Y/n's POV

I was walking with Qrow. My heart was thumping rapidly my breaths were deepened slightly. We were walking through the halls Silently. Nothingness occupies the area. I had grabbed my weapon beforehand. I was ready for a fight or whatever Qrow was going to put me through.

To my misfortune, a girl that was walking past happened to notice me, and when she did she gasped excitedly. She pulled out her scroll and rushed towards me.

Girl: Oh my gosh! You're the Badass of Beacon, Right? Can I get a picture?!

She jumped excitedly. I was very awkward. This type of thing probably happens once or twice every 2 days and of course, this happened to be that time. I sighed.

Y/n: Umm, sure.

Qrow frowned.

Y/n: But no touching okay? I have a girlfriend.

Qrow's frown went to a light smile. He was not contemplating on assassinating me... S much as he did 2 seconds ago.

Girl: Okay!

I looked and smiled at the camera. She was beyond Ecstatic. She ran away.

Girl: Thank you! Wait till my friends hear about this.

Y/n: ....

Qrow: Were almost there, "Badass of Beacon."

I was even more terrified. This was going horribly. If only that girl didn't recognize me this would've been a lot less awkward.
We were walking to Glynda's classroom that was unfortunately Empty meaning Qrow had all access to the room.

Qrow: Do you know why I've brought you here?

Y/n: Too fight?

Qrow: Well, that was one of the reasons. But two was to get to know if your worthy of dating my niece.

Y/n: Worthy?

Qrow: My niece deserves the best.

Y/n: I can assure you that I am.

Qrow: And how could i be sure... You sure seem popular with the ladies.

Y/n: Qrow... I would never do such a thing.

Qrow: You better not. Because I'll be the one to make sure that you cant stand anymore. And I know you can regenerate. So I'll be having my fun with you that is... if you do break Ruby's heart.

Y/n: Y-Yes sir.

Qrow: How long have you two been dating?

Y/n: I think a little more than a few months?

Qrow: So your serious about her.

Y/n: I don't know how to not make this sound Cringe... But she's my best friend. We both have so much fun together, I think she's beautiful and sweet and funny.... Umm... She's just perfect for me. I love her. And I'm sure I always will.

Qrow smiled at my answer. He chuckled and closed his eyes for a brief second.

Qrow: I see. Hmm, I think you passed the first step.

Y/n: Phew.

Qrow: Now for the second step. (Puts Harbinger in Sword mode) Let's see how worthy you are. This will determine how I word things to Tai.

Y/n: (Smirks) You can beat me in that video game. But not in this. (Puts Weapon in Sword mode)

Meanwhile...

Ruby's POV

To be honest I've never thought I felt nervous when it came to this. My heart was beating faster than usual a felt a weird feeling in my stomach and my knees were twitching.

We were out in Vale. We were walking through the city looking at different buildings. We saw an ice cream van and Cayde lead me to it.

Cayde: Okay Ruby. Which one do you want? I heard you like cookies?

Ruby: Hmm, I'll take the Strawberry one. (Laughs) I don't only like Cookies.

Cayde: (Hands Lien) Hello, Bossman. Long time no see.

Bossman: Cayde! And your with your nephews Girlfriend?

Cayde: Yes, were out for a talk.

Bossman: Ahh, I see. Good luck!

Cayde: (Walking away) Thanks!

I was enjoying my Ice cream. It was delicious of course. This made my nerves lessen a little and I felt abit calmer.

Cayde: So, Ruby.

Ruby: Y-Yes?

Cayde: Relax, I'm not going to do anything. Not like your uncle anyway. So, How did you both meet?

Cayde: I like the answer. And I can agree on them things. He's also my number one priority in my life.

Ruby: I... It's just complicated. Well not between us, I mean right now I think he's the most popular guy in Beacon, multiple girls asked him to the dance, Some girls even ask him for photos and Some even try to flirt with him. He shuts it all down obviously, but... I don't know. He's all super popular and loads of girls would love to have him as a boyfriend, he's super loyal but I'm just scared that, well.. What if worst comes to worst?

Cayde: "Wow this guys killed it" Hmm, Ruby. I get how you feel. But, If there's one thing to know about Y/n, if he sets his mind on something. Its literally Impossible to change his mind. Plus I never raised him to be... A cheater, he's always been loyal.

Ruby: Yeah. (Brightens up slightly) I guess your right.

Cayde: I approve of you dating Y/n.

Ruby: Yes!

Cayde: And don't worry, if he breaks your heart. I'll rip out his. Okay?

Ruby: (Smiling) Okay!

Cayde: Let's go back. I wouldn't be surprised if Y/n and Qrow are fighting.

