicking while whispering) Shut up, Shut up.

Blake: We won't tell anyone.

Weiss: Were not that cruel.

Ruby: (Relieved Sigh) Thanks, I guess...

Weiss: (Cruelly) Although, I just think he sees you as a friend.

Blake: Yeaa...

Yang: One day Sis.

Ruby: (Getting up) Let's just go to bed...

Y/n: *Sleep talking* No not Ali A's intro...
