DIY Home Makeover

The next morning, the Bad Guys were sleeping soundly on couches and floor after a whole day of hardwork making spaces for their own rooms, and helping a lady retrieving her purse from the thief in secret. First day out of prison was a whole new change and tiresome for these sixsome.

Just then, they heard a muffled alarm clocking ringing, and this awakened the Bad Guys.

Piranha groaned tiredly, "It's morning already?"

Hornet, who was still on top of Piranha's head, stretched his arm to reach for the alarm clock, but when he opened his eyes, the clock wasn't beside him. He looked around to search for the ringing alarm clock, but it was out of sight, "Wait, where's the alarm clock?"

The rest of the team followed the sound of the alarm clock as they turned to Snake, thinking the sound came from him.

Snake laughed as he choked out of an alarm clock that was still ringing, "Wakey-wakey, dumb-dumbs!"

"Oh good, you set up the alarm at 7am," Wolf grinned.

"I didn't. It always rings every 7am," Snake corrected.

When Wolf put his white tux on, he then announced to his friends, who all got off the couch, "Well, all we have to do now is to make a lot of decorating for our rooms."

"And I already made a model right here," Hornet put the model of the rooms he made out of doll accessories on the table.

But then, the cat jumped onto the table, and started playing with the model, destroying the whole thing in the process, "Meow!"

"Ooh, cool it, kitty," Wolf chuckled as he picked up the cat turning back to his friends, "Forget the model. We're going to make all of our rooms perfect!"

Shark squealed excitedly, "Oooh, then we can spend every minute of every day together for the rest of our lives."

Tarantula chuckled while patting Shark's cheek, "Heh, heh, we already did that."

"It's going to be..." Piranha said before singing the last word of his sentence, "ICONICA!"

"We want our room designs to be just like how we dreamed of. I mean, the reason we built our respective rooms is having a space on our own, and we're gonna make them look like our own. There's a lot to get done, but we can do anything if we work together, just like how we always do," Wolf then walked towards the white sheets, and pulled it off, revealing the materials like cans of paints, handy tools, wood, nails, bolts, screws, saws, measuring tape, brushes, cans of glue, trowels, and wallpapers they needed to renovate their rooms "Now, I think if we just..." But they couldn't wait for Wolf to finish his sentence as the rest of the team took their materials, and spread out to their respective rooms, "Enthusiasm! I like it!"

Wolf picked up the left-over materials, and went to his room.

The Bad Guys got right to work, decorating their soon-to-be bedrooms, excited to see the rooms come to life.

Wolf was busy using a finishing trowel to apply some plaster on the bare wall, to fill up any cracks, before he could apply some paint. He applied some of the sticky plaster onto the trowel and then pushed it on the wall, like if it was a paintbrush.

Shark was screwing a lightbulb into the ceiling lamp on his room's ceiling, humming a small tune in his head as he made sure that the lightbulb stayed in place and was working. When he tried to flick the light switch to make sure that it would turn on, the light worked easily.

Snake was rolling out some brown wallpaper that had designs of green money bills on it. He chuckled excitedly, "Sleeping in a safe, might as well make it feel like I'm sleeping with money around me." Snake laid a piece of the wallpaper on the floor and applied some glue to it before using a roller to stick it to the wall.

Tarantula was hard at work hammering a small plank onto a wooden hinge so she could have her own shelf. As she hammered one last nail in, she quickly swapped tools and grabbed a screwdriver to screw in the hinges so they would stay attached to the wall and not slip.

Piranha and Hornet were busy, in their rooms, smashing a giant hole in their walls so that they both could each have their own window.

In Piranha's room, Piranha was using his wrecking ball to smash a giant circular hole, saying, "Alright! This window is gonna be super sweet!"

After giving his wrecking ball one more mighty throw, the impact made the hole perfect, as Piranha quickly grabbed a roll of duct tape and some blue curtains, quickly tapping the curtains over the hole so anyone from the outside wouldn't see where their hideout was.

Stepping back to admire his work, Piranha then said, "Now, to build the window frame, and add the glass, and attach the window to the hole."

Meanwhile, Hornet was finished using the sledgehammer to make the hole in his wall for his window, and similar to what Piranha did, he used tape as a temporary holder for a set of orange curtains, attaching it to the wall.

Once it was secured, Hornet admired his handiwork, "Step 2: making the proper curtain holders so I don't have to rely on the duct tape."