Ruby: Yep. Thanks for the talk.

Cayde: No problem. Normally I'd test you, but I saw you in the tournament. I think you fight well.

Ruby: Thanks! Y/n's really good too. Better than me!

Cayde: That's because he was trained by the best!

Y/n' s POV

Time for me to kick an old mans ass. Ruby's uncles ass. I also put my weapon into Sword mode replicating him. I stood firm and put my sword so that it was on my head. We both ran at each other at full speed and both hit our first shot. I could feel no emotion from him. He was as calm as a brick. But I was angry. Angry that this guy wanted me and Ruby to break up. But the wasn't going to happen.

We exchange blows. I slashed his head but he blocked I then Change the angle which I was holding his weapon but the same outcome came again. He slashed at me and I ducked he then Turned around and put his sword on his back which blocked my slash from my strike. As he was turning around I pulled out my ace of spades and shot him as he was turning. He got hit which drained his aura by 9%

Qrow 91%
Y/n 100%

Qrow: Cheap shot.

Y/n: No such thing as a cheap shot when it comes to fighting for this.

Qrow: Let me go serious.

Y/n: Same.

We both smirked and continue. I shot some more bullets towards Qrow but this time he spun his sword and blocked all of them while running towards me. I was on the back foot. He was consistently coming forward as if he had no respect for my power which made me frustrated.

He came closer and slashed at me again I block but we both come together swords facing towards each other. I was nearing 16 and this guy was in his 30's meaning he was stronger.

Qrow: Wanna quit?

Y/n: Grrrr, Shut up!

He noticed as I got more angry he was becoming more stronger. I started pushing his blade back easily which made him go backwards. I span around and try to hit him but he just landed back and slashed me. While he hit me he adjusted his shotgun at me and shot. I put my sword up but it wasnt enough to block all the bullets.

Qrow: Naturally, L/n's dont have much aur-

Y/n: Shut up!

I charged towards him and threw my weapon at him he jumped up but this was what I I intended. I slid forward and shot him... but it missed. Just my luck. That was a good chance but I blew it.

While in the air Qrow made his sword come down and he shot towards me. I blocked easily. When Qrow jumped on the floor he transformed Harbinger into a scythe. He smirked but I kept a focused look.

I fired more bullets but they either missed it they were blocked. I put out my sword and it extended into a spear like weapon but quickly came back. He was quite startled by this but after he got hit he slipped to the outside and he span his scythe around and after I blocked all of them, he kicked me sending me back.

Y/n 53%

I went back but was cautious. I went low and swiped my sword towards his feet and slashed him upwards. He wasn't expecting it so he got hit but he succeeded in blocking the two side hits. I Hit him down and landed on the ground safely.

Qrow: 65%
Y/n 51%

I could see Qrow studying my weaknesses and being vigilant. Little did I know he had me all figure out. He jumped up towards the side of me and brought my scythe which essentially dragged me backwards he then dug his scythe in the ground trying to hit me. He didn't land but his follow up he pushed his scythe towards me and pushed me off balance slightly.

He spun his scythe around me trying to land but I dodge all of them I landed a cheeky slash to the abdomen but he kept going as the aggressor.

Qrow 54%
Y/n 21%

I look up to see my aura is low. This sent me into a fury. My eyes glowed a shade of red and very faint black smoke was emitting from my body. Qrow smirked as he got his sword ready. I slashed him forward side to side and downward and although he blocked it I felt the sheer force pushing him back.

I kept slashing hoping one was going to hit eventually one did and I felt is Glide off his aura, I knew that was a big hit but my excitement was cut off with a Counter left hook the Qrow through which made me stumble back.

He then launched towards me and got up really close and fired his shotgun draining whatever aura I had left.

I fell onto the ground from the pain. My head was hurting and my legs felt heavy. I got up with my weapon in hand. My legs were shaking. Qrow came up to me and unsheathed his weapon.

Qrow: Heh, its not everyday that a kid like you makes me take that much damage. You've got heart.

Y/n: No no. Let's keep going!

Qrow: Hmm...

Y/n: Please...

Qrow: Nope.

Y/n: Huh?

Qrow: You can barely stand up. This fight is over.

Y/n: ....

Qrow: But... You did well. And I can see that you truly care for Ruby.

Y/n: Wait, That means-

Qrow: (Reluctantly) (Sigh) You can date my niece.

I dropped my weapon and flopped on my back with my arms out as if I was making a snow angle. I smiled while breathing heavily. I heard a noise and looked up and Qrows sword was inches away from my face. My pupils constricted

Qrow: (Sternly) And remember. Break her heart and I-

?????: QROW!!!

Oh boy... who do you guys think it is?
