Y/n's POV

I was sitting with half an eye open, to be honest, just wanted to get this class over with So I can just carry on my research.

Pyrrha was fighting Mercury and she just won. What a surprise... I just opened my flask and drank the last drop. Man, I'm really tired I haven't even gone to sleep in 2 days.

Cardin put his hand up.

Goodwitch: Yes?

Cardin: Can I fight Y/n?

She looked at her watch and looked at both of us.

Goodwitch: Hmmm, yes. Y/n do you accept?

Y/n: Huh, is that even a question?

I just got up on the arena and stood there, gun in hand.

He then charged at me I jumped back but he struck me straight away in the chest, everyone was pretty confused, but team RWBY knew how weak he was at the moment.

I got up pretty confused then he hit me in the back of the head. Everyone gasped at him for showing no mercy. Everyone got pretty worried, but I was in sicko mode now.

sped behind him and then the air was cold

Was all that was her heard as he turned around and got slashed in the chest. I then sped to another place and repeated the same motion again and again. After my last hit he was disorientated. I used my semblance and my body lit on fire. I aimed at him and sht. The bullet hit him with insane force and pushed him back on the wall. His aura shattered. While I only received little damage.

I then walked away back to my seat.

Y/n: Tadaaa.

Goodwitch: And the winner is Y/n... Again. However, I think that you should get more rest. You don't even get homework.

I sat next to my team, and I just stretched my body out and looked at her with a smile.

Y/n: Sleep... is for the weak...

I then passed out as my head was about to hit the table. Weiss put her palm in the way so that my head wouldn't get bruised. I slept like a baby.

Ruby's POV

Ruby: "I just watched Y/n passed out, I knew it! Something was off I mean you did of bags under his eyes, so he was obviously tired. I just wish I could help him."

Goodwitch: Team RWBY. Explain?

We shrugged our shoulder, but he weakly put up his thumb.

Y/n: I-I'm okay...

Goodwitch: Hmm that shall do for today. And remember the dance is this weekend I will not accept any excuses.

I came on the stage while the bell rung and picked up Y/n but he instantly came off.

Y/n: Hey! Hey. Get off. I can do it myself.

He stood up and walked back with us.

Ruby: (Picks up Y/n) Your being very cranky lately. And your very tired. You should get some rest........ Y/n?

I looked at him to see him sleeping on my shoulder, but he was very light, so I just picked him up

Sun then came up.

Sun: Hey Blake!

She just looked at him.

Sun: So, I heard about the dance this weekend pretty lame but I'm thinking me and you not lame!

Blake: What?

Sun: The dance! You wanna go or what?

Blake: I don't have time for stupid dance I thought you of all people would get that.

Sun looked very sad he slumped to the floor and rethought his life choices.

Y/n: Ouch.

Y/n's POV

I was there on Weiss' bed sitting down. Half asleep.

Yang: We want you to go to the dance.

Blake: What?!

Ruby and everyone just looked at me who looked down and thought of their request.

Ruby: Y/n? Are you n-not going to the dance?

Everyone looked at me, waiting for an answer.

Y/n: Well, I want to... But i have important work to do.

Ruby: But... You've probably got so many girls that want to go with you.

Y/n: ...

Yang: Blake, Y/n we're worried about you.

Weiss: You barely sleep you hardly eat. This investigation is starting to mess with your head.

Blake: But people's lives are at stake!

Y/n: And I need to find Roman.

Yang: We know but thanks to you we know they're operating in the southeast.

Weiss: Were just telling you to take it easy for one day.

Blake looked down and came to a decision.

Blake: I think this is a colossal waste of time.

Weiss and Yang frowned as Blake walked through the door probably on the way to the library... Still the dance would be nothing if Y/n isn't going.

Ruby's POV

I just sighed and flopped on Weiss bed

Yang: Don't worry Ruby he will go.

I just shook my head.

Yang: Trust me I have a plan.

Blake then put an eyebrow up and went to the door. She looked outside in looked to the floor.
She came in with Y/n on the floor barely awake. He looked like a wreck.

Y/n: Leave me alone.

Blake then put him on my bed, and he instantly tried getting up but 3 days of no sleep is a pain.

Ruby: Come on Y/n, get some sleep-

The doorbell rang and Weiss answered it. It was Jaune holding his guitar.

