Criminals and Vigilantes for Life
When the Bad Guys made it back to their hideout with the bags of money they held and stole. Instead of laughing responses and smiling faces, they were just stunned. The Bad Guys felt like they were ice statues frozen in place, still overcome with being stunned by the previous turn of events that had happened earlier. In a way, it felt like a dream, but it was all real, and they lived every moment of it. No one said any word since they left the bank. No one spoke, no one moved, other than walking, of course, and, no one dared to trigger anything.
After a minute, Wolf finally spoke from freezing in shock since the robbery they made, "We did it... we did it... again."
Feeling concerned that his best friend might not like what they just did, Snake put his tail on Wolf's paw, and asked, "How do you feel, Wolf?"
"I feel... well, a little guilty," Wolf confessed. Snake knew he would respond like this, "But another thing I feel right now... I feel like I was having fun with you guys," His friends were surprised that Wolf admitted he was starting to like being bad again. as they turned to him. Wolf then asked "You guys feel that too?"
Tarantula answered, "Well, there was no wag, but it feels so good for me!"
"Me too! I missed this so much!" Piranha laughed happily.
"I just love hanging on the ceiling to watch you guys do your thing!" Hornet sighed dreamingly.
"It's just like old times! Woo!" Shark cheered.
Snake chuckled, "And I can't believe we still got it!"
"Do you think everyone thinks it was us?" Tarantula asked worryingly.
"Only one way to find out," Wolf called as he was already at the couch, and held the remote.
When the rest of the gang humped in to watch TV, Wolf turned the TV on, and showed the middle of the news about the robbery of Downtown Bank.
Tiffany then turned to the Chief with a huge grin, "Oh! Chief Misty Luggins! Nice seeing you here! What do you think of the situation going on-?"
Before Tiffany could even finish, the Chief stole the microphone from her, and declared, "It's no doubt I tell you, everyone! Surely the Bad Guys are behind this! This small gang seems to have those similar 6 figures with the noticeable method of robbery and now, I'm determined to get them for it!" The chief then went up close to the camera as she was talking to the Bad Guys in person, "Just you wait, Bad Guys. When I catch a sniff of you, you will have to answer this to the judge and regret not leaving prison. Might as well have to shove that money bag right up your mo-!"
Tiffany then quickly pulled the Chief away," Whoa, whoa, whoa there, Chief Luggins! We have kids watching this at home! Well...maybe not anymore," she grinned before taking the microphone back, and the Chief walked away, sulking... and kicking over a lone table. Tiffany then continued reporting, "Anyway, while there have been concerns from people and politicians, there has been no other evidence to prove that the Bad Guys are responsible. So they are taken off the suspect list and deemed 'not-guilty' in this case. Until the police and detectives identify the real culprits, all must remain calm and not fall to a hasty conclusion."
When Wolf turned the TV off, he thought he would feel it wasn't right, but seeing the chief's angry face, he couldn't help but let out a laugh from his lungs. He totally missed this. "Haha! Wow, I can't believe we pulled it off!"
"We robbed a bank without clues leading to us!" Piranha grinned while rubbing his fins together.
"Well, the chief does suspect us, but no one really knew it was us," Hornet said, crossing his arms.
"Wow, doing good and bad in secret might be a pretty good thing too," Shark said.
Snake nodded, forming a smirk on his face, "Yeah, we're still gonna live a normal life without anyone knowing we were doing crime fighting and robbing a bank."
"I thought I doubted this idea for a second, but I think we could be just fine." Wolf smiled. He looked at his friends, and realized that his life had become complete. He helped his friends change their reputation, and they helped each other fix the puzzle of what was missing in their new lives. Their lives wouldn't be complete if they didn't point out what was really missing; the goodness and the badness together combined! "You know, this all started when I convinced you guys that we should change our lives to be good and we can be more than just scary villains, but you guys thought me that we can be good and bad at the same time, showing that we can still balance our old bad life and new good life so we can live normal better live. The lives that can make us live in peace and happiness. We all taught each other so much!"

Wolf: Thinking of staying bad while acting good made me feel dizzy.
But you made it all so easy, easy.
Now I don't have to say what I'm thinking.
You already know without even blinking.
