The Bad Guys were now in a JL shuttle flying to Atlantis with Cryptor at the controls and with Wonder Woman and Orgrim Doomhammer there.

"Aquaman needs your help down there. I will be helping the others while you 7 go assist Arthur." Wonder Woman said.

"The scuba gear will allow to swim, breathe, and fight underwater when you go. Shark and Piranha won't need one since they have gills." Orgrim said.

"Yeah... one problem with that." Piranha said.

"What is it?" Orgrim Doomhammer asked.

"I'm a freshwater fish." Piranha said.

"So?" Snake said confused.

"I'm not supposed to swim in the ocean. It can be really bad for my tummy." Piranha said.

"Are you kidding?! What is the point of a fish that won't go in the water?" Snake asked.

"I'm not saying I won't. I'm just not a big fan of
saltwater, hermano." Piranha said.

"YOU'RE A FISH!" Snake shouts.

"Whatever. Just don't get any salt on the Freshwater Princess over here." Snake said which insulted Piranha.

"THAT'S IT! I'M GONNA EAT THAT UGLY SON OF A CATERPILLAR!" Piranha yells as he tries to attack Snake but Wolf gets between them.

"Heeeey! Take it easy, fellas. Lives are at stake. The fate of the Multiverse is at stake." Wolf said as he gets his scuba gear on.

"Cryptor? Take us lower. Mr. Shark? This is your stop. And Piranha? It's your choice." Wonder Woman said.

"I'll do it, señorita. You can count on us. Those Dark Knights won't stop us!" Piranha said as he put his scuba gear on.

"Good for you, Piranha. I'll be thinking of you until we join you. And I sure hope you don't get a-SALT-ed!" Snake joked.

"OOOH! I'M GOING TO TEACH YOU A LESSON, YOU ROTTEN LITTLE BAG OF-POOOOOOOOOooooop!" Piranha shouts as he and Shark dive down into the ocean.

"Bad of what?" Snake called out laughing.

"Knock it off, bud. Here we go." Wolf said as they dive into the water.

"Batman asked me to meet you here. Atlantis is already under attack. A Dark Knight called The Drowned is attacking the city. She's controlling Atlanteans by covering them in something she calls "Deadwater". Our newest Zodiac Magus can guide you through the Silent School. Let's give her a hand." Aquaman said. They began to swim to the Silent School.

"Aqualad told me about Arian's Sigils. They'll protect you from detection until you step off of them." Aquaman added.

"You handle the Silent School. I'm going to coordinate city defense with Mera, Aqualad, and King Shark. I'll be back as soon as I can. Magus, reach out if you have a need of your king." Aquaman said as he swims off. They swim pass many deadwater monsters as they make their way to the school.

"You have strayed into the ring of Taurus the Bull! Prepare to choose one of your own to sacrifice so others may live!"

"Yeah, that's not happening!" Shark said.

"The Tomb of Arion! Only Only the School's Master is allowed to enter here. Until today. I will contact my King to have him meet us here." Magus said.

"Mera has the city well in hand. We even learned a few things about how to take down The Drowned!" Aquaman said.

"That's good to know." Princess said. They then saw a key relic on the tomb.

"That's the Key of Atlan! Batman is convinced it will help us save the Multiverse." Aquaman said as he goes to get the king.

"I'll take that. Thanks for opening the way for me. It's so much easier when your enemies do your work for you." The Drowned said coming out of the shadows. She fires her deadwater at them as they dodge and Shark fires back at her.

"The Key of Atlan is mine!" The Drowned said with her trident in hands.

They fight her with Aquaman to a underwater battle. Shark and Arthur were able to stop her due to the advantage they had in water.

"Drown!" The Drowned said as she cracked the ceiling, allowing water to spill in.

"Quick! Scuba masks on!" Diane said as Wolf, Snake, Webs, Princess, and Piranha puts theirs on just in time as the water filled the room.