Aside from decorating their own individual rooms, each team member also made sure to help one another out as well. Piranha volunteered to help Hornet with building the curtain holder while Hornet lent a hand in building the circular window frame for Piranha's window. Tarantula was helping Shark screw in a door that would lead to a closet he made, in his room, where he can store all of his disguises safely, while in Tarantula's room, Shark was aiding in helping in positioning Tarantula's bed, moving it to where she told him to. Wolf was lending a helping hand with Snake in Snake's room, moving the bed towards where snake wanted it to be, and in Wolf's room, Snake was helping to nail together Wolf's new bed frame, with the two fistbumping/fist-head-bumping together in success.

The Bad Guys: Just a little touch-up
Just a little paint
And we'll be done in no time

Hornet: Hey, this is looking great!

The Bad Guys: 'Cause they say many hands
And the work gets lighter
And working with your friends
Will make the whole day brighter

Gonna work, work, work
Got so much to do
Well, I don't mind the work
'Cause I get to work with you

Gonna work, work, work
Make our dreams come true
'Cause when we work together
There's nothing we, nothing we can't do

Tarantula: I found the perfect color

Hornet: Yeah, and you know that I measure right

Piranha: 'Cause we'll be done in no time

Shark: And we'll make this place a delight

The Bad Guys: 'Cause they say there is friendship
In everybody
And when I need a hand
I've got you there beside me

Gonna work, work, work...

However, the more that the team tried to work together, the more that things started to get a little messy, which also led to a bit of conflict arising.

In Tarantula room's, Tarantula was pushing forward a black paint can, "Okay, so for my room's color, I'm thinking all black, just like my computer, to go with the high-tech ensemble."

However, Shark was looking at the walls, and told Tarantula, "Uh...I'm not so sure."

This made Tarantula curious, "What do you mean"?

Shark framed his hands to look like a picture frame, and said, "I'm seeing the walls a nice shade of white, and with cute little girly designs for it. Something very fitting for a lady."

Tarantula scowled and commented while crossing her arms, "Uh, excuse me, but I'm not into girly things like you are."

Shark, a little surprised, turned to face Tarantula, "But it'd make it cute though."

Tarantula groaned while retorting, "For you, maybe, but not me. I'd rather inhale one of Piranha's fart clouds than have anything girly in my room!"

Meanwhile, in Hornet's room, Piranha was busy using some sort of sealer glue to attach the light green glass pieces to the circular window frame, when Hornet came in, saying at first, "Okay, I attached the- whoa, whoa, stop!"

Piranha stopped what he was doing and asked, "Everything okay? What's wrong?"

Hornet answered, "No, nothing's wrong, but I didn't want those light green glass pieces for my window. I wanted the light blue ones."

Piranha then commented, "But light green is colorful, and besides, having light blue glass is boring."

Hornet then replied, "But that color is gonna make it very hard to really see anything through the window. Light blue is more common and easier to glance through."

Piranha then asked, "Does the color really matter? As long as you can see through a window, that's what matters. So, what were you gonna say?"

Hornet sighed tiredly, "Anyways, I finished installing that shelf you wanted. Place it right next to your bed near the wall."

Piranha dropped the sealer glue gun in shock, and shouted, "What?!" and ran to his room, where he saw a wooden shelf installed next to his bedside, and it was short too.

Hornet then added, "I figured you wanted it there so it'd be easier to reach your things."

Piranha then commented, "But I didn't want the shelf there; I wanted it above my bedside. I wanted to be able to reach things up high, not just have it casually at the same level as me."

In Snake's room, Wolf was putting some fluffy, colorful, throw pillows on the bed, as Snake, who watched while feeling a little bit uncomfortable, commented, "Uh buddy, as much as I appreciate the help, I don't need that many throw pillows."

Wolf chuckled, "Yeah, but imagine how comfy you'll feel when you nap. It'll be pure—" Just then, he suddenly heard a crash.

Wolf ran outside and ended up witnessing what was possibly a huge mess being made.

Shark was trying to push a huge dresser and accidentally collided into Piranha, making him splatter paint everywhere from the floor to the walls.

Tarantula was putting what she "thought" was paint on a blank wallpaper piece and saw Hornet coming by to pick it up, and he got hopelessly stuck. As the little bug struggled to get free, Tarantula looked at the "paint can" and saw she had been actually putting tan glue on it, making Tarantula sheepishly smile and chuckle.

Wolf, who was the only team member who didn't need any help, tried to clean up some of the messes the other team members were making, but it was very hard, especially with Piranha often tossing pieces of furniture around to the other team members, who scurried to catch them before anything could break.