Tarantula: You boys are the friendship virus that's hacked into my heart!
Shark: The fabrics that make up my disguises like art!
Piranha: You are the spice that adds flavor to my life!
Hornet: The eyes in the sky looking out for me by my side!
The Bad Guys: Best friends until the end of time!
We'll have each other's backs!
And let our true selves shine!
And that's because everything we need is all right here!
When we're with our team!
Wolf: I simply can't imagine there'd be a day.
Where I wouldn't want to be walking your way.
Whatever new problems there may be, may be.
We'll work through them together, just like a family!
Snake: You are the cracking experts of my friendship safe
Wolf: The engine that makes my car drive fast during our escapes!
The Bad Guys: We bring the best out, that's our goal!
There's no telling how far we'll go!
Best friends until the end of time!
We'll have each other's backs!
And let our true selves shine!
And that's because everything we need is all right here!
When we're with our team!

At the police station, few of the cops were still studying the video footage of the security cameras from the bank, and Chief Luggins and Diane were watching the monitors.
Chief groaned angrily, "Keep searching! I am sure the Bad Guys did this robbery!"
The cops kept repeating the videos 10 times so far, and they didn't see the Bad guys on their monitors... although they were seen in the cameras, they were completely out in the open, but because of their disguises, they were never recognized as them.
One of the cops turned to the chief, and said, "Sorry, Chief. We kept rewinding the footage, and the Bad Guys were not there. Only we can see here in our security cameras were the employees and the citizens."
Chief was really angry as she threw his hat on the floor, and stomped on it, "No, no, no! Impossible! They should be there!"
Then, Diane tried to calm her down, "Chief, we can't accuse them soon. We don't have enough evidence, and if they were out in the open, we cannot arrest them too soon. We'll just have to keep looking for more evidence to see who robbed the bank."
As much as she wanted to disagree with the governor, the chief still thought about her job. If she would arrest the Bad Guys without any proof that it was them who robbed the bank, she would slowly lose her jobs for accusing someone, "Aargh!" The chief snarled as she marched out of the room.
Now that the chief was gone, Diane turned back to the monitors. She has also been fooled by the Bad Guys with their disguises, but even without any proof it was them, Diane knew it was the Bad guys who've done this. It was completely obvious for her. Despite the fact that there were a lot of criminals out there, including herself as the Crimson Paw, Diane knew better, and she wanted to have a word with them.

Back in the Bad Guys' hideout, the gang were counting the money they stole on the table, just in case they really stole just a little amount of money.
Piranha was just slouching on his chair, crossing his arms, and felt so bored while his friends were counting the money. "Ugh! How long should we count all this money?! We stole enough!"
"We have to make sure we don't steal too much. That's part of being half-good," Tarantula pointed.
Hornet was tapping on his calculator as he calculated the money that the gang sorted by category, "Hmm, I guess we stole just... $991.74."
"Huh, that is less than the money we stole before, so that's a good start," Snake smiled as the rest of the Bad Guys nodded in agreement.
Just then, they heard a ding from the elevator, apprehending that there was someone who found their hideout.
"Hmm, I wonder who that could be," Wolf then left the table, and walked towards the elevator.
When the elevator opened, it was revealed to be a crossed-arm disappointing Diane, still wearing her governor suit.
"WOLF!" She shouted.
"AAHHH! DIANE!" Wolf screamed as he pushed a button on the side to close the elevator doors.
This was a big problem. After seeing Diane's disappointing face, this meant that she found out about the Bad Guys' robbery, and they're gonna have a long lecture from her. It's gonna be hard to explain to her why they had committed a crime again, but she won't discuss it, not unless there was evidence on their table.
Wolf then turned to his friends, and warned them in panic, "Guys, Diane's here! We have to hide the money... now!"
As quickly as they could, Snake and Shark grabbed the bags, and Piranha, Tarantula, and Hornet shoved the money into the bags.
Wolf released his finger from the button, and was about to run to his friends to help them hide the money, "We gotta hide them right now! Come on, you guys..."
But then, the elevator doors opened by Diane when she pushed the button room. "What did you do?!" She shouted.