"Pockets of air are escaping from the cracks of the tomb. Find them and stay there to catch your breath." Aquaman said as they fight The Drowned. They finally managed to beat her.

"That trinket won't help you! Hail Barbatos!" The Drowned said as she swims to escape.

"The Key of Atlan may be the... well... key to getting into the Dark Multiverse. Batman, Wonder Woman, and Hawkgirl are waiting for you on Thanagar to finally take the fight to Barbatos. We could be in the road of winning this thing!" Chester said as a breach opened for them.

"Finally! I like being on land and not water." Snake said as they go through the breach to Thanagar. They take their scuba gear off as they go to the heroes.

"Listen up. The Thanagarians have agreed to let us attempt an incursion into the Dark Dimension. This is a one shot. The soldiers will escort to the control room and watch outbacks. If we fail, they will use the Phoenix Cannon to destroy Earth. You ready?" Hawkgirl said. The Bad Guys nodded as they head to the control room.

"Let's take the fight to them!" Wonder Woman said as they charge.

"You!" Hawkgirl said in surprise and anger. It was Lieutenant Thrasher, was a traitor.

"Poor little hawk. You really didn't see this coming, did you?" Thrasher said.

"But... you renounced Onimar Synn! All the good work we've done together! All the glorious battles we share..." Hawkgirl said in shock.

"Meaningless. A means to the end." Thrasher said.

"Don't listen to him. He's trying to play games with your head." Batman said.

"I can't believe that you'd still serve that soul-destroying monster!" Hawkgirl said.

"Serve him? When he learns my alliance with Barbatos gave him a universe of souls to devour, Onimar Synn will ask me to rule by his side!" Thrasher said.

"How... how could you...?" Hawkgirl sputtered in disbelief.

"You see it now. All roads lead to darkness. Take this gift and embrace that hopeless truth. I even got your pet snake a gift. Here, catch!" Thrasher said as he tossed two metal cards at them.

"Don't!" Batman said as he and Wolf go to stop them.

"What is..." Hawkgirl said as she and Snake are engulfed in a dark aura. Snake screams in pain as he to transform. The dark metal changed them to Lady Blackhawk and BlackViper.

"We see it all roads truly lead to darkness! Witness the power of Barbatos!" Lady Blackhawk and BlackViper said in unison. Princess was terrified by seeing Snake evil. They then attacked the Heroes. BlackViper attacks Wolf.

"Snake! Stop! This isn't you!" Wolf said.

"This is me! The REAL me! I've wore many masks in my life!" BlackViper said as he blasted Wolf.

"A criminal!"

Blast at Wolf.

"A friend!"

Another blast at Wolf.

"A father!"

A harder blast at Wolf.

"A hero!"

A stronger blast at Wolf.

"A monster! But only one new mask came back!" BlackViper said as he blasted Wolf harder against the wall.

"Destroyer!" BlackViper said. Wolf sonic howls at BlackViper, hoping to knock some sense into him. As did the heroes with Lady Blackhawk.

"All roads...darkness.." Lady Blackhawk moaned.

"Darkness... pain..." BlackViper moaned.

"I will show you two the truth! Together, we can save them all! Even Carter!" Wonder Woman said as she wrapped them in her Lasso of Truth.

"I... want to... hope again!" BlackViper said as he struggles.

"My lasso will restore you to your true self!" Wonder Woman said as she punched them with her lasso, pushing the metal cards out of them. Unfortunately, they were still stuck looking like those dark forms.

"Wonder Woman?" Lady Blackhawk said.

"We're in this together, Hawkgirl." Wonder Woman said.

"Wolf? Is it you?" BlackViper asked looking confused.

"It is me, buddy." Wolf said.

"I'm still stuck looking like this." BlackViper said in sadness.

"Maybe when we stop Barbatos, it will undo this form." Wolf said.

"Let's go punch a hole into another universe!" Lady Blackhawk said.