Jaune: WEEIIIISSSS!!!!

We all got startled. Me and Ruby looked at each other confused.

Jaune: Weiss-sch-nee will you accompany me? To the daaaaance ooon... Sundayyyyy?

Weiss: Are you done?

Jaune: Yes?

Weiss: No.

She slammed the door on him, and we just stared at her.

Y/n: And that's why they call you the ice queen.

She got offended.

Weiss: Other people just care about the perks of my last name.

Ruby: Yeah, but Jaune doesn't look like the type of guy to do that.

Y/n nodded in approval.

Weiss: besides I already have a date in mind.

We all sighed and just carried on with whatever we were doing.

Y/n: I'll just do it here.

He pulled out his scroll and started to research more stuff. Then I thought of totally my last resort.

Ruby: Hmm let me just go and get you to keep you awake

He smiled and looked at me.

Y/n: Thanks.

I smiled back and jumped off of my bed dad is actually do this I got some sleeping powder and poured it into a monster energy can and stirred it. I jumped back on the bed and gave it to him he looked at it and smiled at me again.

Y/n: Thanks again.

He drank from the can, and he loved it. He drank the whole thing in about 30 seconds. A minute later he was barely awake until he dozed off.

Ruby: I'm sorry...

Yang: Ruby, we need to talk.

They go into the bathroom.

Ruby: What is it?

Yang: It's about Y/n.

Ruby: O-Oh. What about him?

Yang: I know you like him.

Ruby: Well, (looks down) Yeaaa..

Yang: So, are things going well between you too?

Ruby: Ugh, yes but he just... I don't know it's like he doesn't see me that way, I guess. Which is fine I mean like... Hes just a friend.

Yang: You need to get more confidence.

Ruby: I know it's just a losing battle.

Yang: Then find out.

Ruby: Hmm?

Yang: So, ask him to the dance?

Ruby: But has not going-

Yang: If you ask him then he might.

Ruby: Yang, me and you both know what he will say.

Yang: No, you don't.

Ruby: But... Yang, why are you telling me this?

Yang: I'm telling you... Because I love you. And you're my sister, So I'm giving you one chance. (Looks away and sighs)

Ruby: One... Chance?

Yang: If you don't ask him. I will.

My eyes widened. I looked at Yang in disbelief. I was at a loss for words.

Ruby: Y-You wouldn't.

Yang: I won't. If you ask him.

I sat on the bathtub with my hands in my face, not crying but processing what was happening.

Ruby: ".... What do I do? This is such a mess..."

I felt her sit down, she put one arm around me.

Yang: I know you feel awkward sometimes, but you have to face your fears sometimes. You'll never win if you don't try. I've seen multiple girls ask him and Hes said no. You've probably got the best shot.

Ruby: But what if he doesn't like me back, Hes literally shown no signs.

Yang: I've seen a few but I don't know.

Ruby: ...

Yang: Cmon sis. you have to, it's been like a few months now.

Ruby took her hands off her face and looked in the air. I started feeling butterflies in my stomach and feeling slightly lightheaded.

Ruby: Fine... But if it doesn't work out its all your fault.

Yang: If it doesn't work out at least you'll have no regrets.

Ruby: ...True... (Sigh) Thanks, Yang.

Yang: No problem. Just let me know how it goes.

Ruby: And Blake?

Yang: Don't worry about Blake. I've got a plan for her.

Ruby: Okay... (Chuckle) This is either going to be the best night of my life or the worst.

Yang: Best of luck! (Walks out of bathroom)

Third person POV

Cinder, Emerald and Mercury were in their dorm, Emerald and Cinder was sitting while Mercury was doing sit-ups.

They were discussing info on everything.

Emerald: And finally, Y/n.

Cinder: Aaaahhhh. The L/n.

Mercury: He's strong. You should've seen how he too Cardin down. But you can take him, but it'll be a good fight.

Emerald: His semblance Is Something to do with emotion.

Cinder: Hmm, He doesn't seem to have used his abilities yet.

Mercury looked at Emerald.

Mercury: So, what do we do?

Cinder: We wait.

Mercury just layed on the floor:

Mercury: I hate waiting.

Cinder: Aww, don't worry Mercury we have a fun weekend ahead of us.

She smiled nefariously.