But she was cut off when Wolf ran back to the button to close the elevator, "Come on, you guys! Hu..." he released the button again to help his friends, but the elevator doors opened once again.
"You robbed a bank!" the governor yelled angrily.
Wolf ran back to push the button again. The opening/closing-elevator-doors-fight began to get suspenseful as Wolf kept telling his friends to hide the evidence fast, and Diane kept pushing the open button from inside the elevator.
"Hurry!"
Doors were closed and opened again...
"Hurry!"
...and again...
"Hurry!"
...And again.
"Okay, time out!" Wolf screamed as everyone in the room stopped in silence. Wolf then looked at Diane nervously, "So... Governor Foxington...," he snickered sheepishly, "How was your work today?"
But Diane wasn't falling for that as she stepped in the hideout, and glared sharply at Wolf, "Don't try to Clooney me again, Wolf!"
Wolf stepped back, still grinning sheepishly, "Look, it's not what it looks like!"
Suddenly, when Piranha was carrying one large bag, he tripped and fell, spilling some of the money inside of it, making the Bad Guys all widen their eyes and look at the spilled money before chuckling nervously.
Diane facepalmed, and shouted angrily, "I can't believe that you guys robbed a bank! Again! After a year of not doing any crime whatsoever! Are you trying to send yourselves back to prison?!"
Shark then said, "Hey, take it easy, baby. We just-,"
But Diane interrupted, "Once again, you guys had the perfect chance to do the right thing and continue on this path of being good, and you still didn't listen! What's so hard about NOT doing any crime?!"
Piranha wanted to answer the question and excitedly raised his hand, but Tarantula had him lower his hand with two of her legs, shaking her head no, as if to say, "I wouldn't answer that if I were you."
Snake then commented, "What's the big deal? So, we stole some money, but at least no one got hurt, and no one knows we did it. There's no harm in that."
Diane then commented, "That's not the point I'm making here! Look, you guys were released from prison so you could be able to have a new start and make something with your lives. Not just resort back to old habits!"
Wolf took Diane's words into consideration and then, something seemed to come into his mind, as he said, "You know something, Diane? You're right"?
That made both the team, and Diane, very confused.
"Wolf? What are you getting at?" Hornet asked nervously.
Wolf then explained, "You just said that us now being free is giving us the chance to do something with our lives, right? Well, this is what we want to do. Look, being good is nice and all, but deep down, we miss those days when we used to roam the street as criminals, and get to do crimes and heists and robberies like this."
Wolf then added while shooting his hands up when Diane opened her mouth to say something else, "And before you say anything, no, this isn't about what other people think, not this time. We chose to rob that bank. It is what we want. We want to do this."
Diane was still very upset with the Bad Guys about robbing the bank, but at the same time, she also felt a bit...surprised, to hear that they chose to want to commit a crime. It still didn't deter her anger, as she retorted, "Why would you want to intentionally rob a bank after showing everyone that you're more than just scary stereotypes?"
Wolf then answered, "Well, maybe we want to be criminals again, and it isn't for the opinion of the people, it's our decision. Remember when you said to me before, we have the chance to write our own story, a chance for us to find a better life together? Well, this is us writing our own stories, together. And this isn't some kind of stereotype. No, we don't do those things that people think about our species, but we do something as our way of deciding what we want with our lives together. When we do heists and robberies together, it's not just for the money or the valuables, it's because we're all making memories together. To us, doing this kind of thing is fun, and exciting, and well... it's what we do best, and it like our family business. So, it might not be what you want for us, or what other people might think, but you know what? It doesn't matter; we're doing this for only us. We only want to show who we are for ourselves, and we may be changed, but we can't get rid of something who we were before, because this... is the real us. We can't abandon our old life because..., we can't get rid of what was still part of us: being harmless criminals. Deep down, we've been keeping this feeling since we got out of prison. We couldn't hold it much longer. It would be best to let it all out instead of taming ourselves from what we couldn't try to keep it in: Our love and bondness for crimes. And you can't get rid of our badness, Diane. Because it's up to us to decide what we want to do with our lives, and that's keeping the part of who we were... and it's still part of us, Diane. We may do good, but doing bad is what makes us... US."
The rest of the Bad Guys all stood by Wolf, to show that they agreed with his statement.