Wolf saw Snake accidentally get wrapped up by a long measuring tape that was being dragged off by Shark, who wanted to borrow it.

Tarantula was lifting up a chair to sweep up the garbage underneath it, but it was very heavy, and it accidentally toppled and fell onto Piranha's foot, making the fish scream so loud, and hilarious, like a girl.

Hornet was trying to neatly paint his bedroom walls orange, but Snake was messily painting the door to his bedroom black, and it splattered everywhere on his wall, including on Hornet himself.

Shark was adding glitter to all of the beds in everyone's rooms, shouting, "Glitter makes everything better!"

Once Piranha got his foot free, he tried to push a giant dresser into his room, gasping for air while saying, "how... much... further, hermano?"

Tarantula and hornet were trying to hang up lights in Hornet's room, but the lights fell, and both bugs got tangled up.

"We're stuck!" Hornet cried.

Snake pulled over what looked like a huge vacuum, "this can help us cleanup the place," he turned it on, but the vacuum instantly lost control and dragged Snake along, who screamed as the vacuum zoomed all over the place.

A very scared and horrified Wolf looked at all of the bedrooms that were nowhere near completion in renovating, and were full of gigantic messes.

Wolf was close to panicking when he saw that all of the soon-to-be bedrooms were complete messes, unlike what anyone had imagined them to be, and it didn't help that in the center of the chaos, a lot of panicking was occurring there too.

Hornet and Tarantula, who were still tangled in the lights, came out, with hornet flying while Tarantula was hopefully "stringing" along, as Hornet pleaded, "Someone get these lights off of us!"

Snake was still getting hopelessly dragged around by the vacuum, screaming for his life.

Piranha was trying to balance a huge wooden plank he was holding up, struggling from the weight.

Shark was wrapping the walls with colorful wallpaper that had cute rose patterns on them.

"Guys!" Wolf called all of his friends to get their attention, but no one heard him. The cat was also scared of the noises, chattering, and arguments from the five Bad Guys as it jumped into Wolf's arms.

Seeing that it was a disaster all over their hideout, Wolf didn't know what to do, as he himself felt completely lost of having any source of control over the renovations, as he quickly grabbed a nearby picture of him and the team while still holding the cat with his other arm, and escaped towards the elevator as he pushed the button to close the doors. Along the way to the elevator, he saw the whole hideout was a complete mess, due to all of the huge chunks of paint and wallpaper and wood and stuff that was being used during the renovation process.

Now that he was alone with the cat, Wolf took a minute to breathe and asked himself, "I don't understand! I thought working together would be easy when it came to decorating rooms, but it's turned out to be-," and stopped for a minute when he saw that there was a piece of wallpaper stuck on the back of his shirt, making him try to pull it off while he added, "Super messy!"

Wolf then looked at the photo he grabbed, which was the day that all 6 Bad Guys were celebrating Snake's birthday, and they were all smiling for the selfie.

Wolf couldn't help but chuckle a bit, remembering that day, as he comment, "Man, does this bring back memories? We may have been bad, but we were good at it; us working together as a team to do these crimes and heists, it sure helped bring out the best in each of us."

Suddenly, Wolf started to remember how they would do their heists, how each task they did brought out the best in one another, as he then suddenly snapped his fingers, saying, "Wait, maybe that's what my friends need me to do- to bring them together, to bring out the best in each other!"

With newfound motivation, Wolf pushed the button to open the elevator doors, he saw the hideout was still in chaos, and his friends were panicking, trying to figure out what to do.

"Okay, guys! Just stop!" Wolf yelled, and this time, he got all of his friends' attention as they all stopped what they were doing, and their eyes were on him, "Look, I love how much energy you're bringing to this. But this is supposed to bring us together, not pull us apart. And right now...

Wolf couldn't help but look around at some of the things around the rooms that were messy.

He saw how bits of different colored wallpapers were peeling off one of the bedroom walls (Piranha's bedroom), he saw how the window Tarantula had built on her wall was shattered, and the vacuum was still running around, until it crashed into Shark's dresser and broke down.

"It's a mess," Snake admitted, wrapping around a toolbox.

"Yeah, I-I-I didn't want to say anything," Hornet admitted shamefully.

"I'm in way over my head!" Piranha cried stressfully, holding a long plank of wood.