Diane pinched her eyes and sighed quietly before replying, feeling very upset, "Fine, you know what? If you guys really are up for doing this, so be it! But don't expect me to be giving you any more chances! I tried to help you to give you a better life than this, rather than having a criminal bad life, but it seems you already have a better life for only you six: The worst life everyone could ever imagine! You're all just too stubborn to change to be good for the better! And if you guys get arrested again for this, I will not be helping to bail you out!"
Diane angrily walked towards the elevator, facing away from the Bad Guys, as the elevator doors closed behind her and took her back to the entrance of the hideout.
Wolf couldn't help but sigh a bit in sadness, feeling a little bit of regret, but seeing that his friends were still supporting him, made Wolf feel a lot better.
Snake placed a tail on Wolf's shoulder, "It'll be okay, Wolf. Maybe Diane would come around."
Wolf sighed, "Someday... but not soon."
Feeling the tension in the hideout, Hornet then suggested, "Hey, since we robbed a bank today, why don't we do a little vigilante job tonight, huh? For a new mission."
Wolf smiled as he remembered the idea of being good and bad together, "Yeah. We did good at being bad today, now we have to do good to help people and stop crimes out there from stealing stuff and taking our title."
"Yeah!" All of the Bad Guys laughed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The next night, at 3am, the Bad Guys had their stakeout in their car as they were parked somewhere in the city, waiting for crimes to pop up, and the cops won't be there in time to stop it. The Bad Guys had been waiting for a crime for 2 hours, and they were already bored. Half of them were already sleepy.
"Well this sucks!" Piranha slouched on his seat.
"I feel bored already!" Hornet cried as he bumped his head against the window.
Snake hated it when he's bored as he turned to his best friend, "Why do we need a stakeout? This isn't part of the plan."
Wolf sighed, and explained, "Snake, Webs couldn't hack to the other cameras of the city yet. There are many cameras we will need for our mission. Only the cameras captured outside of every building of the city, so while she was doing those, we should be in a stakeout in the meantime."
Tarantula blinked and leaned forward to her computer screen. "Uh, guys. Something looks pretty strange right there..."
"What is it?" asked Hornet.
"Look," she showed everyone her small laptop screen.
On the screen through one of the surveillance cameras nearby a mall, there was a broken window. It looked like somebody just threw themselves out of it before splattering on the ground. This was suddenly followed by a growing crackling from the radio device.
"Alert! Alert!" called a glitching voice from it. "We got a thief who stole an artifact from the Jewel Sparkle Store! We need all eyes on the thief!"
"That was pretty quick," said Snake. "I thought that they might steal something from a bank then go out to do personal shopping."
Before Hornet could add in another comment to that, he heard a swoosh behind him. In the distance, a figure was jumping over buildings, even taking a huge risk to leap through longer gaps between buildings. In the night sky, the brightness of the moon revealed the figure to be some guy dressed in a full ninja suit. Complete with a black classic robe and a full headset that covers the entire head with glowing green lenses.
"Right there!" said Hornet. "That must be that thief!"
The rest of the Bad Guys looked up just in time to see the ninja thief leaping downwards. Tarantula quickly checked back on her laptop, and through accessing another camera, she found that the ninja thief was currently taking refuge in a dark alleyway.
"Got you right there," said Wolf as he switched his car key on to start the car, and drove forward to follow the thief.
Meanwhile, the ninja thief took a break for a while. This took much longer than they expected. At least they had the diamond right in their hand. The size of a cupcake, but the fragments that made the rock and the shine on it would give enough money for their own profit...and funding for other operations. As they observed the diamond around to check if it would be really eye-catching, they failed to hear the Bad Guys dropping in.
"Hey!" called Wolf, disguising his voice as more gruff. "You got any more of your treasure to share?"
Uh oh.
The thief growls to herself, thinking that she could have gotten a much better mask to hear properly!
The thief turned around and quickly dodged the incoming punch from Wolf. They countered it by doing a roundhouse kick to the stomach. Just before they could do another attack, the thief noticed that they were surrounded by the rest of the Bad Guys.
Well, they could handle the number.
Shark charged in first to try to tackle the thief, though they quickly jumped over at the back of his head and attempted to roll him down. Thinking quickly, as Shark was sent to fall onto the ground, he lifted his hands upwards so that they could break his fall and pressed against the ground for him to roll around without harming his face. It also allowed him to use his feet to kick the thief who was still holding onto him.
That landed a hit, but the thief quickly got back onto her feet. Piranha came charging through and leapt up to try to take a few jabs at the thief, though they blocked it and quickly grabbed him before throwing him around. However, Snake quickly catches Piranha and flings him back towards the thief.
Trying to defend, the thief crossed their arms, though Piranha used it as a way to jump over them and got right in front of the thief's face. He used his feet to kick them right in the face before leaping to their behind and landing another blow.
The thief rolled around on the floor, but quickly spun around to get back up in a three-point landing pose... That was ruined when Tarantula and Hornet sent a wooden box swinging towards them, already tied to a nearby shade with a rope.
CRASH!
As the thief hit the floor once again, the diamond fell right out of the thief's robes, and Wolf gingerly picked it up.
"I will be taking that, thank you very much," he said.
The dizzy thief growled and tried to punch back. Though, it appeared that they nearly lost all concentration as it was predictable enough for Wolf, Hornet and Snake to dodge. They did it again at Hornet, though he just leaned his head backwards without even trying to fly away. They did once again, but Wolf and Snake just leaned backwards, and watched the thief bump into a pile of wooden boxes.
"I think we ruffle them enough," whispered Tarantula.
"Let's just knock them out," muttered Snake.
"No, let them try again," snickers Piranha. "It would be funny."
Wolf rolled his eyes and slowly approached the ninja. Though, they lashed out as they twirled around, managing to land a blow onto Wolf's face. In the process, this ripped the mask off his suit.
All of them were horrified by this.
But what made them confused was the ninja gasping, taking a few steps backwards. They suddenly stopped trying to fight back, looking as if they wanted to run away.
Seeing that the ninja wasn't going to do anything, Wolf punched the thief back, bringing them down to the ground again. Shark, Piranha and Hornet quickly tied them around in rope, but the thief didn't even bother trying to relent.
"Wolfie..." said Tarantula, picking up Wolf's mask. "I think we've blown our cover."
Uh-oh," said Wolf, rubbing his face. "What now?"
"Maybe we can wipe his memory with a frying pan?" suggested Piranha.
"Wait, that might only give them a worse concussion doing so!" said Shark.
Without warning, the thief took out one arm from the ropes and ripped the entire mask off. Gasping for air as well due to how stuffy the head cover is. The Foxington governor herself.
"Diane?!" All 6 Bad Guys exclaimed.
Diane grinned sheepishly, a bit lop-sided from the tiredness. "Hi there...heh, heh."
Nearly all of them are speechless, unsure what to say about this. Especially with what Diane was doing.
"...maybe we can have another round?" asked Diane, though it falls to be a lame offer.
"I don't want another round because of this whole thing... confused all of us!" Tarantula shouted as everyone agreed.
"You got a point," Seeing the Bad Guys together in their black bodysuits, and they were fighting her, Diane began to ask curiously, "Guys, what are you doing, and why do you dress like that?"
"Diane, what are you doing, and why do you have the diamond?" Wolf inquired.
Diane pointed her finger up strictly, "Ehh, I'm the governor! I ask the questions first! Now, what are you doing? What's going with you six?"
Wolf realized there was no more excuse to explain to Diane now that she saw them fighting her because they thought she was an ordinary thief as he sighed, "Okay, fine. Since you found out, there's no way of escaping this," he glanced around his friends, who were looking back at him with concern and fear. Wolf then turned back to Diane, and confessed, "On the night of our first day out of prison, we saw someone stealing a lady's purse, and we couldn't help but want to help."
"We?" Snake corrected him.
"Okay, one of us didn't want to help, but he did it anyway," Wolf chuckled as Snake rolled his eyes, "So, when we decided to get that purse back, we didn't want to show our faces because of... the experience at the gala."
"Getting a lot of good attention wasn't easy for us since the gala," Hornet reminded, but didn't bring up his PTSD moments.
Piranha added, "And that gala attention ended up a disaster when we got framed by that guinea pig."