"I guess we're good at working together in heists and crimes back when we were still criminals, not in other things," Tarantula said sadly, trying to get a small piece of wallpaper that was stuck on her hand off of her.

"This is a total makeover fail!" Shark wailed.

"It's not a fail. It's a... work-in-progress now that we are still starting a new life," Wolf explained as the rest of the team believed what Wolf told them, and looked at each other smilingly, "Come on, guys. We can do this... together!"

Together, the team began to work together to fix up the rooms, and this time, they focused more on working together to achieve others' interests of the room design, and not just their own.

Piranha and Snake helped to lift Shark's dresser into his room, as Shark guided them, saying, "Pivot, pivot," and once the spot was perfect, both boys dropped it into place.

Wolf helped to paint the walls in Tarantula's room black while Tarantula was using her computer to adjust the wiring of the lights in Wolf's room.

Hornet was repositioning the shelf, screwing it into place with a screwdriver.

Shark was picking up some of the extra throw pillows that Snake didn't want on his bed in his room, while Snake was adding some clothes-themed disguise stickers onto Shark's bedroom walls.

Hornet and Piranha worked together to push each other's beds into place, in their respective rooms, before in Hornet's room, Piranha was greeted by the new window in Tarantula's room, which would connect them almost like neighbors.

Wolf was using a mop to clean up the paint and paste on the floor, and the Bad guys were busy scrubbing the excess paint off the walls that were not needed.

The team worked as hard as they could, together, to finish up all the decorating that they wanted to do.

The Bad Guys: Gonna work, work, work
Make our dreams come true
'Cause when we work together
There's nothing we, nothing we can't do

Gonna work, work, work
Got so much to do
Well, I don't mind the work
'Cause I get to work with you

Gonna work, work, work
Make our dreams come true
'Cause when we work together
There's nothing we, nothing we can't do!

With the job successfully done, the team all high-fived each other before Wolf pulled out his camera and said, "Say, bestie!"

The whole gang, despite being covered in paint and other assorted materials, gathered close and smiled for the camera.

Wolf took the picture, which was printed out later and placed right next to the TV on the TV stand.

With their finished work, soon, all 6 bedrooms were finally complete and beautifully decorated.

Soon, all 6 bedrooms were finally complete and beautifully decorated.

Wolf's room was painted white, a ceiling lamp in the shape of a star, with a wooden nightstand that had a lamp and alarm clock right next to his bed, which was located conveniently located on the right side of the room, near the back right corner.

Snake's room was painted green, with beanbags on the back corners of the room that looked like money bags, a tall palm-tree shaped lamp, and his bed, which was located on the left side of the room, and could be seen when you entered the room.

Shark's room was painted a beautiful shade of white, had his closet, which was on the right side of the room, where his disguises were held, his dresser, which was opposite of the closet, was on the left side, but positioned in the back, behind his bed, which was in front of the dresser and also on the left side of the bedroom, just like Snake's bed.

Piranha's room was painted shades of blue. His bed was opposite of the window that he made, has a wooden nightstand where his clothes were kept with a lamp on top next to the bed, and Piranha also had a little gaming station set up to play video games in his free time, a ceiling lamp, a long shelf was on top of the middle side of is room, and white pillows and blue blanket on his bed.

Hornet's room was painted orange. Hornet's bed was right next to the wall where the window Tarantula made was. And was opposite of the window he made in his bedroom, so the two friends could chat as neighbors, and he also had a dresser where on top of it was his helmet, and he also had a little beanbag to lie on if he didn't feel like laying on his bed. And right next to his helmet on the dresser was a photo of him and the team when he first became a part of the Bad Guys.

Tarantula's room was painted black, but for fun, she added glow-in-the-dark star stickers so her room could create a little glow. The shelf was on the top of the left side of the room, above her window, where she can chat with Hornet, and where she could store her laptop safe and sound, and she also had a little nightstand in the design of a DJ set, right beside her bed, with the same music pattern as on her shirt. Her bed was right next to the wall where the window was. Her favorite part was the ceiling lamp she had on the ceiling, that activated every time she clapped her hands.

The Bad Guys looked proudly around the hideout as they glanced at each other's rooms.

"Good work, team," Wolf smiled proudly for himself and his friends.

The whole chapter 6 is based on the mini-series My Little Pony: Tell Your Tale, A Home To Share. This is also the first chapter to have a song in this story

The song "Work, Work, Work" doesn't belong to me as I recreated the song with different lyrics.

Special thanks to MasterClass60 for helping me make this chapter.