Diane nodded in agreement as she did remember that event.
Shark then continued the story, "So, we don't want that to happen again, we manage to wear these suits. And it worked, the thief never recognized us."
"And we left the purse behind, and got away before the lady found out and retrieved her purse," Snake recalled.
"After that, it felt good doing good deeds, and we all felt the wag," Tarantula chuckled, "But we decided to help people in secret once in a while."
"We stopped the bomb threat!" Piranha cheered enthusiastically.
"And we stopped the goons delivering the stolen money, and sent it to the police station," Shark added smilingly.
"So it was you guys who stopped those two crimes!" Diane was surprised as the Bad Guys nodded, "Wow, I thought it was magic, but... I'm impressed. So, you guys are... vigilantes now?"
"It looks like it, yep," Hornet said,
"But, I don't understand. If you guys helped people, why did you rob the bank? Why did you go back to your bad ways?" Diane asked.
"Like we told you, Diane, we missed being criminals. It's more than our antics, it's what we do as a family. It's like our thing," Wolf explained as he and the rest of the gang moved closer together, "I know you said it's hard to abandon what you have, but sometimes, you can't abandon it because being bad is part of who we are, and we can't let it go. We may be able to accept that we can be good, but we can't let go of being bad. You can't take the bad out of us, Diane."
Diane's ear dropped as she looked at the Bad Guys, who were all shown their sad faces while being close together, even Wolf. All her time as the new Diane, after abandoning her identity as the Crimson Paw, she only thought the Bad Guys were just an ordinary group of criminals who wanted nothing but money and riches. But seeing them working together doing crimes AND crime-fighting, they were not just a group of friends in her eyes anymore, they were family. And they couldn't abandon the one thing they do together as a family. She never had any friends like Wolf had before, so she couldn't relate to what Wolf was thinking about his friends. Diane finally saw that the team meant everything to Wolf, more than being bad and good combined.
Diane sighed and nodded lightly, "I guess that is true, but what about those people out there? Are you worried that they would rely on your scary stereotypes?"
"Of course we're worried, Diane, but... but..." Tarantula spoke up, but she couldn't find the words.
"But we're not like those other animals who had bad reputations. We don't kill, we don't hurt people, we don't bite," Hornet was cut off when Tarantula cleared her throat, reminding him that she bit the gangster leader who created a bomb threat days ago, "Okay, one of us bites, but only for heroic reasons," He then continued, "We're not like that. I haven't sting anyone for years. We're not like those carnivorous wild animals who just killed innocent beings."
Diane had her paw grasped her right arm, "I guess you're right. I-I should've known about that too. You guys were well-behaved, even when you were still criminals back then. I only saw you guys robbing, stealing, and causing chaos, but you didn't hurt people along the way. They were just afraid that you're going to hurt them, but you never did. I should've listened to you guys back in your hideout. I should've known you were only doing this to bring back the good ol' days of yours to make your life complete. Being harmless criminals is part of who you are, and I can't get rid of it. It's up to you to decide if you want to get rid of it, or keep it. And since you still kept it, then it's fine. Who's stopping you, right?" the governor chuckled, "But, you're still doing your vigilante job?"
Shark answered, "Yeah. We decided to make a schedule that, like right now, we should be vigilantes at night, and criminals at day."
"Whoo! Wow, being good and bad at the same time is... confusing," Diane exhaled smilingly.
"Yes, it is... but I'm still loving it!" Wolf wrapped an arm around Snake as the whole team laughed. Then, Wolf turned to Diane with a worried face, "Did Chief find out?"
The governor shook her head smilingly, "Nah. She never found any evidence against you. It's cool you cleaned up your evidence."
"Well, if you want to be a criminal in secret, you just have to clean the evidence," Snake laughed, wiping his tail on his suit.
"Though it made me wonder, I understand why you keep your good deeds a secret, but why do you want to keep your criminal antics a secret too?"
"Because... we like our new lives. People weren't scared of us anymore, and treated us fairly. We just don't want them to hate us again," Piranha replied.
Diane understood once again by this reason, "As much as you guys wanted to stay criminals, you're still trying to avoid being disliked by the world again. I get it," she giggled, "You were just like any other person who likes to have fun and be mischievous. I mean, everyone can be mischievous, right?"
"Speaking of mischief, now what are you doing, Diane?" Tarantula asked.
Diane's smile turned down as she remembered she was still exposed as a thief who stole the diamond. She saw the Bad Guys glaring at her and crossing their arms, waiting for an explanation from her. Diane sighed, and said, "Okay. After I left your hideout last night, I was still furious about you going back to your bad habit. But then, I realized that, as a former criminal, I do miss doing crimes once in a while,"
The Bad Guys gasped in unison, "You do?"
"Well, you saw me as the Crimson Paw a year ago, and you saw how skillful and happy I am," Diane reminded.
"Skillful? Still feeling jealous about it. Happy? Oh yeah, I believe that," Piranha agreed.
"So, when you guys told me that doing crime is part of your life as a family, I reflected on that, and after that experience last year and your wisdom of truth, I realized that... I wanna do those things again. Deep down, I want to be the Crimson Paw again," the governor confessed.
"Really?" Snake asked, arching a brow.
"Well, not completely. Since Marmalade was framed as the Crimson Paw, I can't use my old suit anymore. If I use that same suit again, everyone will realize the real Crimson Paw is still on the loose, and it's not Marmalade, so we can't let him out of prison."
"Yeah, that guinea pig sucks," Shark deadpanned.
"So, when I got home, I got to my hideout, and made a new outfit."
"Honestly, it looks good on you this time," Hornet complimented while looking down at Diane's outfit.
"Really? Thanks," Diane giggled appreciatively, "So, I stole the diamond, and it felt really fun. It's not good, and I felt guilty about it, but...," she sighed in relief, "It's like old times. That was until you guys stopped me, and I'm surprised you're trying to stop a thief from getting away with the diamond."
"And we're surprised you're back being the Crimson Paw again," Wolf said.
"So, since you stole the diamond, and we stopped you, what are you going to do with it?" Tarantula asked.
Diane looked at the diamond that Wolf held. She shrugged and shook her head, "Nothing. I only stole it for fun, but I won't keep it."
The Bad Guys glanced at each other in shock as Shark asked, "But if you won't keep it, what are you going to do with it after you successfully stole it?"
"Well, the next night, I'll just go back to the same place, and bring it back again, but not in the exact same spot or the security will come after me," Diane explained.
"Right, right," Piranha agreed with that.
"But, since you already stopped me," Diane looked at the diamond again before glancing at Wolf, "You will be the one to return it."
"Wait, you want us to return it?" Wolf repeated her sentence.
"Yeah, I don't need it. That means I won't sneak back to the same place tomorrow night to return it. The diamond will be returned sooner than they thought. Besides, it's part of you vigilante job, right?" Diane said before walking away, knowing she had her fun, she'll just go home to rest
"Wait, Diane," Wolf called her as Diane turned to him, "If you're back being the Crimson Paw, will you do more crimes again like old times?"
Diane laughed while shaking her head that meant "no", and waved her hands too, "Oh, no, no. Can't. I'm a governor now. And my work is more important than my crime hobbies. I'll be the Crimson Paw again only on occasions, and it's my story, I wanna do more of being a governor than a criminal."
Wolf nodded and made an "OK" with his paw, "Respect."
"You know, being vigilantes is hard work. I don't think you guys can do this alone," Diane then handed over 6 compacts to them
"Uh, what are these?" Tarantula asked.
When the 6 took one compact for each, the opened it, and there was a static on the video screen where the mirror should be, and the lower part are small buttons where the compact powder was supposed to be.
"They're my communicators. Just in case you guys need my help that you can't do your job," Diane explained.
Wolf was surprised by Diane's gesture for them, "Wait, what? Really? You want to help?"
"Of course. And you also need some advanced weapons. For both of your vigilante and crime jobs, I can lend you some of my weapons."
Snake was a little suspicious that Diane volunteered to help them with both of their part-time jobs as he closed the compact with his tail, "Are you serious right now?!"
"I am. Since I won't be the Crimson Paw all the time, and I'll be busy working, I will give you some of my weapons. You need weapons more than me," Diane said.
"Wow, Diane, thank you! We appreciate the offer!" Wolf laughed, feeling happy that Diane supported his decision for his team.
"Well, good news, Bad Guys, you made a new ally, Me. I'll provide you everything you need for both of your jobs," Diane then extended her arm at Wolf, offering a handshake.
Wolf smiled as he shook his hand with Diane's, forming a new alliance between them
But Hornet still didn't feel like trusting Diane as leaned towards her face, "Wait. What's the catch, governor?"
Diane was startled when Hornet flew towards her face, and he showed his suspicious looks, "The catch? Just keeping each other's secrets."
Hornet fluttered backwards, and glared at Diane one more time while crossing his arms before saying, "Well, that's too easy."
Diane then told them, "Well, we better get out of here before someone finds out, and you guys should take care of that diamond. You know what to do with it," she then jumped into action as she ran off, and jumped over the fence of the alley.
The Bad Guys just watched the governor/thief go.
Tarantula stated, "I guess everyone likes being good and bad."
They all looked down at the diamond Wolf was holding.
"So, what are we going to do with the diamond?" Snake asked.
Wolf grasped the diamond in his paw, and smirked.

Later, the diamond was placed on top of the fire hydrant with signs of arrows pointing at it. The cops stared at it
One of the cops slowly pulled out a wireless radio speaker, and spoke through it, "Ma'am, the diamond was just sitting on the fire hydrant."
The Chief of Police was at her office, talking through her radio, "Fire hydrant? How did that get there? Where's the thief?"
"We didn't see him. We just found the diamond on this fire hydrant," the cop said.
"Check it out, boys. It can be a fake."
When two of the cops approached the diamond, one of them held it, and surveyed the diamond. By the looks of it, and how hard it was, the cop switched his radio on, and told the chief through it, "No. It's real. I can tell the real diamond from the fake diamond."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
From afar, behind the area of the cops, the Bad Guys were watching behind the building to see if the cops took the diamond.
It worked. The cops took it, and it was the right thing the gang would do instead of keeping it. And it did feel good to return it.
Wolf turned back to his friends, and said, "See? Easy as pie. Now, why don't we go home, and watch TV?"
When the Bad Guys walked back to where they parked the car, Wolf noticed Diane was in the driver's seat, driving the car backward from its parking spot, "Whoa, whoa whoa!" Wolf shouted as Diane saluted at him before driving the car away, "That fox stole my car!"
"What?!" Snake exclaimed.
Tarantula laughed hysterically until the boys turned to her, and glared at her for laughing at what Diane did, "Sorry."
Piranha then turned back in the direction where Diane drove the car away, "Oh yeah, well, two can play in this game. If she stole our car, we'll steal her car!"
"Yeah!" The rest of the Bad Guys cheered together.
Later, the Bad Guys successfully stole Diane's car, and Wolf drove it, but the car was too small for all of them to be in it as they got squeezed inside and against each other.
"Well, this is weird and uncomfortable," Wolf murmured.
Hornet was at the right side of Shark, who got pinned at the right backseat window, "Shark, can you move? I can hardly breathe!"
"I'll try, but Webs is right beside me!" Shark said with Tarantula was at his left side, got pinned at the left backseat window.
"Yeah, so don't squeeze me too hard!" Webs shouted.
"Could this get any worse?!" Snake groaned, who was squeezed by his seat because Shark occupied the space.
"Oh no..." Piranha felt his stomach didn't feel so good as he knew what was going to happen, "Not now!"
"No, no, no!" Wolf, Snake, Shark, Tarantula, and Hornet begged until Piranha farted, having green fumes spread all over the car, "PIRANHA!"
The car drove in zigzag as it sped through the freeway.

So, this chapter revealed that the Bad Guys were still doing their vigilante job while committing a crime in secret. They are really anti-hero criminals!
The song "Best Friends Until The End Of Time" doesn't belong to me. It was owned by My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. I only recreated a new version with different lyrics.
The scene where Wolf and Diane fought over with the elevator doors was referenced from Chicken Little.
That's right, folks! The Crimson Paw is back... Just occasionally and temporarily.
The part where Diane stole the Bad Guys' car was a reference from The Birds of Prey (2020)
